Up voting for the teddy. Tempted to get one and put it to sleep like Mr Bean

    • +3

This teddy looks nothing like the one in the video! -1

      • +13

That was 21 years ago !Obviously he's gotten older .

    • teddy is on stock notice ….. so none in stick technically

    • +3

Does this teddy come with complimentary asbestos fibres?

  • +1

I like the teddy too but I suspect it will take a long time to deliver?

    • It can take up to 40 business days for teddy to arrive with airmail. 3-4 weeks is the average time for my orders from GeekBuying.

      • +1

Was there a similar deal a little while back? Think I ordered one and forgot abt it and this deal has jotted my memory lol wonder if anyone received theirs…

        • +2

There was another teddy deal but not from GeekBuying.

        • @Clear:

Thank you! Looks like no one received theirs from that other store yet so might have to order one from this site :)

        • no mine hasn't arrived …. but they are soooo cheap it's worth the punt ….. probably safer than pokies.

        • @KupoHo:
Not sure where I ordered from, but I got mine last week from the deal.

        • @Clear:
Hey Clear, do you know if they include a straw for teddy to breath out from, for that long journey ??

        • +1

@Kangal: No sorry :( Pop down to Woolies and get a 100pk for a dollar ;)

        • That other deal was from GearBest. I ordered 3. Haven't got any yet.

        • +1

@noddyc43: To be fair it is Christmas time. It would be unrealistic to not expect delays.

    • mine took 6 weeks plus. Ridiculous even at that price from gearbest… but probably the same company ;-)

  • +3

It's rather different to the Officially Licensed version :-
    https://www.amazon.ca/TY-Original-Beanie-Bean-Teddy/dp/B005T…

    • +2

Much like the price being rather different also.

  • +4

Lol. That mr bean face though…

  • +7

Will this Teddy work on all LTE networks in Australia?

  • +3

why on earth did I just buy a Teddy

  • +2

Their customer service is appalling, gave me some stupid excuses, kept delaying the order without proper explanation. Worth waiting for deals from other Chinese sellers.

      • +17

Yes I did. Because I had a very unpleasant experience with them. And I thought other buyers should know more about their customer service and the time they take to "process" an order.

Ever dealt with them before? Or you are just bashing me for nothing? Am I not allowed to share my experience, Mr TA?

I have been a lurker for years and I have great respect for you because of your dedication to ozbargain as well as all the great deals you have shared, until today. It's an honour to have you to reply to my comment, but also disappointing at the same time to see an insensitive comment from you.

        • +1

The way customer complaints and other issues are handled have changed for OzBargain. Currently any issues are going directly to a manager instead of a customer service rep and so far everything has been good. I'm working on many other changes including how stock levels are being handled. This deal on the teddy is evidence of that as it was temporarily listed as out of stock until more stock was allocated.

        • -2

I have dealt with them a number of times and yet to have an issue, apart from delayed delivery which in fairness is to be expected. Why not contact the rep that posted the deal. He's very active on OzB. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help.

        • +2

@tightarse: Several other members also appear to be having ongoing issues with Geekbuying over the same kind of dispatch/shipping problems…I'd say it's caveat emptor.

        • @StewBalls: With the majority of them now resolved ;)

        • @Clear: yup looks like they are. WP, OZB . TA asking user to ask the Rep instead of asking here and you suggested a user that Rep is not here atm (atleast till Nov.) Every business has ups and downs, but they shd address issues rather than when users post here.Hope they get better or users stop using them.

        • +1

@Gaggy: I have always been transparent to the community and that post you linked explains why I'm here and not a Store Rep.

These changes are very recent and a work in progress. This will only work if people are willing to work with me, but it feels like you and others don't want them to change and just want to undo everything.

        • @Clear: Yes you are trying to be transparent, but you yourself have stated multiple times in the previous threads that you are not a Rep and just trying to help. So I dont understand your role in the company or if you are getting paid, else why would you bother? This has not happened for the first time with the seller. Why will users won't want them to change, but for seller, people believe in what they do and not in what you keep saying.
We want them to change as well which will benefit all. But I don't think anything happens without a user ranting all over here.

        • @Gaggy:

We want them to change as well which will benefit all. But I don't think anything happens without a user ranting all over here.

          There's a difference between:
          - User ranting after attempting to resolve the situaton.
          - Pitchforks out, with no attempt to try resolve the situation. (*there's a lot of these on OzB)

Looks like the neg voters was the first, but the attempt to work with the company was from a while ago. From what Clear has said, things have changed for the better and spicy tuna roll should try once more.

Exhibit A, how to work constructively with a rep
See we CAN be nice and point out the issues for reps to fix.

        • @Gaggy: When I say I'm not a rep I mean I'm not an actual employee and don't have an Employee or Store Rep tag. Previously I have received racist/offensive PMs from members who assumed I was an employee.

I met Gkb employees through an affiliate program and have since then became friends with current and former employees - that is where the association is coming from.

Up until recently I had no obligation to help anyone out. In an effort to improve, Gkb have asked that I officially help people by asking for order numbers and passing them onto management directly. Currently I'm getting all outstanding issues sorted and working with Gkb on ways to improve in the new year.

I do appreciate the feedback, but sometimes people can be really off-putting.

        • @cwongtech: Your link is for a post where Rep is asked for getting his website better. Is that a after sales service request? Lets compare similar issues and not how to make Reps happy.

If the user has tried contacting the company and no valid explanation was given or no reply, we can't say that user has not tried.

But I understand what you are trying to say. All I was surprised was few users saying contact Rep, when there is none and Clear was saying he was trying to help the community which is a bit absurd. Why would you do that if you don't have a personal interest.

