Good news for people in QLD.

Hoyts movie vouchers and Gift Cards are accepted at any Australian Multiplex Cinema (AMC) as well as Hoyts box offices nationally.

AMC cinemas are located at: Stafford (QLD), Sunnybank (QLD), Redcliffe (QLD), Tweed Heads (NSW) and Frankston (VIC). Hoyts movie vouchers/gift Cards terms and conditions apply on redemption.

  • any idea how much the upgrade fee for 3d is

    • It's 2.50 if I'm not mistaken.

  • I wonder if it works on those "no free ticket" sessions, too.

  • +1

    Yes,it should. Use them before

  • ——WARNING——
The ticket i received expires on 13th of Oct 2010

    • yep someones had a dyslexic moment, but is that e-mail the voucher? because that email says: "You will receive your Jump On It Hoyts e-voucher(s) from the following email address: [email protected]."

  • dammit, wife just paid $17.50 to see a movie =(
anyway these vouchers are great because you supposedly recieve them within 24hours by email

  • Thanks I just ordered a stack.

  • does this apply to Vic?

    • +1

      Yep. Nation-wide.

      • ar, sweet. Very nice! +1 for me!

    • +3

I don't get it? How is $10 cheaper than $9.95?

      • +1

        bad maths means $9.95 > $10

    • +1

How is $10 cheaper than $9.95?

Also, if you're comparing like for like, they're $13 on your site.

    • +1

those $13 tickets cant be used after 5pm on a sat either

    • What you are comparing to is a different product. And what if you do get asked for student ID (as I always do).

    • Haha yea as everyone has said, your site is more expensive when comparing like for like.

Even if you were to argue that $10 + being able to use on Saturday after 5pm is more valuable, how about, just don't go at that time and $9.95 and $10 will end up being pretty much equal.

However.. thanks for that site. Never seen/heard of it before and it does seem like it may be useful in the future.

    • thanks for this site never heard of it before, but yeah it ain't cheaper.

    • +1

Crap this dude is so smart!
      Great math skillz right there!

    • +2

are you sure you are a student because you sure can't do maths properly

  • They have a refferal thing where they give $10 credit when your friend opens an occount and buys one. However, I am unable to work out how to use that credit for next ticket purchase. Does anyone know how to use that credit?

  • "Special promotion - Jump On It credits cannot be used"

  • can i used this ticket for new 3d like toy story or shrek? any day? any time?

    • Someone said it's $2.50 extra for 3D, and they can be used any time apart from Saturday after 5pm.

      • yea.just want to confirm if it applies to new big box movies.
        thanks..

  • How much does a normal ticket cost?

    • adults 17ish, student 15ish

      3d's about 19-20 dollars

      very… good deal! for 10bux.

  • I saw a sign at my Hoyts saying they're selling books of 10 Adult tickets for $100 (Canberra). Shame I just bought 10 for $100 + $8 P/H.

  • Great Deal…..just bought 10 tickets for under $100

  • +1

I wont say this is a good deal, nor will i neg it. But at my local event cinema, formerly known as birch carroll and coyle, all adult tickets are 9.95, permenantly. students are 7.50. Ths is at Australia Fair btw for anyone who doesnt know. :)

    • That is crazy, they must be competing with someone nearby? They seem to be $9.50 + $1

      Event Cinemas is almost always $16.50 + $1 for a regular ticket and up to $22.50 + $1 for a 3D Ticket.

      • Well..on Gold coast, its most likely due to the opening of cinemas at Robina, which is basically taking all customers from GC now. Aus Fair is almost dying, hence i think thats why they lowered the price

Oh, for the record, its only +3 dollars from 9.95 (adult) or 7.50 (student) if you want 3D

      • If you have an Entertainment Book or knows someone who has, you can purchase or ask them to purchase tickets to Event Cinemas/Village/Greater Union (Valid until June 2011) for $11 each + post. Postage is $1 for regular or $5 for registered, regardless of how many tickets you buy, so obviously you would buy as many as you need at once to save on postage. 3D movies at Event are $3 on top of the movie ticket. The tickets from Entertainment Book have no restrictions whatsoever!

  • http://www.jumponit.com/ this site is SOOOO SLOW… what is going on? reliable? = =" took me 10 mins to load up the first page…

    • Must be a heap of traffic. There were 20 sold yesterday when I submitted this deal, now there's like 2000.

  • I just bought but it's really slow. I got my email notifications 3 mins before my payment process screen disappear.

  • Has anyone got their e-tickets from Hoyts?

  • great find!

  • Site needs fixing. There no confirmation to purchase the ticket.
I was filling out the details and my little niece hit something and all of a sudden I brought alot more tickets then I needed.

  • When I bought. confirmation screen didnt show. I logged into my account and shows purchased tix under my account.

  • It happened to me as well. Luckily I only bought 2 extra which should be ok. Also, has anyone received the email from hoyts with the eticket as it says when you buy it? Not sure whether you need to personally go and exchange for ticket or can simply order the ticket online.

