  • Can also confirm that its a pricing error. Staff got notice to not sell for now. Expected to be resolved by 12pm though I expect it will be at the correct prices. Good luck for all those that managed to pay online.

  • arghhhhh…..

My local store had no stock and said will call me as soon as they get some stock in (ETA tomorrow), and I've already paid in full.

What do you think they'll do with my order?

  • For professional-level photography work, 70D, 80D, D7200, A6000 and A7 are the cameras to buy.

    • +2

Who are you talking to and why?

  • Waking up to pricing error is the best feeling! Thanks OP, got myself a Canon M10 +20mm lens.

  • Canon EOS M10 $161 —> out of stock?

    • Price error. Read the last 10 comments above.

Awesome! Got my pickup email for EM10! Thanks OP!

  • Olympus m10 price updated at store register.

    Is now 764.15,when scanned .

    • yep thats more like it..

still a great price but the earlier one was an absolute steal..

  • Damn it! I paid $870 for omd m10 II 2 weeks ago from JB. Which credit card does a price guarantee?

    • Read the other comments. It is a pricing error, they are not going to match it now.

  • +5

First store I went to I was about to pay and then the store manager told me it's a pricing error. I raced to the next closest store and managed to snag the deal.

    Canon EOS M10 - $311.10
    CANON EFM 22m f/2 LENS - $223.20 (10% off)

Then 5% off of total using the JB coupon for total of $507.58 - $300 cash back
    Grant total = $207.58

    WOW thank you OP.

    • Nice work!!

    • Then TRS that sucka like I will…equals winning.

    • that's what I had in mind when I had time later in the AM!

Who is still waiting for their pick up email?

    • I am, getting pretty nervous too.
      Ordered around 8:30am

    • Ordered at 9am …. hope jbhifi honour my order

    • +1

Ordered at 9:07am. They cancelled my order (on the website), but I haven't received the cancellation email yet.
      Damn you, JB Hifi.

      • What did you buy?

        • Canon M10 and Olympus E-M10

  • I was stoked and about to go in for a RX100 III but just before leaving I checked the website again and it was gone!! Lucky I checked again or I would have bought westfield giftcards which I wouldn't have been able to use!

  • +1

Went to my local 15 minutes after they opened and they didn't have one on display but 5 in stock (could see them on the top shelf). Scanned at $468 I think he said but they couldn't actually sell any because it was gone from the website and they had the notification that it was a pricing error.

Kind of disappointed but also glad, I have no self control when it comes to OZB and my partner would have killed me lol.

  • +5

I was up when this deal was posted, and I resisted to buy a single item from it. I am quite happy to say I am proud of myself, as impulse-buying was becoming my biggest weakness lately. I hardly used the two Nikon cameras I bought from two deals late last year, so no more cameras for me, except just specific one I had my eyes on for a while (and JB decided not to include in this deal).

    • +2

Haha. Same here. Almost folded and bought the Olympus em10 but resisted

      • +2

Dude, anything on a deal I would buy and just leave it in its box unused. From the recent JB gaming deal, I bought the 500GB XBOX One S, with several games, and I played it just once. I am not a gamer, so I don't know why I really bought it. The 4K capability was the main motivator, but I don't even have a 4K TV. FML! Lol

        • +2

Haha and I thought I was bad - you're way worse!

        • +1

@Dan83: OzB gave me a hard to beat addiction, mate! I used to be a great saver, and now that's something of the past. I feel like getting myself into a rehab or something. Lol

        • +1

@AussieDaddy: Feel the same way. Lol

        • So what you're saying is… you need to buy a 4K TV? Get the Samsung KS8000

        • @Cooties: Hmm! That thing is too expensive for a tight-arse like me. No more buying a couple-of-grand items on impulse, that I would probably lose interest in using them pretty fast. I am hoping to get back to my tight-fist, pre OzB days. I know it's hard, but will try and hope for the best. :)

    • +1

I was up too and regret not buying..could have sold them used a year later and get your money back..

But then again I already bought EM10 MkII just recently so it wasn't really necessary.. but this sort of deal doesn't come along often. Good on JB for honoring the purchases for those few lucky people though.

