      • @hamza23 Thanks for that info!

    • you have to add the promo code CATCH20

edit : sorry for some reason didn't the answer above

  • White is out of stock again :(

    • And it's back!

  • boots up in 10 seconds with McAfee/Office360 and the DellApps suite installed.
I think it's extremely fast all-round, it can handle multiple apps in a go without slowing down (doesn't need the 8GB upgrade imo).
the SSD makes it super fast, portable and silent (I can't tell it's on if I put an ear to it).

  • Probably pushing it here with this idea.

I know others have said that it does well enough with 1080P video out. But how would it handle with something like 4K video outputted to a 4K display. For example, 4K Netflix or video files on VLC to a TV?

Would it also be possible to dock it output it to 2 monitors, for the purpose of Office, web, etc.?

    • Intel HD Graphics 405 do support 4K, but weather the performance is acceptable or not, that might be challenging.

You can only connect 1 monitor via HDMI out of the box. You'll need to buy a docking station (something like Lenovo ThinkPad Basic USB 3.0 Dock or Toshiba dynadock U3.0 Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station) to connect to 2 external monitors.

I am planning to hook this laptop up to the dock on the computer desk, so I can do casual browsing and word processing. I will disconnect from the dock and connect to TV when I want to watch movies or streaming videos on TV.

When I go to checkout in ebay it says $399 and shows it as having the 20% off already.

How do you get it for $319.20?

    • +1

Use code CATCH20 to take a further 20% off ($319.20).

  • Would have grabbed this if it had a backlit keyboard! I can't work without that again. Anyone have any other suggestions with the current 20% discount?

  • White out of stock :(

Was sitting on the fence for too long :S

    • +1

white is back in stock again!

  • does this laptop have a keyboard backlight?

    • From previous comments it seems it doesn't.

    • +1

No it doesn't. I own one.

  • Is click and collect available at Woolworths or Big W? I cannot see the option.

  • When ordering thru the link provided, when I click on voucher and insert CATCH20 The error message comes

"This code can't be applied to some of your items"

So the price stays the same 399$ and not comes down by 20%.
    Any suggestions please
    Thanks .

Just tested it and it's working fine here.

Suggest you make sure you have selected PayPal and that you don't have anything else in your cart.

After adding to cart, go to checkout and the code should be entered in the "Enter code" section under "Add vouchers"

      • Thank you

  • Thanks op, I ordered one a few days ago. How much does Win10 take of the 128gb SSD? I'll probably take it out and swap it for a larger one. Has anyone found any good SSD deals?

  • if you are a velocity member don't forget to buy it via the velocity estore to earn 2 points per $, I think qantas does it too.

  • Dang - I bought the red because blue and white were both out of stock.
Now both are back in stock - but the red is already on its way.
Oh well, first world problems I guess.

  • This code can't be applied to some of your items.

    Seems like I missed out?

  • Any update on the shipping of these?

    • I ordered on the 7th Feb, "shipped from factory" 14th Feb.

  • Got a text today saying expected delivery tomorrow :), Postcode 2112 and ordered back on the 10/02.

    • I received mine today, bought on the 7th. Quite nice device, although a bit smaller than I had imagined. That's really just my own fault though. Keyboard feels nice and so does the touch pad. Screen however is a bit of disappointment. Pretty poor viewing angles, low brightness even at full and colours are dull even when looking at it straight on.

      • I usually have brightness at 35-45% (15-25% at night). Anything brighter than 45% is too bright for me.

I'm often amazed at how bright people set their monitors and phones.

  • Nooooo, missed out this time too. Would have been perfect for Uni.
