    No deal if it says….

    From $5892

    Try again!

Potentially the wrong website for this deal. We're more about cheaply upgrading economy class to business class via redemption points.

    • +7

not everyone on this site would have the same 'goals' when it comes to bargains or what classifies as a bargain

      • +1

You're right. Good point. I take it back.

        • Are you insinuating rich people don't have goals?

think he/she is doing the opposite.

        • @carlscott1982:

you can't delete your comment and then question mark me.

    Example dates

    20 Jan

    BNE-AUH-CDG

    Return

    10 March

    CDG-AUH-BNE

    • $5892.00 (Incl all Taxes)

email me to find out: [email protected]

(It only says from cause we aren't suppose to say the exact price in case the taxes change by a dollar or so.)

  • isnt that around the same price with a coupon?

    • I haven't used a coupon before. However this airfare quotes directly in our system and doesn't require a coupon code or anything.

Also from what I have heard the ones you use a coupon with do not include chauffeur pick up and drop off.

Let me know if you would like to go ahead.

    • It was less than 5k with the recent 30% off coupon. And yes Chafuer was available as long as it was booked in the correct fare class, coupon or not doesnt make a difference to the booked fare class

It is indeed a bargain, but I don't think you understand what ozbargain is about, next time come with eneloops.

    • +9

Any deal or bargain should be encouraged here.
There might be others who are keen to this deal. It's still a good saving of 3k for business class.

  • What are the travel dates on this deal?

    • Any date. It is year round.

We just need a specific booking class but there are no seasons. It is simply up to availability.

Shoot me an email with your dates and departure city and I can have a look for you.

  • This is a good deal

  • you can potentially do this cheaper if you buy the AA points with the bonuses. i think it was around 3.5k usd plus taxes for business return to europe

    • From memory Etihad is around 202,500 points return to Europe @ AUD0.028c each (typical sales price) which is about $AUD5.5K plus taxes. So probably not much in it.

Mind you Qantas or Qatar is 170K AA points to Europe return which is a more reasonable $4800 plus a couple of hundred in taxes.

    • How much are taxes? US$250? Assuming that, that's USD3750, which converts to a bit more than AU$5k.

So you'd be saving a few hundred, but wouldn't get the points/credits for the flight, so not much in it. Especially as availability would be better if buying direct than through an FF scheme; especially if more than one or two people travel.

      • +1

Also would depend if with FF you still get the CHauffeur drives.

Also if you only save a few hundred might be worth paying that to get the points and do it when this fare isn't available anymore.

Also will get status credits with VA.

        • Correct. Chauffeur drives not available on AA ticketed stock.

  • Try looking for a flight through HK or CMB to Europe. You'd find crazy cheap fairs for business class. I nabbed one in July this year for $1500 one way (BNE-AUH-CMB-AUH-LHR) on priceline.com.

  • What's your best prices on Economy for ~march ?

PS. It's good to see a travel agent on here finally, I hope more join us!

    • Hey

YEs we can. Shoot me an email and I can get the fare for you. Some under 1600/1500.

      • I'm certain these were $1165 or lower with the recent 30% off.
I'd expect similar to be available ~2mths from my travel dates (if not presently). Sent you an email!

Other carriers have been $200-300 cheaper (eg. Royal Brunei).

Deal reoccurs every 2 months it seems:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/266167
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/274847

Surely you have access to similar prices?

        • travel agents only have access to the prices that carriers have on offer… its not like they just choose when to put up sale fairs

        • @SBOB: From how I hear lufthansa alliance works, that's not entirely true. I'm sure other networks/carriers are similar. I also hear agents claiming better prices than "carriers have on offer". Hell, half the time the aggregate search engines have better prices than the official airlines websites…

  • Is this available for open-jaw itinerary's?

    • Yes it is.

I got your email and am replying to you now :)

  • +1

Now every salesman gonna come to ozbargain.

It's gonna be like '' everything at Harvey Norman 10% off, just tell me what and I'll order it for you in my store, email me at [email protected]''

    • I was thinking along the same lines. Feels like people are now advertising (indirectly) to get business.

      • Either way this is an amazing deal. Which is only available because we sell. If we don't sell, then there are no deals for anything.

I have been a user of OzBargain for a long time, from saving on phone bills, food, hotels etc.

I am simply looking at returning the favor, even if it means me reducing the price down to offer a true bargain to OzBargain users…..as I have used many a times.

        :-)
