$10 Woolworths Credit for New Rewards Members

2460

Just saw this advert on Facebook. The promotion is valid for NEW WOOLWORTHS REWARDS MEMBERS ONLY. For existing members, I don't see why you can't sign up for a new account to get the $10 credit then dump it afterwards.

Sign up by going to given link and then clicking the top "click here" url to receive $10 shopping credit by Feb 11 2017. As people have commented, while the promotion is intended for Facebook users only, anyone appears to be able to sign up!

Valid for first 4500 signups so it may not last long, or til Feb 1 2017.

    • +1

  • Gots to wait for the credit though -

    • Good one.

  • +1

there was no mention of facebook in the sign up process

  • +5

It did not mention Facebook through the registration process at all.The title should be changed to:

  • +1

Sorry, we have experienced a technical error. Click here to complete the registration again.

Happens when I've tried to confirm my email. I've tried twice…

    • +1

It happened with me as well, login with your credential at woolworths online, and in 3-5 minutes you should receive a confirmation email.

    • i tried twice then received two comfirmation emails with two different card numbers.

      • Confirm with the latest email, and you would be ok.

        • if i confirm both will i get 2 x $10???

        • @Bargain Chaser:
Sorry, i wouldn't know that, will have to wait untill 11 feb 17 :D

        • @shaq1: waiting waiting and no confirmation email :(

        • @chocfrogs456: It should not take more than 5 minutes, Try registering with different email address.

        • @shaq1: i got the confirm your email one, then got the technical error. Then logged in online ok. But then no email after that :(

        • @chocfrogs456:
I had the same error, and it worked for me.
Last resort is you need to register with new email address.

        • @shaq1:
          1'st of feb*

  • So i signed up, how do i access this $10?

    • +4

From the sound it of it the credit will be loaded as Woolworths dollars on your account after a specific date and the $10 will come off a future shopping trip.

    • +4

$10 Woolworths Dollars will be added to your Woolworths Rewards account within 10 business days from End Date.

So after the 1st of Feb

  • +1

    Got it thanks

  • +1

Is there a min spend to use the credit ?

    • $10 I'd imagine.

      • That might explain why my card did nothing when I tried to use it on a $9 spend today.

  • +1

    On board thank you

    • +7
    • +2

62 is the golden number. If you hit 64 you will bring down their systems

    • +1

4500 is maximum signups available, so that would be the absolute limit. They are also going to send out a welcome pack with the new card in the mail, so the size of your mail box would also be a limiting factor as well as how many letter your postie can carry.

  • +1

    nice made 1000 accounts

this is how you survive in Sydney!

  • +2

Instead of printing the temporary card, you can scan the barcode using the Stocard app (using the phone's camera), their checkout scanners can scan the barcode from the phone's screen.

I use the app for most of my reward cards, though some barcodes are not compatible, as such as Boost Juice.

    • Thanks looks like a decent app. Does it work with flybuys card?

      • Yes

    • It's hit and miss for me using my phone at the self checkout - sometimes it just refuses scan the barcode!

      • i also use stocard, when it doesnt work its usually an issue on their end, older scanners etc. thats what the cashier's have explained at least.

        • +1

I just looked into it.. and it would seem the newer, less expensive scanners are laser scanners and it's these one that can't read from a phone screen.
The older CCD ones can read a phone screen.
Kinda seems counter-intuitive to push the laser scanners when it's evident that we will need to scan from our phones more often in the future.

        • @jdogg:

Samsung beep n go works 100% with old readers. check it out if you have a samsung phone.

        • @oswade:
Yes the old readers can read any smart phone screen no problem.. beep n go, stocard app etc. it doesn't matter.
It's the newer laser scanners that is impossible to read from any smartphone screen - samsung or otherwise.

        • @jdogg:

No its the other way around.

Also beep and go uses special technology (something to do with the led light on samsung phones) to get barcodes to work on all scanners. It's quite impressive actually.

