        • Camera house price for cannon m3 is 499 and 22mm lens 229 and willing to price match or beat anyone's price
So will do m3 for 450 or both for 680 and cheaper if it's in stock

        • @Beach Bum:

a bit too late for that since it was a pricing error from JB and the page has been taken down lol

That is a M3 Body Only.
JB was selling M3 + 18-55 kit lens

        • @TightAssDrake: maybe on m10 but their m3 price isn't that far off
Body and lens is what I talked to the chick at CH about

        • @TightAssDrake: ok well she said they had a new catalogue where a lot of prices had fallen with the new models
But hang on I'll ring her back

        • @Beach Bum:

If its $499 for EOS m3 + Kit lens thats a really good and should be posted.

        • @TightAssDrake: yes I was surprised
Hopefully she wrote it all down like she said but gone home now
I was just ringing them cause jb don't let you lay-by

        • @TightAssDrake: Last week you could purchase the EOS M3 Triple Lens Kit (18-55mm, 55-200mm & 22mm) for about $560 (after cash back) from Ted's ebay store. Similar sort of value to this if you sold off 1 or 2 of the lenses.

  • +11

I thought it was too good to be true :( I hope some of you got a camera

    • Sure did! Thanks! Did you get one?

      • +7

        Nah I don't need a camera :)

  • +2

Most link's is backup now with the right price !
Massive pricing error by JB-Hi-Fi but tops to them for honoring some sales at least !

EOS M3 is $486.65 after cash back :) for those that are still interested.

  • Can anyone recommend me a SD Card to bundle with my EOS M3?
    And also additional batteries.

    Thanks.

    • If you're mainly interested in stills, grab anything Sandisk Ultra, if you're likely to do video, grab Sandisk Extreme or Extreme Pro. 32GB or 64GB is normally plenty.

      • The video is fairly low bitrate with a max of 1080p 30fps. Ultra is plenty enough speed. In fact its for stills that I'd go for a faster card so it can clear the buffer faster allowing you to continue shooting

      • How about 128gb?

        • No reason not to if you don't mind spending the money, but if you were shooting RAW, that's gonna hold over 4000 photos, and JPEG probably well over 10,000!!

    • 64gb SanDisk Extreme Pro is only $52 at MSY, and $119(!!) on sale at Good Guys. That is what most people with DSLR and high end cameras use.

    • it doesnt with a sd card, right?

  • Argh, just found out about this deal and looks like I'm too late! Is there anything worth getting still, I'm after a mirrorless camera :/ The M10/M3 and olympus seem to be all sold out/price increased. Only thing I think may be worthwhile is the A6000 with 16-50mm lens

  • +1

I just went into a store to get the deal on the M10 that I saw this morning. Was told it was a pricing issue and been removed from display but the team member happily got it out for me. No apology notice.

I then went back and checked the prices on all of the other cameras. All wrong but all still on display. Manager said they could not sell the M10 and it had to be removed from display. Had no idea about the other prices.

    Sounds a little dodgey.

  • Did anyone who ordered a camera for delivery actually get theirs shipped out?

    • +1

I placed two orders early this morning, and as of mid-afternoon today their status had changed from "pending" to "shipped" when I logged into my JB account. Yet to receive an email confirming shipping details though.

      • oh nice! had the om d em10 in my cart with the 5℅ off but missed out on checking out..

        • I'm not getting too excited until I actually receive them. Didn't even know about the 5%, but for these prices I don't really care!

  • I went to JB in the city half an hour after opening. Apparently a few guys bought the 3 or 4 stocks of the Canon M10 they had. Luckily I managed to get one before alarm bell raised. Alright which one of you went to JB city and cleaned the stocks up? Bastard. Lol.

    • Which city store did you go to? It sounds much like what I heard from the Strand store yesterday when I tried to pick up mine. (I had to get one from North Sydney btw)

      • Lol that's where I picked mine up

  • Bugger. I missed out on the dse camera fire sale and now this one. I can never seem to get the good deals on camera. Oh wells, the only positive is that I saved a minimum of $200 :D

Can anyone upload a link a copy to their canon 70D receipt my local jb hifi has one but they won't sell it to me for the price here, because they can't get to this price.

  • +1

I ordered M3 + 22 at 8am. Unfortunately didn't know about the 5% off at the time, but oh well.

Was worried all day as my order was "In Progress". Went to the store in the evening to pick up and they cheerfully handed it over :)

    Thanks Trent!

  • +1

    Thanks Trent86, yet again
In fact got a better deal in store

    -LG 65UH770T for ~$2000
    -Sony FDR X3000 ~$325
($100 eftpos brings it down to ~$225)
    -Sony 900BT Car Stereo ~$130

    • Great price on the action cam. Was that before or after they updated their web price?

      • After updating on web.
Walked into store this morning around 11 purchased all of this. Bargained further 10% down on TV to ~$2000 and Car system . Camera scanned initially at $348 by the time I finished my negotiation on Tv ..camera went up to $450ish but as I was earlier given price of $348, they honored it and also 5% off coupon worked, so $325ish

  • Picked up the Sony FDR-X3000 4K action cam for $442! Been waiting since it's release at $649 for a price drop…throw in the EFTpos $100 cash back promo and my TRS refund next week that's a super hot price!