      • I know. I read a couple of comments that JB cancelled some orders though. Not cool. At least they should honor the purchases that went through before they "corrected" the prices.

  • Having big regret not getting the 22mm lens at the same time. Anyone reckon I'd have much of a chance going back and asking them to refund and resell or just reissue receipt for the camera + lens for double cash back?

    • +2

haha no mate the deal is over, it was a pricing error just be glad you got the cam :)

      • Haha yeah… think you might be right, rats! Need to just be happy :)

        • Keep an eye on eBay - the 22mm lens comes up pretty regularly and can be had for around $150 used. It's an awesome lens just so you know - I have it and love it!

        • Why not try it?

just don't take your supercheap camera into the store with you heh

    • Same, tbh, i think i'll try and get them to do this.

    • Good luck finding stock of it if you are in Sydney. When I ordered at 7:30am this morning, there were only 3 stores that stocked them and I ended up buying both the unit and the lens from the same store.

      • -2

Thanks for being so positive! Hope you drop both :)

        • Just letting you know my observation this morning. No need to go on like that or neg my comment or be a tool about it.

      • +1

You can buy the body at one store and the lens at another

UPDATE: bought the lens kit as well. They also combined the transactions onto one receipt for cash back.

    • FYI, bought the lens kit as well.

They also combined the transactions onto one receipt for cash back.

  • Damn it! I paid $870 for omd m10 II 2 weeks ago from JB. Which credit card does a price guarantee?

    • lol

  • +1

If you haven't received your 'ready for pickup' email, suggest you pop in to the store and ask for the a pick up.. I just did that without any problem — just in case if they decided to cancel the order later.

    • +1

I have an hypothesis that you'd have more chance for them to honor it if you picked up the extra lens than not. Basically they will lose the lens in the transaction that they'll probably pick up a rebate somehow from Canon anyway.

    • no question ask?

      • +1

        no question at all

  • for online order - pickup in store, how did you receive the tax invoice? will the invoice be sent to your email later?

    • They told me it'll be in the email soon.. Later today most like

    • Check 'My Accounts' on the JB Hifi website. The Tax invoice is on there. There's a print button.

      • got it, thx!

  • +1

Thanks OP and bchliu, managed to get the Canon M10 and the 22mm lens for double cashback. for those that called up and asked jbhifi to hold, get in there as the sales person parked my sale which meant i paid $311 for camera, less 10% bundle with lens and also 5% for signing up to newsletter. maybe those who held for you might have parked the sale too.

  • FYI for Sydney-siders who ordered m10 and have not collected. Better act fast as there aren't many stocks and likely to on back-order
I ordered mine this morning at 9am and not the confirmation email, but the not the email to collect.
Went to Strand JB Sydney to check and been told that they were smashed with numbers of orders to collect but there are no stocks. They also said there are 2 left in North Sydney and 1 in Leichhardt and I managed to collect mine from North Sydney instead.

    • so if i got the email to collect but havent picked it up yet, does that mean that its reserved?

      • I imagine it'd be held behind the counter with your invoice/collection docket taped to it.

        • thanks :)

      • Yes. If you got email for collection, you are all good.

  • Ordered a Canon EOS M10 with 22mm pancake this morning with click and collect. Got the confirmation email and ready for pickup email around 10 this morning. I can't get to the store until tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully there's no problem when I get there. It'd be a waste of a drive otherwise.
Still, I've always wanted to try the 22mm Canon pancake. I know the EM10 isn't great, but for $200 your basically paying for the 22mm and getting a bonus camera. (The Sony a6000 is my primary camera with the 35mm f1.8. What a combo).
    Anyway, just wanted to share.
    Thanks OP!

  • I almost get this deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/276773

For olympus emd10m2 for $570 after rebate

Now I got it here for $433 after rebate with lens. Big smile.

    Thanks OP

    • i would of bought that but the silver colour was a bit offputting

      • I got the black one

  • Picked up a 700D for my dad, kicking myself that I didn't add on a lens for myself to get double cashback! Called ahead (Hobart CBD store) to confirm the price of $654.50 at about 11:30am, but at 12:30pm when I went in store the guy I spoke to on the phone was on lunch and the new guy said it was scanning at about $750, but I showed him the screenshot from before the website sold out and it was all good. Wasn't able to use the 5% off voucher, but no sense in arguing, dad would have killed me if I'd missed out on the sale!