I'm thinking this may well have a minimum spend. $30 would be about right for Woolworths

  • If you had the old everyday reward card, would you not be eligible for the credit?
Assume they cross ref your address and DOB?

    • From another.. matt also in perth, I'm curious of this aswell.. I used the signup method with my pre-existing email but everything validated fine it seems. I just used periods and @googlemail.com instead of @gmail.com

  • Now is saying an error occurred when trying to confirm email address via the acceptance email. Full??

  • +1

    Expired!

    The click here is gone

    • yeah fml :(

  • Signed up and validated yesterday, but no credit after shopping today, is there a minimum spend?

    • +2

Read deal description or deal link: receive $10 shopping credit by Feb 11 - 10 days after deal was supposed to end.

As deal is for credit (Woolies Dollars on EDR card), minimum spend to use $10 should be $10. Will be deducted at payment stage.

      • Cool thanks, I thought I have missed a step or something.

        • +1

          Just too eager😯

  • -1

When the points arrive, is it possible to get the $10 off in segments? E.g. shop 1 = $5, -$5 credit and shop 2 = $5, -$5credit. Or does the offer expire after the first use even if it is less than $10?

    • +2

You can only get multiples of $10 off from Woolworths dollars. The credit will stay there until you have a transaction of exactly $10 or over.

  • Am I looking in the right place… as I can't seem to find the 'Click Here' link? The 'Go To Deal' just takes you to the 'New Member Offer - Terms".

Has the offer now been fully redeemed (as others have commented) and the 'Click Here' link has therefore been removed?

  • Anyone received their card in the mail yet?

    • -5

You won't get a card in the mail. $10 Woolworths dollars will be credited to your account.

  • Anyone received their $10 credit yet?

Did it appear in your account or just get subtracted from your cart?

nvm- a rereading of the posting indicates that the credit appears by 11th Feb.

  • +1

I amstill waiting for my new card - they sure are taking their time

    • Same

  • +6

Just got my card today. Waiting for $10 to come!

    • Got my card today as well. Fingers crossed!

  • Nothing in the letter about 10 bucks

  • +2

Could they have trolled us? Gonna go test the card tomorrow to see if there are any $10 deductions: http://image.prntscr.com/image/54259dff7cf74b6fb162f4929cc45…

    • Log into your account. If you have a $10 credit it will show up on the first screen after the login. By the dates earlier in the thread it might be another few days before the credit turns up.

  • +2

Got my $10. It should show when you log in.

  • +1

Got my card yesterday, used it today and got $10 off. Treated myself to two punnet of raspberries at $4.50 each. Thanks for the deal.

  • Got my card today showing $10 off next order on line

    • Is there a minimum spend?

      • +1

        $10 exactly.

I've had credit on my card before and made a trasnaction of $10 exactly and gotten a free transaction out of it.

  • $10 off applied to me as well after scanning the card. Thanks OP.

  • -1

Can I scan both my cards in one transaction to get $20 off?

    • +2

      No

      One card per transaction.

When paying by flybuys dollars you can use multiple cards in the one transaction.

Woolworths dollars aren't as flexible as flybuys dollars.

  • $10 rewards credit didn't show when logging in to take a look, but came off on scanning the card for the first time.

  • -4

Thanks op 10/50 accounts work thanks for the recommendation.

  • +1

Yay! Got 10 dollars! Thanks OP!!!)

  • Card arrived in mail. Added EDR card to Woolies app - showed $10 credit to spend.

  • Got $10 fine :) Thanks OP!!!!!

  • Thanks a lot OP! "Bought" four of these for kids activities. God love OzB and its community :-)

  • Can it be used for opal 10 dollars off?

    • Yes you can.

  • Thanks OP, card arrived last week

  • I received my card last Monday and tried it today but didn't get the $10 off. Anyone on the same boat?

    • My bf n i got our cards and both with $10 in them.

      • Was there any indication that there would be $10 on the card or you only found out after trying it?

        • +1

You can log on to your Woolworths rewards account online and you should see $10 there for you to use.