  • What I remember was you don't even have to click buy now to finalised the transaction. If someone hit enter it purchase the tickets automatically.

    update
I did speak to customer service and he said that I will get refunded.

  • +1

I am confused. It says to email [email protected] if you haven't received the evoucher from them. However, any email to [email protected] comes back with delivery failure. I am confused! Anybody know how it works? Do I need to get any email from hoyts or simply take the .pdf file from jumponit to hoyts to exchange for a ticket? I sent an email to jumponit yesterday and still no response as yet.

    • +1

Maybe try [email protected] (notice the "S" at the end). hoytsevouchers.com looks like it's a valid domain, whereas hoytsevoucher.com doesn't.

  • +1

Same here goblin5566!!! I tried to email & it bounces back! I have 2 seperate tax invoices for 5 tickets but when i log onto the website i have 8 pdf files avail to download! very strange … !! Anyone called jumponit?

  • I went to the FAQ section on the website and it says that you need to log in and then print off the voucher. I logged into my account and the e-vouchers were there for me to print. However, I have not yet printed the vouchers as I am currently not connected to a printer so I'm not sure whether their legit yet. But if you log into your account, they should be there. Please let me know otherwise!! ]
PS. I had the same problem too. I emailed that email and it bounced back.

  • having same problem and i wanted to use on tuesday(tomorrow! for shrek and toy story ) MEH!
    emailed and bounced back too.
    any ideas?

  • +1

Im starting to think this is one major scam.

[email protected], this email address doesn't work.

Is the pdf files attached to the email the tickets? What's with the special instructions?

  • the coupon looks more like "homemade" coupon by Jumponit. It doesnt look like a legitimate Hoyts coupon! The [email protected] bounces back on me too.

Anyone had a luck trying to bring the .pdf into the cinema??

  • Anyone gotten their ticket yet?

I haven't emailed support yet, but note that the correct email address appears to be [email protected] (notice the S at the end). hoytsevouchers.com exists, whereas hoytsevoucher.com does not.

    EDIT: Just received mine now.

  • +1

I called today and no one picks up the phone. Now they have extended the deal for another day. It does seem a bit dodgy. Would love to hear if anybody had any success.

  • +1

Just called and talked to their office number in Sydney. The guy said that Hoyts will email tickets to everyone who bought them this morning. According to him there was some sort of a mix up and that we should receive our tickets today. He also said that hoyts will email e-tickets and that the vouchers in our accounts can not be used as tickets.

    Fingers crossed!!!

  • +1

I just called the Hoyts head office. They confirmed with teh sales team that it's a promotion they are currently running. All you have to do is print off the PDF voucher that you get when you log in and exchange it at teh box office. If you get rejected at the box office, then call their head office number: 02 8071 6100 and they'll sort it out!!

In regard the the Hoyts support email, they'll investigate as to why it's not working.

  • thanks guys for chasing it up. This does give a lot more confidence.

  • Too bad, I have already call my bank to cancel my credit card, and dispute this transaction.
From my point of view, they promise to give me the ticket in 24-hour, it been 24-hour, but they haven't deliver the goods, so is not as they promised it.

I try to call them, no one pick up. Email bounce. Submit question to their support, no answer.

Btw, sorry for any grammar and spelling mistake.

    Cheer.

    • Make sure your bank dont charge you if they found the transaction to be valid.. because it is valid (ie. you approved it).

Just be aware, it may not be as simple as you thought.

      • Thank You so much for your advice.

Yes I told my bank that I am approving the transaction, but haven't receive the goods in 24-hours as promised. So I want to cancel my purchase and asking for refund, but can not get in touch with the company (Try the website and calling, no result), that why I'm rising the dispute.

I just got an email from [email protected] with link to print out the ticket vouchers, but reply to them saying I don't want the ticket anymore, and asking for refund. They ask me to contact Jump On It.

I try calling Jump On It by phone again couple of time and from their website, still no result. Until suddenly someone call me back saying from Jump On It tell me that they got miss call from my number, and I told him I want refund. He said, okay, he refund the money to me, so I should get it tomorrow.

So I going to check my bank account again tomorrow, if the refund is in, then I cancel my dispute. But if not, then I keep the dispute, and try contacting the Jump On It again tomorrow (Will be many unanswered phone call again tomorrow T_T )

  • just received an email from [email protected] with the link to print out the ticket vouchers. just printed them all and looks legit to me.

    • Same here… All looks good.

  • damnit where's mine ! i wanna use them today!

Don't waste cheap tickets on cheap-ass Tuesday!!

      • but cheapass tuesday doesnt apply for all movies right? i check online today, shrek/toy story was NFT and 17.50 for student?

        • were you looking at 3D sessions?

          • @tomsco: yeap 3d versions… so doesnt matter on tuesday right?

  • Yep got my voucher too!