Final price $402…the price error amount would've been better but I'm happy :-)))

    • picked up mine for $331….. with eftpos card, takes it down to $231….. happy man

  • Yes.. like a few others here. The missus went to a JB and asked about the Olympus EM10 MK2, and they already got the memo it was a pricing error. Rang up two other places, Forrest Hill and Elizabeth Street here in Melbourne, and both said they wouldn't honour the price.

Elizabeth St did say they could give it for $750 … so with the $150 'cash back', makes it down to $600 .. so still thinking that it's still a rather good price?

    • Yes it's a great price for a great camera. Cheapest before this deal has been $799 but usually it sells between $829-$899 with the 14-42EZ. So for $750 + cashback and accessories pack it's still a great price.

    • +1

It was never out of stock. Jusr pricing error! Hahah

      • Yeah aware of that sorry. Just to say that it is now purchasable again. Wish it was in a catalogue so I could claim price protection.

  • +1

i dont believe the canon eos m10 was a pricing error. it's a crap camera and they would be instructed to move it through.

    i bought 2 anyway + 22mm lens.

    thanks for the post.

    • +1

Not that crap for an APSC sensor camera with touch screen and support all EFM/EF/EFS lens. You can definitely take pictures as good as 80D.

  • Ordered M10 and 22mm this morning with 5% off. Status is currently still "In Progress".

    • +1

No idea why someone would neg you for this. My order is still in progress. Might just feign ignorance and drop by the store to pickup my order.

      • My order status just changed to shipped.

FYI I ordered early in the morning before they pulled the prices, ordered with the additional lens and ordered with delivery, not pick up.

        • I'm.not hopeful but my order still says in progress. I ordered before 9am for pickup. When I went in store they simply said it's not ready yet….nothing about wrong pricing etc. So maybe….

        • +1

I got an email today saying my pickup order was ready. Amazing. Hoping I don't get disappointed when I drop by the store. Props to JB for honouring the order!

  • +6

Wondering why some of you missed out? This person picked up 7 x M10 and 2 x M3

    • Noticed they are also selling a couple of the Sony "12 days of Christmas" special items as well

    • +2

Wonder which JB would be stupid enough to honour all of those units? Or did they buy them from separate stores?

      • +1

maybe the seller is an employee? maybe

    • Be a shame if they were all bought and never arrived

    • Looking at his prices, that works out to a total profit of at least $2850 once they all sell, assuming he got the 5% discount.

He didn't even list the M3 correctly though. The title says it has a 15-45mm lens in the bundle, which is wrong, and different from the photo.

      • You're too optimistic I think.

        Expenses
        Initial investment
        $311.10 x 7 + $470.00 x 2 = $3117.70 - 5% = $2961.82
Express Post Satchel 500g + Express Post Signature on Delivery
        ($10.31 + $3.20) x 9 = $121.59

Sales (assuming all sold via eBay)
        $499.00 x 7 + $659.00 x 2 = $4811.00 - 12.7% (eBay + PayPal) = $4200.00

        Cashback
        $150 x 9 = $1350

        Profit
        $4200 + $1350 - $2961.82 - $121.59 = $2466.59

        • Yes, I forgot the eBay and PayPal percentage. Still a nice profit though!

    • They've all been taken down, must have been an OZB member!

      • +1

        no they haven't?

        • Hmm, I clicked it before and it said the seller had no items for sale. May have been a glitch on my end, my bad.

    • +2

      hes from ozbargain

      even selling a sony clock

      scum

      • +2

        i agree, what a scumbag.

      • +1

Honestly, What is wrong with that?

  • -1

Thanks OP. I didn't buy anything but good for price protection claim

  • Anyone know if JB is honouring the pricing issue?

    • +1

They did for anyone that's already paid and collected or bought in store before they stopped selling them, and as far as my online order went it's been shipped and I've been provided a tracking number so looks like it :)

      • Props to JB then.

    • Likewise my two online orders have shipped with tracking numbers. Should receive them Monday by the looks of it.

      • Yeah I received my order later that day on Thursday. Very happy with it, now just to wait for my $300 cash back!

  • Would there be any reason to submit the claim to Canon for two cameras separately (M3 and M10), instead of doing the double cashback option by putting it together in one claim? As far as I can tell, the rebate works out the same total each way, I'm just being cautious to see if people think there is more likely to be any problems doing it one way or another.

    • One cash back per transaction
      12. Only one cash back (whether it is the Cash Back or Double Cash Back) may be claimed per transaction. Receipts cannot be combined.

    • I would do it separately as they are both seperate specific deals. But I don't think either way really matters.

  • M10 is dirt cheap :(

    • Where?

  • +1

Went to Macquarie store today and tried to pick up my Canon M3 camera (pick up store should be Castle Hill Home store but they don't have stock) They said they have 6 Canon M3 camera but it is reversed by a customer, thus no camera for me.

2 hrs later, I called Macquarie store and check the Canon M3. The staff replied me "Yes, we have stock", but 5 secs later he said all gone.

It look like JB hifi want to hold the stock for Xmas sale.

  • Looking at getting Samsung 55' KS8000. Seems like a good price at this stage.

I note that JB, Harvey Norman, Good Guys all have it just under $2,000 until Christmas. In your experience with these stores, how likely that these prices will stay or drop further after Christmas, after the current deal ends?

Also, do you know if any of them offer 30 day price guarantee?

    Thanks.
