Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

      • Update: working fine now. Just updated to iOS15.1 and tried the same method and it worked. Not too sure what happened but somehow it works now.

  • What would be the cheapest ios device that works for this?

Cheers thanks. New to the thread and there was a lot of comments to get through completely missed it.

Trying to work out if my accounts have been busted, or 7eleven are having issues at their end - can't sign in, (or lock in before I tried signing out/in) and also can't even create a new account..

Anyone else? (trying on both android phone and ipad)

    • I can login

      • Weird, I've deleted and redownloaded the app, and regardless of whether I choose login or register, it hangs on logo, and then tells me "uh oh next work error"
Net is working fine, both cellular and WiFi

    • +1

I can’t get the login screen to load. Tried on wifi and 5G

      • Mine's working, on 4G (Belong) and also Wifi (TPG)
My remote choppers are also working, they're on wifi (TPG) + NordVPN

Phones used are listed below, all working [wifi (TPG) + NordVPN active on some]
        Xperia Z5C
        Xperia Z5
        Samsung A20
        Samsung S6 Edge +
        Nexus 6P

        Xperia 1 Mk 2 [4G (Belong) + wifi (TPG)]

        • @cwongtech: is it ok to use scrcpy to mirror phone (both are using NordVPN and not same network)?

    • +2

It’s dead for me as well. Possibly intentional if you’re the cynical type of person, as the last of the cheap prices in Melbourne disappear.

      • Can everyone list their devices + connection methods? (Telco / Service provider?)
        More information is always good

        Might be a DNS issue
Anyone tried to connect via a VPN?

        • S10 both wifi and Telstra 5G
          iPad wifi and voda 4G
          Wifi/net is Telstra cable

          • +1

@Tuttle: Can you try ping auth.7eleven.com.au from command prompt on a computer?

That's what powers the 7/11 page

            • @cwongtech: I’m not Tuttle but it pings fine for me on win10 through voda 4G.

        • iPhone and android via both Telstra retail 4G and voda 4G.

    • +1

Had issues on home wifi this morning (Telstra NBN) but worked with cellular (Boost/Telstra 4G). Hopefully just a DNS issue and gets sorted soon.

      • +1

Looks like it’s up again. I have logged in.

  • anyone having problems locking prices out-of-state?

    • Just locked in NSW from QLD no issues for me (using 3utools for IOS)

  • +2

Just got my iphone 5s ($59) and it was so easy to lock in.
Should have ordered one ages ago.
Shell around the corner is pushing 189.9 for 91

    • -7

Can I please have the quick steps to set up this?

      • +5

Its at there top of each page of this thread.

      • +1

The specific (and easiest) process is:

        • Have iPhone

        • iTunes etc on your computer

        • Connect phone give connection permissions

        • Browse to iFakelocation site above. Download whatever version you need and extract in full

        • Run iFakelocation.exe, refresh, select phone and enter location. Lock in.

        Done.

      • Make sure the screen of the iPhone is unlocked whilst using iFakeLocation.

  • +2

We're at the lowest point of the fuel cycle in NSW, this is just plain silly!

  • Anyone else having trouble locking in this morning?

My iPhone is stuck on "Finding our Best Local Price", after displaying the 5 closest stores.

    • +1

Have you tried changing fuel type and then back again?

      • +1

Solved! Thank you. Changed fuel, searched, changed fuel again to original and was able to lock.

        • +1

I've also found you can just click on the fuel you've already got selected and it'll work. In other words, as long as you use the drop-down and make a selection (even if already selected), it'll search

  • +8

Just got the alert for this… Not sure if it works…
    E10 99.9 11-Seven Research Research VIC 3095

    • Locked. Thanks.

    • +2

Locked and will use tonight, hope it's not a honeypot…

      • Why, how would they screw us?

        • +4

Ban the account for breaking ToS, it's happened before but that was for a 0.1 cent/L price error. Fortunately you can create new accounts easily these days (at one stage they required a drivers license number).

          • @sween64: Well, I used mine, saved $30, the attendant did a double-take when he saw the discount. Came home and promptly locked it in again. Pity hardly anyone else uses E10 amongst my group.

            • +1

              @lordra: I had a very similar experience.

  • Great price.
I've never put e10 in a car before. Would it be bad to put in a 2017 RAV4?

    • +1

      Check your users manual

  • +6

I’ll probably regret this, but I’ll offer to lock in for people until the price expires! :)

    • i'll DM you if i need one :)

    • +1

Dm you if you can thanks

    • -2

Please help if you can. I can’t DM, I just made an account for this lol

  • thank you

  • -2

dont look now but e10 is only 99.9 ! would normally never touch it but at around 50c less than 91 i will give it a go

  • Sorry to be a noob guys, but is there an easy way to fake my location with an iphone 12?

    • +4

You will see them under "Working Methods (Updated 14th July 2020)" for iOS

  • My 7-eleven App (IOS) currently unavailable - it says undergoing some maintenance ..