  • +2

The Sony A6000 is still available to buy, looks like they got more stock or updated the stock numbers. Got one with the 16-50mm lens for $734.58 after 5% coupon.

    • Does the 5% coupon apply to each the camera and lens, or just the camera? I ask, coz the A6000 is showing $594.15 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/cameras/dslr/sony/sony-alpha-ilce6…, and the lens is %199 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/cameras/Lenses/sony/sony-selp1650-…, so with 5% discount I am getting different numbers, unless you bought a different lens.

      • +1

Yes the 5% applies to both. The lens is 10% off if you buy with the body in same transaction. So 5% discount is calculated based on that price. The lens costs $170.14 and the body is $564.44 on the online receipt.

        • O! I see. It's that 10% off of the lens from Sony that I miscalculated. Thanks, guys.

      • +1

I can confirm that 5% coupon apply to both. You can try adding both to cart and apply the coupon code. Should work.

  • How long do you reckon it will take for the cash back to go into my bank account? 2-3 weeks?

    • Let me check the T&C's for you:

      20. Claims will be processed within 30 days of the Promoter verifying the claim by sending a non-negotiable cheque or carrying out an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

  • Woo got the EOS m3 + 22mm !

    • Me!!!

  • Does anyone know how much the M3 is in store now?

    • $750 but you get $150 cash back so $600

      • And just imagine that some lucky buyers got it, with EF-M 18-55mm lens, for $320 after cashback this morning. If I were interested in it I would rather wait for another deal, than pay $600 after cashback.

        • Yeh but in this scenario you can get an extra 10% off for getting another lens with it + the 300 cashback + potential TRS + additional 5% off with newsletter coupon. I wonder how long it'll take those stars to align again for me? Good for those who got the pricing error, but it's still a potentially good deal otherwise since there's still a lot of stacking!

        • +3

The M3 with kit lens has been $300ish last year with TGG 20% and Canon cashback, so it's not unheard of. It's an overpriced camera to begin with.

        • @Orpheus:

But you get the bonus $150 for buying an extra lens !
          Now that's unheard of !

        • @Orpheus:

          ^ This!

With $600 AFTER cashback, I would rather go for the Sony A6000 with 16-50mm lens for little bit over $700, after 5% off coupon & 10% discount of the lens.

        • @AussieDaddy: I'm only interested in it with the extra 22mm lens (if I can find stock). If my calculations are right it makes it about 475 with all the discounts I've mentioned. That values the 22mm lens at about 150 or so which is about the cheapest I've seen it on ebay?

        • @YadaYadaYada: You sure you got your numbers right? How you get it down to $475, the extra 10% off is only for the lens itself, not the camera body.

        • @JetLi: I think so. I also will get the GST back with TRS in addition to the 5% and 10% lens discounts, and the 300 cashback from canon.

        • @YadaYadaYada: I'm getting around $60 more, but it's neither here or there.

        • @JetLi: Doh I have been using 700 instead of 750 in my calculations. I blame my lack of sleep!

        • @YadaYadaYada: haha, enjoy the camera mate.

        • @JetLi: It turns out it's actually 749 * .85 —> there is 15% off that price. Makes it even cheaper (around the 420 mark) if the camera house deal below doesn't pan out.

        • @YadaYadaYada: oh really? So you saying the $750 is the before 15% discount price?

        • @JetLi: Yep, sorry this is a bit late. The website is now showing the after 15% off price https://www.jbhifi.com.au/cameras/dslr/canon/canon-m3kisb-eo…

  • +4

Safe to say this is the deal of the year ! to whoever manage to get it !

    • Did you get it TADrake?

      • +1

        Yep.

        Got the EOS M3 + 22mm for $670
$300 cash back from Canon bringing it down to $370
Travelling next month so that's another 10-11% off the total price $60-70~

        $300 for EOS M3 + 22mm isn't too bad !
        :) :) :)

Edit: could of scored another 5% off with the lens if i bought it online but oh well !
