This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

      I don't know mate. Maybe someone should like make a website or maybe a program that tracks the prices and collates it in one easy link for people to check when they want.

        Oh mate, that's pretty ambitious! You'd have to be a Master, not just any newbie master. You'd have to be at least a 131st generation Master.

        Highly unlikely it'll happen in our lifetime.

    I have a Special Unleaded U91 voucher at 111.7 but it expires at today at 17:13 AEDT. (i.e. about 70 min from now).

    well Majura Park Woollies U98 is $139.7 - Cant find anything cheaper for U98 (that includes the 4c discount)
    (crap whats Batemans Bay doing at $134.7 for U98, Nowra 137.9 and Moruya at 138.9)
    no need for me to use a 7-El price lock from when I travel… though I hope it doesn't change till I can get there this arvo after work.

    Eltham is currently 127.9

    slightly cheaper than the database price for North Eltham.

          Need to be jailbroken. Reddit can help you with that. Or use Nox on a PC, heaps of posts about that on this thread.

    Was looking for the lowest price for diesel and found Special Diesel at 7 Eleven for $133.9 @ Officer VIC.

    Oh thanks for that. I was browsing through the RACV prices watch website comparing each location for the lowest price but the site you mentioned is best.

    anyone having issues with Nox? mine is super slow and at times errors out. It used to work perfectly fine but from past 4-5 days its gone bad.

    Is anybody having problems with the online lock tool at http://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/ ? Had trouble locking in a price yesterday.

      What fuel type are you trying to lock in? Perhaps an error occurred and it didn't pick it up since it only error checks for a specific one (['ErrorType'] == 0).

      Are you still getting the error?

        Not sure - locked it in with mock locations instead. I'll give it another go when I fill up next and see if the error persists.

        OK, tried it last night and it works. Not sure what happened on Saturday to cause the error?

        Funny thing though, I had to log in and out for it to show my lock in the app.

    There are various solutions I've seen here to virtually visit 7-Eleven servos around Australia but one hasn't been addressed yet - non-jailbroken iPhone users.
    I can understand that installing/running Python scripts can be put in the too-hard basket for many. Same goes with setting up an Android emulator.
    Also you may be weary of putting your login details into someone else's website.
    Now all you need to do is trust a random OzBargainer's .exe (lol).

    Works on Windows. Please ask questions you may have in that thread.

    For those preferring to lock only within your state and are living in Victoria… Epping North (High St & Cooper) is at $120.7
    A rudimentary search suggests they are definitely amongst the cheapest if not THE cheapest.

      I figure default is unleaded being the most commonly used fuel. I am speaking as this being a 7/11 lock in post. I live way too far from Costco to be worthwhile as I imagine many do.

    Can someone please explain to me how to do this? If I try lock in an amount on the app, it says I need to top up to lock in?

          I leave my account topped up and pay with my card so I don't have to keep topping up all the time :)

            @shapers: Ah, so youre saying that once you have n amount there, you just leave it there, and then you dont need to top up each time. Silly me - now I get it :)

            2 more questions, if you could kindly answer:
            a) Is the fuel lock limited to state? Meaning, If I live in VIC, I cant get a lock from NSW?
            b) Out of curiosity, how do people "sell" their lock ins? They just give the buyer their login details?

              @Uncle Roger: I've only used it once, but from my experience:
              a) It is nationwide, you can lock in a price in VIC and use it in NSW
              b) Once you've locked it in, you are presented with a barcode that you can screenshot and send to someone

          I used my credit card to purchase a gift card in store and then topped up app with that.
          Saves having cc details on a third party app.

          Having the funds there all the time means able to lock in at anytime eg. straight away after filling up using a code. Or someone else can use in an emergency if need be.

          I have heard (maybe read on the gift card??? was a while ago) that there has to be some "movement" on the card value within a two year period or it "expires", so every now an then I do use the funds and then buy another gift card to top up the app with. Maybe this has change to three years with the new rules on gift card expiries.

          Have used VIC and QLD codes in NSW previously - no issues.

      You just lose your voucher. Credit will still be in your account.

    Hello, noob question.

    With the money loaded onto one's 7/11 fuel app (via 7/11 gift card purchased in store), how long does this credit last for i.e. does it have an expiry like 2 years from first top-up?

    Reason I ask is because I put money onto my 7/11 fuel app a while back and keep it there (pay with my credit card in store after filling fuel/redeeming voucher) to save the hassle of continuous top-ups.

      I would like to advise you that credit does not expire until used.

    Went to use my voucher and attendant said " sorry the server is down, i cant process it". Is there a way to manually claim back ?