    • Same, pop-up appears within a few seconds and it blocks all functionality.

  • -2

They look like ladies feet. But everyone knows women make their boyfriends go out and fill the car.

  • -2

My 7 elevan app down now. Can I still using fuel lock with previous barcode print screen?

    • If you have the barcode from the "My 7-Eleven Card" saved then you can scan it at the service station. No guarantees it will work if the maintenance affects their POS as well. If you do fill up and miss out on a discount you can contact Customer Service and they will send you the difference in the form of a gift card.

      • But if you locked at 99c, could be a bit risky.

        • It work today I pay petrol for 99c

  • App back online but locks gone?

    • +1

      My lock remains.

      • Sorry, my mistake.

        • All good. Happy locking ^~^

  • +2

For android if you have LineageOS installed on your phone the mock location from the developer options works globally with any app and 7eleven app doesn't see that you've changed the location. I use my older phone that has it installed to lock my fuel

  • Anyone using samsung galaxy device, when login in how do you make it remember the credential for future login? i tried to help many guys here to lock fuel for them but it a bit nightmare to enter every time. Had about 5-10 accounts that I do actively.

    Thanks

    • +3

Use a password manager to manage all accounts and passwords, eg Bitwarden.

      • OK cool. Will have a look

        • +2

I will also suggest you try to use scrcpy
Scrcpy mirrors your Android device onto a connected computer, you don't need root, only USB Debugging (so Android Developer options) enabled.

Almost all devices I can do a successful copy and paste across from my connected computer to the mirrored phone
There's only been one phone that wouldn't do it (Samsung S8), not sure what blocked the copy and paste function but it should help as it effectively allows you to use your mouse and keyboard on your chopper phone.

Had about 5-10 accounts that I do actively.

Alternatively, force the people to create new accounts with simple/easy-to-type passwords or refuse to carry out locks for them.. you're using up your time to carry out their locks not the other way around.

That's one of the reasons why I don't actively lock fuel for anyone these days, takes too much of my own time because each lock costs you around 5 minutes

          • +1

@cwongtech: Thanks so much legend, since 7/11 app updated their new login thing where it take you to a new page its really annoying.

Yeh I done before asking ppl to change their password… Some are just ridiculous long and like a puzzle not sure who they hiding from? lol. One time I have like 20 active users. But normally I locked them with ipad and most are auto remembered the account so just two click for me. Which I don't mind at all. Just that if I use my phone it different story.

          • @cwongtech: scrcpy is just to control the device correct, you still need it rooted and magisk and stuff on Android to lock?

    • +1

      I use Roboform.
Happy to send you a referral if you like.

      • Are you paying for Roboform? I used to have it and then I accidentally updated and lost the version I had.

        • All of your passcards will still be intact though. Yes, I do pay for it.

Just installed the My7Eleven App using Windows Subsystem for Android on Windows 11"

    https://imgur.com/a/ipq48xT

You need to install Gapps using WSAGAScript. The app seems to crash when requesting location, still experimenting.

    • Thanks for the feedback. Last I heard, the Android sub-system is still in developmentbso not stable enough for day to day use.

      • +1

Yeah it's still in development, although in my experience it's pretty stable. I think the app receives invalid location data causing it to crash.

Its possible to install Magisk and obtain root, so I think with some experimenting it should be possible to set something up.

        • +1

Its possible to install Magisk and obtain root, so I think with some experimenting it should be possible to set something up.

Magisk as an App is just installed as an APK on any phone
Where the magic happens is Magisk Manager is then used to patch a boot.img
Then with a normal android phone, you'd need to replace the boot partition's boot.img in fastboot (not hard, you just do adb reboot bootloader, followed by fastboot flash boot magisk_patched_boot.img)
Requirement to do the above is unlock bootloader

Question is, are you able to replace or select a target boot image within the Windows subsystem for Android on Windows 11 before launching it?
Or maybe someone could then locate the boot.img in some windows directory (and therefore just skipping the "fastboot flash" process altogether?) and just directly replace it?

          • +2

@cwongtech: It's quite simple you can unpack the msixbundle and replace the kernel, system image, boot image, etc. That's how things are patched. There are projects which automate this to an extent: https://github.com/LSPosed/MagiskOnWSA

            • +1

              @Haxxa: Very very interesting!
The only roadblock I can see is:

              • Passing safetynet test (I wonder if the kdrag0n's safetynet fix 1.2.0 installed via Magisk Module can do that?) this can be either verified via the Magisk Module or a third party app from the Google Play (app) store

              • Presenting the location, which in the past Smali Patcher module was used (normally you'd do this with your rooted android, connected to a comp, and you run a program that generates the module for you to install in Magisk Mgr)
I know there's alternatives like Taichi module as well.

The app seems to crash when requesting location, still experimenting.

Please keep us updated on your progress, will be awesome to read up on!

  • Anyone having problems logging into the app tonight?

  • +1

    Yeah It's just stuck atm.