  • Does anybody know if this can be used to buy tickets for friday session if the movie is released on thursday?
I want to use it to buy inception but on hoyts site it says that on friday its a 'No free ticket' sessions. Not sure if this one will still be valid.

  • yea got one out of 10 voucher..NFT means for new movies right?? does it apply? and xtremescreen 3d too?

i got one voucher..and i clicked print (but i dont have a printer, i thought it would saved to my desktop then i can print but no ). now i go back to the voucher and says it has been printed ) now i click print again ntg happens.
    HELP?
i can see the super save picture and all, but i think there is 2 sides of the voucher to be printed?

    • I had the same problem – clicked on the link, which brought up an uninformative print dialogue, clicked "preview" just to make sure I had my two tickets instead of just one, closed the preview, and suddenly I couldn't see the tickets any more nor bring them up again.

I hope Hoyts won't be too long in replying to my customer support request, as this must be a very common occurrence with their unforgiving ticket download system.

      • hope so.
do let me know if u get any news.i've emailed them too

    • Please ensure you have access to a printer and it is set correctly to print A4 from your computer, as once the print command is sent, the ticket print capability is negated, preventing further reprint opportunities)

      ARGH! DAMNIT didnt see this

      • did you manage to get this resolved? we've got the same issues and we are not getting any response from Hoyts. This JumpOnIt deal isn't very good with all the pain

        • I got it resolved. I emailed them and they sent be a .pdf of the voucher the next day. Agreed. This deal was very painful.

        • still waiting on pdf or even a reply + 9 other vouchers.damnit

    • I didn't have a printer attached either, but I have CutePDF installed (which is a "printer" that actually creates a PDF file). I "printed" the ticket to a PDF file to bypass the limitation and save it into a file that I could print later :P

  • Similar thing happened to me this mornig. I emailed hoyts and they said that they will email me a .pdf. Still waiting on that. Not sure why they made it so secure considering each voucher has a unique bar code. So, you cant use it anyways.

  • I received all the outstanding vouchers this morning. They also sent me a .pdf of the ones I wasn't able to print. Now the final step to redeem them for tickets.

  • I bought a ticket and my mum bought one about 10 minutes after me. I got mine yesterday morning, but my mum hasn't gotten hers yet? Should she email them or are they being slow with some of them?

    • I ordered some at similar times and one came a long after the other

  • just got mine and printed out

  • +2

I'm leaving a negative mainly because,

    • JumpOnIt double charged me, rung them up and someone took details and said would return phone call. No phone call returned yet since yesterday and I tried ringing them today, nobody answering the phones and there is no messaging service for me to leave a message.

    • Hoyts e-Voucher system, previewed and then no possible way to print it thereafter. Contacted Hoyts, still have not received vouchers.

It's a lot of effort and inconvenience, these JumpOnIt guys must up their game or I'll be afraid to do business with them again.

  • so do the tickets from [email protected] look like normal hoyts tickets?

i went to print to a printer that was out of order and now can't reprint. I've emailed them, hopefully will get an answer soon!

Also i've only received one email, when i purchased two tickets!

I called jump on it a number of times and the number rang out everytime!

    Terrible and dodgy service!!!

  • I called jumponit & they saw my missed call & called me back!! So i guess they are trying to rectify the situation. The guy said the one voucher it to be used each time u go as it is preprogrammed for the no of tix u have purchased. Not sure sounds strange. I can't print my voucher & only received one when i paid for 8. So emailed hoyts & now waiting for a response. I must say this has been structured pretty badly.. and its prb not worth it since i could have got an actual disc tix for $11 at work …

  • haven fixed mine ( printer stuff ) + 9 other vouchers!

    • Same issue… hoping they reply..

  • Just received an email from JumpOnIt, guess those that have yet to receive the e-vouch will need to send the support team a note!

"If you have not yet received your e-voucher or you have any other questions please contact [email protected]. Hoyts have assured us that all e-vouchers have been sent but if you have any questions please send an email to [email protected]"

    • i received the same email

have now emailed [email protected] about my missing ticket and non-printable other ticket.

  • Exchanged the vouchers for tickets today and it all worked. I used it for a new movie in its first week as well.
I definetely wouldn't participate in this promo again given the hassle to save couple of dollars.

  • I used the support button on the website after i pressed print and cancelled and asked them to reset my tickets so I can print them again and they did reset it in about 1 day so I printed them off :) hope that helps people!

  • Just received a PDF from Hoyts Support with my voucher for 2 tickets, so problem solved.

  • still waiting!

  • Did anyone else have problem with the printed tickets not be recognised at the cinema?

  • LOL, I just got a second email with my eVoucher from a while ago ("Dear Daniel, Congratulations and thanks for purchasing your Jump On It Hoyts e-voucher. " blahblahblah etc). Except it came from "[email protected]" from an IP in India, and linked to an internal IP address (so the link didn't work). :P
