  • Only available to those without a Gold subscription (does not matter if you've had one in the past).
  • When the subscription is cancelled, it does not end immediately. The subscription ends at the end of the 1-month.

    I think this must be the same $1 for 1 month deal as last time - once you've claimed it once you can't claim it a 2nd time (not showing for me for that reason).

        Strange, because current xBox Gold Live members are specifically excluded. Didn't work for me, but I'm still a member until my subscription ends.

    The other day I finished my 14 day trial Xbox Live Gold that came with my bundle, I got a in dash message (only available in dash) the next day and got offered a free 1st month subscription which I accepted.
    I cannot turn off the auto renew and maybe remove my payment as it will void the free month.

    After 1 month it will charge $10.95 a month, this is expensive.

    I am going to cancel this just before the month is over. (I already have some codes I have bought cheaper to redeem).

    I am not sure if this is the same deal as this.

      thanks mate was just going to ask about this….my 14 day trial should be up in about a week, I reckon ill get the prompt for the 30day free trial then.

      Not sure which is better if this is still available then, as this can be cancelled immediately but still last for 30days. Eventually i want to end up using the cheaper 12-month codes, did you get yours off cdkeys? Im looking for a deal around $50 (or less!) for the year

        The other day, I had the option 1 month free, 1 month for a $1, etc. Of course I picked free.
        This was an ongoing subscription so I will cancel just before the month ends.

        I got a 3 month key for under $17 from cdkeys, lucky this offer popped up, another month free. Myself not going to commit to a 12mth just yet, maybe I will get bored (so far not the case).
        Just check cdkeys regularly, the price changes every other day. it is <$17 at least once a week for the last 3 weeks I have looked. With the sales coming up maybe look then.

        In the black Friday sales 1 got two 1 month EA Access for $1.69 a month ea. Best $1.69 I have spent!

        UFC2, Battlefront, Battlefield4, Need for Speed etc. Battlefield 1 (10 hour trial). There is another post EA access <$30 a year. DO NOT BUY ANY of the games available in EA access, you are wasting money.
        So many games I have purchased in the (long) past I only play for 5 minutes or once, so this works out good for me.

      Also had to use fake USA address, got the same payment error, was trying to use Paypal.

      However worked fine with credit card payment. :) happy days

      i noticed that, it's because the link (not the ozbargain one, but the microsoft one) is taking you to the US store.

      I simply changed en-us to en-au in the URL and I was able to use my regular associated paypal account with my aussie address.

      "Games with Gold" games are only obtainable with a subscription of 1 month or more (trials like the 14-day are excluded).

      Despite this, it was possible to nab Xbox One games via the console, but I'm not too sure about now.

      As mentioned you can get the Xbox one games, because they need a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription to play.
      I am guessing you cannot get it because Xbox 360 games are permanent, if the xbox live gold expires, the games are still playable.

    I tried this today and it took me to the US store and asked for a profile address which had to be in the US.
    The payment had a problem and now Microsoft want me to contact them to sort it out.
