P&O Jewel 13 Jan 12 Night Cruise $656 Single. $584 Twin from Melbourne @ Cruise Agency

200

I'm reticent to post this because I don't like this cruise line. This is a good value if you have low standards, particularly if you are travelling solo. It visits the South Pacific. Also might appeal to a different set as it departs from Melbourne.

This is a good value if you have low standards,

you should work in marketing :)

What makes you think I don't? Lol

Yes, it's difficult to go back to P&O after being on a royal Caribbean ship, but yes, $899 is a great price for a single. Usually single fares are the same as paying two fares even thogh you'll eat half the food.

Whilst I haven't travelled alone on a cruise, many people do.

  • I think they are sold out of singles.

There us a chance you get free grog on this sailing.

  • P&O is a great cruise line and it's a hell of a lot more fun for young people than Royal Caribbean.. Ive sailed on both. I like the atmosphere on P&O much better

Having travelled with P&O, royal Caribbean and princess cruises more than 3 times each I don't get the P&O hate. They are great.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to our next P&O cruise in may from Brisbane.

  • Darn this is leaving in couple of days, I don't think I'll have enough time to apply for leave…

Worked on pacific sky 15 years back, was awesome fun.
This one looks like the old regal or crown princess. ship was a bit crud even back in mid 90s. Now that its moved down to Aus there will be plenty of young party types onboard. Plenty of opportunities to enjoy the comforts of young ladies (or men) depending on your tastes. :D :D :D

  • d'oh! - been telling the missus to sort out her passport for months :-(

  • P&O are fabulous.

Been on five cruises, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival and P&O … all are fantastic and I'd cruise again with any of them in a flash! :-)

    • Surely you find the food at Royal Caribbeans "Windjammer" far superior to P&O's "The Pantry"? The latter reminded me of a hospital cafeteria.

  • May sound silly but I have never been on a ship, what are the food prices like? How much would two adults need for a week?

    • +1

All food is included (even fine dining at a la carte restaurant). Only have to pay for the drinks (alcohol and soft drinks).

      • All food at the main restaurant and at the buffet is free. You pay through the nose for food at all the other restaurants and cafes. Drinks are nightclub prices throughout the boat and you can't take any with you (with the exception of a handful of softdrink cans).

P&O's signature is lots of screaming kids and drunken singles, be prepared to share the pools with them.

  • Showing as $656 single

Cruise agency says via email that the cruise is full.

  • Yes it was a great last minute price!
Unfortunately, all cabins are now sold, the cruise is full.
    Thanks.
