  • I thought gift cards are excluded from the CDARK discount.

    • +8

Gift card category is excluded, however these iTunes gift cards are in Electronics category. Tested and working:

Thanks OP. Got 4 iTunes gift cards. Good to use for Netflix and Stan.

    • how do you spend it on netflix?

      • +2

Download app on your iphone or ipad, try subscribing, it will deduct money from your iTunes account

        • Is there anything else you can pay for with these?

        • @heathy: dating sites, apple music, google music?, spotify, netflix, youtube red etc etc. I guess all apps that require subscription?

  • Confirming it worked for me. Thanks

  • Great deal, thanks.

  • can confirm, just bought 4x $30 iTunes gift cards for $82

  • +1

Cheers, was looking for an external HDD, $80 was too good to pass up on !

    • -1

      Now $99 :(

      • You have to add an item which is $1 or more and then apply the discount code for it to be $80

        • Duh :s How I read that was it was a further $20 off the $80.
Way past my bedtime I think!

    • Be aware that the spec doesn't say this HDD working on Mac OSX.

      • +1

        You can alway reformat them.

        • That is what I thought too. You can also install NTFS driver for Mac OSX but…
I am trapped with a turtle speed HDD with both NTFS or HFS :(
Has anyone encounted the same issue?

  • Thanks OP. I was meant to top up my itunes account soon :)

  • Confirmed gift cards purchase works as described.

    • Are they sent via email?

      • +1

No. Physical cards in the mail.

  • That was fun while it lasted….. 😂

    Sold out

    • Not yet (but for $3 more)…

      $100 card + $20 card OR 2x $50 cards + $20 card = $85 delivered ;)

    • Captain slow

    • $30 cards just restocked by the looks of it

  • No iTunes gift card lefts.

  • still got the $100+$20 gift cards at $85

  • No exisiting 15% discount on the $20 iTunes card before the $20 voucher code?

    • That's correct unfortunately, that's why it's $3 more than the first combo.

      Edit: $30 back in stock

  • $50 cards still available, three for $107.50 delivered. Use cashrewards too for extra ~$1.61 rebate.

Works out to 29.4% off after Cashrewards rebate. But 4x$30 cards has a slightly larger discount, only buy $50 cards if the $30 ones are sold out.

  • +1

Stock of $30 cards has been added, so more are available again now

  • $30 cards back again!

  • Good deal. Do people really still use iTunes?

    • +6

I use it to pay for Netflix

      • Wow didn't know You can do that

        • Only if you sign up via your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
          https://help.netflix.com/en/node/25099

Looks like you cant change to iTunes payment post sign up.

        • @ben1980: Yeah just close the account at the end of your paid up month and sign up again via iTunes.

    • Many schoolkids need apps and/or etextbooks for some subjects, in schools that mandate Ipads.

      • Do you have to buy Apple? or can you buy another brand?

        • Nope, school specifies Ipad, no other options available.

My other child went through the same school a few years ago, back then the requirement was a Dell laptop, which you were forced to rent from the school. If I remember correctly, it was ~$600 total over three years, and then you could buy it for $100 at the end of the three years (which we didn't, it was pretty clapped out by then). Couldn't supply your own laptop, because the school-supplied ones were pre-loaded with quite a few full software packages which the school got at a special price, but you wouldn't use them after graduating. School repaired the laptop for free, once within the three-year period.

        • @Russ: Interesting, they would cop a load from me about that

        • @TRENT86:

At least the Ipad isn't showing any visible wear-and-tear, so we could probably re-sell it after graduation if we wanted to. A lot smaller and lighter to carry, too. And comes with cloud backup, should it fail.

        • @Russ: Yeah fair enough I just think these days kids should be getting away from electronics not forcing it on them but then again they want our teachers to do less and less, soon we won't have teachers just a screen

        • @TRENT86:

I agree with you to an extent, but the way it is being used is to present the learning material, not do the teaching. The school's WiFi has blocked Facebook and all the other time-wasters. So the teacher is there more as a guide and assistant, which I think actually helps more than the old "copy down everything I write on the blackboard and read it tonight" method.

The school also has their own instant-messaging system, which can only be used to talk to teachers and other students. Also, the students know that it isn't private, so it's only used for proper collaborative schoolwork.

        • @TRENT86: I heard a worse one, kids in Brunswick (Melb) were told they had to buy a (wait for it) MS Surface Pro 4, which was around $2k!

        • @supabrudda: That's a joke! How about the Government supply all tech free of charge if they want kids to use it

    • Not sure why you think people wouldnt? You realise you can buy apps and not just music with the gift cards?

  • Question, what do people spend their itunes credit on?

    • +4

      Netflix

You can use an iTunes gift card to pay for Netflix if you first sign up for Netflix through an iTunes account on an Apple TV, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

      • I already do this with my Telstra credit hehe grandfathered into freedom plus, is there anything else I can do like this besides buying movies/shows because i already have that covered :p

    • netflix subscription for me

    • Your Netflix subscription ;)

    • iTunes 99c movie rentals (66c rentals) & Apple Music subscription

    • Occasional apps/games, and they are welcome gifts for kids.

    • Netflix and Apple Music! :)

    • Australian - Netflix and MLB TV
      US - Hulu

      • via US or AUS itunes credit?

        • Australian iTunes pays for Netflix and MLB TV and US iTunes pays for Hulu. 2 accounts, one for each country. US account also gets access to other apps that aren't available in the Australian store like Disneyworld for when we went there a couple of years ago and other places and services that I have used from time to time.
