    ouch this phone

    960x540 at 5.5"

    1gb ram, 4gb nvram (!!!) and only android 4.2

    jaysus!

    • Yep, I think the free gift is worth more than the phone, and I'm not even talking about the memory card!

According to GSMArena, both SIM 1 and SIM 2 are 2G, which means this phone will be useless on Telstra network come 1 January 2017 and on Optus come 1 April 2017. OK on Voda until September 2017.

      • lol this phone is NOT 3g

        ridiculous

there's decent buying in china phones from $130 to $200, sure you may not get band 28 but at least you get 3g/4g

        • EDIT: Telstra closed its 2G network on 1 December this year.

that looks like a decent deal given its local stock

i had some sent from… gearbest? Coolicool? zapals? who the hell knows, saved $8 over this but it took ages to get here, i mean i died in the meantime it took so long.

    RIP

    Released: March 2014
    Internal Storage: 4gb
    2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
    3G bands HSDPA 900 / 2100
    Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)

Quick search. Don't think there were an official OS updates for 4.4.2 Kitkat or 5.0 Lollipop.
On whirlpool news they mentioned Telstra may turn of 3G as early as 2020.

For example the Redmi 4A @ $127.75 from this deal specs out way better for the same price.

  • I honestly think this deal shouldn't have been posted. Phone is far too old and anything less than a 720p screen at that price is pretty much automatically invalidated.

  • This phone is so old. It isnt going to work in Australia and if it does, there is only one 3g band and no all providers have it. Its ridiculously slow and overpriced.

    OMG,you call this a deal?…

  • Get a Redmi 4A for this price.

  • Just out of interest. A 4G and 3G_850/2100 dual sim 5" phone, for AU $48.59 shipped.

I'm waiting for a $10 off ebay code offered recently, so $39.
Maybe a carp phone? but cheap for what it offers I reckon.
