Discovered this on the Optus site when i was paying my bills. Basically free Optus sports subscriptions until 31/07/2017 if you subscribe before 15/01/17.

Check to see if you are elibilge using the link above. Amount should show $0 if you are eligible.

Make sure to cancel before 31/07/2017 to avoid any fees.

    its because they basically bought the rights to the EPL locked everyone out and forced them to become Optus customers and everyone just refused and looked for online alternatives instead

    now letting a load of free users join they can say "well look at our great subscriber growth in this period" figuring that enough people will forget to cancel so they will get money out of it

    Whats the new bit about this offer? As far as I knew, the EPL/Cricket has been free since "Optus Sport" started, (*for eligible customers)

    The data on these services is also unmetered. So along with offering the other unmetered services, helping to destroy net neutrality.

      These eligible customers used to be only on $85 or higher plans and optus sports is included in their plans free of charge.
      However, with this offer it has been extended to customers on lower price plans. Which usually costs $15/month if they wish to subscribe to Optus Sports.

        I have been on a $40 my plan plus since August and have had this free Optus sport.

          Yeah they reduced it when everyone was kicking off about the EPL deal.

    I have already bought a CA Live Pass subscription but upon linking my Optus pass it's extended my 365 days from today now. Does anyone know what will happen when I cancel my Optus sports subscription at the end of July. I imagine it will just pick back up from the paid for Live Pass and expire when that was supposed it.