I used to like SS as well but when other users had some issues and were not addressed properly, I stopped supporting them. Same with SE. They were pretty good for couple of years, but when they became big, orders were getting delayed with no communications.

        • @Clear: Thanks for clarifying and I glad you are getting some recognition from the company.

Nothing personal mate and I hope you will realise that I dont like to personally attack people and sorry to hear people sent to abusive PMs.
I stood up here for the user as I didn't like the way user was treated for making his complain. He has done as per the guidelines of OZB. So not sure why few people ranted to him no matter how big is their reputation.

Reps/Associates cant be Arrogant (Not saying you were) as they are representing a business and does not matter whether they are commenting for their own store deal or other. it can be seen conflict of interests and looking for favours when they are targeted themselves. Why will a user ask another user with issues to PM Rep and not say anything in the thread.

Hope user's issue is sorted and he is listened in a respectful manner.

        • +1

@Gaggy: Thank you. Customer service is my weak point. I'm hoping to have official GeekBuying Store Reps active again next year like they were prior to Q1 2015.

        • @Gaggy:

SE seems to be notorious for low prices, fast shipping (when stock is available), and no warranty support.
So I only buy products from them with a good manufacturers' warranty.

        • @cwongtech:

          Hi cwongtech

          • this happened just last month.
          • after the 2-7 days processing time, I asked them if my order has been shipped.
          • they said no because the phone was very popular and they were waiting for more stock from their warehouse which will arrive next week. (Which they didn't even bother to tell me until I asked?)
          • when I e-mailed them the following week, I was given the same exact answer, which was my phone order will only be in stock next week.
          • guess what happened next week? They changed the listing of the phone from in-stock to pre-sale. So conveniently, the rep replied that the phone is on pre-sale, will only be shipped after the pre-sale.

As a customer, how do you feel after been told "next week" after "next week" which never came? I even paid for DHL shipping too which kind of defeats the purpose if the processing time takes forever. And you will understand the real meaning of frustration after seeing all those one-sentence email replies from the reps. Happy that all these have been resolved via PayPal.

        • @spicy tuna roll:

And you will understand the real meaning of frustration after seeing all those one-sentence email replies from the reps.

Perhaps you could contact Clear with the relevant info to ensure this doesn't happen again to anyone else so they won't have to go through the pain you've experienced.
That's a better story now that you have all the details.
Hope you eventually got a phone from elsewhere instead!

        • @Clear: So you treat Ozbargain different to the rest of your customers….. nice NOT! So if you are vocal you get good service, if not rubbish? just trying to understand

        • @fefris: As I said above… not an employee. Since I post at OzBargain I will help those that ask.

    • I bought a redmi pro with them and is going strong.. Had initial troubles with late arrival of order though.

    • +1

I had a terrible experience with GB from their last Redmi Pro 3 (Kate) 'sale'. And I'm a previous customer.
      - weeks later, said they didn't have any Grey in stock, so would send me Gold (and tried to make it sound better than Grey), or cancel the order.
      - I said to cancel the order.
      - They said they could send me Grey in a week.
      - I said ok
      - When I ask what's going on a week or two later, they say they can send me Gold
      - I say cancel the order
      - They say they can send me Grey 'soon'
      - Cancel the order
      - We will cancel the order
      - How about we send you 'Gold' like you wanted
      - ??!%$$#!! ?????? Are these people on drugs?
      - Cancel the order! Refund me!
      - took another couple of exchanges for them to finally cancel and refund (last week).

GB are a joke. They advertise stock they don't have, and when it goes wrong with their forecasts and they can't buy in the stock quickly enough, the above happens. They take payment and then try and buy what you ordered. And try to switch your order to something else if at all possible.

No offence to Clear also, but he/she is backing a pretty bad company with low morals and really bad customer service. PandaWill and Vickmall are MUCH better. GB are as bad as GearBest.

  • how do you buy the bear? I can see an instock notice button only.

    • Same here

      • eh i give up, i'll try again tomorrow…save me some guys

        • +2

          Back in stock :)

        • @Clear: thanks, now I play the waiting game.

  • +2

No deal for me. This bear does not come with Band 28.

    • the teddy doesn't have band 28 and he's the bargain.

no band 28, but it has fast CPU and can't get data fast enough for the CPU ….. like a V8 on retreads …. got the engine but can't get traction….forgot, McDonalds has free wifi…..once you've had coverage in band 28, the rest is slumming it.

  • Any deals for Mi Max international 3gb 32gb Clear please?

  • Out of Stock ?

  • Teddy is temporarily out of stock. More stock is being allocated currently.

  • No spec. sheet on teddy?

  • Not the same seller, hence no neg vote, but I'm STILL waiting for mine from the GearBest deal. sigh

  • bought teddy for lols

  • +3

Is the Mr Bean teddy really a bargain? A month ago it was US $2.99
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/275804
These 'negotiated' bargains are a blight on OzBargain. Retailers are abusing the popularity of certain OzBargain posters to advertise on the site.

Seriously, if the the full price of US $3.99 is too much for you, is dropping the cost by $1 going to really change your mind?

  • Hey Clear, the REDMIPRO voucher seems to be adding $40 from $199.99 to $239.99. Also can you get any deal on Redmi Pro 64GB Grey?

    • The Redmi is already on sale so the coupon is returning it to full price and then applying the discount. I'll ask for the coupon to include grey.

  • Got one teddy for the couch and to throw around! Thanks OP! I used 'Registered Mail' for ease of convenience after reading the above with delays.
