I personally would opt for the WD, despite that price difference. I had two Seagate hard drives in succession that would only connect to my computer if the cord was constantly held at exactly the right angle while in use. Both failed within a few months.
I would not recommend them to anyone, especially anyone looking to store important personal or business data.
My new WD hard drive has been working perfectly for the last 6 months.
This^, fairly or unfairly; Seagate hdds have a reputation for being unreliable. I had a total of 4 Seagate HDDs the last 10 years and they all died on me. I don't have the same issue with WD and Samsung ones
Yeah I have the passport 1TB that I bought 5 years ago. Still going strong. During that period I had 2 toshibas and both suffered media errors.
The Seagate is an SMR drive.

It's only $10 off for the Seagate. I'd wait and see if it goes down further the next few days or weeks.
If it does just open a support chat with Amazon and they will refund you the difference no worries
How many times can you do that on the same product? Because Amazon pricing is very volatile, like the share market.

Probably not much of a difference as even the older 4 TB drive was a recent product.
