One of the unhealthiest products you can buy.

    • This is why it tastes so good… but I won't be eating it any more.

Edit: Someone beat me down below. Oh well, this deserves to be seen this high up.

      • Grew up with this rubbish and also gave it to my kids plenty of times. Since recently fully banned from being brought into the house.

Eating the product on the way home is hardly better.

      • Ingredient list has been on the back of the pack for a long time, doubt ya change much over the years.

    • luckily this site isnt called healthbargains.com.au

I thought Nutella has been recalled due to causes of cancer?

Nutella uses palm oil. I won't be purchasing it.

    AVOID CAUSES DEATH

but so too does driving cars, drinking alcohol, watching too much TV ..

    • As does being shot, blown up & plane crashes. Everything kills you nowadays.

  • 900g - almost 1KG
that's a lot of nuts for your morning toast.

    • +4

lot of nuts sugar and palm oil

      Fixed that for you.

    • Nutella is only 13% hazelnuts so that is 117grams of nuts per large jar.

      Not that much nuts.

It is 55% sugar so that is 495grams of sugar per large jar

The rest is mostly palm oil.

A two-tablespoon (37 gram) serving of Nutella contains 200 calories including:
    - 99 calories from 11 grams of fat (3.5g of which are saturated)
    - 80 calories from 21 grams of sugar

    No thank you.

    • Yah, but what FB has a 2-tablespoon serve?

      80:20 principal.

If you were actually healthy during the week, a treat of Nutella on the weekend would be fine.

How healthy are YOU during the week?

I didn't think it was possible for people to dislike Nutella… until now.

    • +1

Oh I like it but only on the rare occasion I have it as a treat. Which is why I won't buy any for the pantry, too much temptation. Sparingly is the watchword.

      • The issue is that a straight hazelnut chocolate block is far healthier and has twice the hazelnuts and much more chocolate.

        Why not eat that instead?

        • +4

Because life is boring if you can't eat what you feel like at the moment some of the time.

Say you are in a fete and this stall is doing nutella crepes. Would you carry around a bar of hazelnut chocolate just in case you need to substitute? That would be worse temptation, having that bar on your person all the time.

    • I'm not fussed with the 'unhealthy' aspect of a 'treat', but can't stand this stuff at all! Partly the texture. 😷 But each to their own! My vice is Redskins.

Haha, how many people are saying no to this while eating fast food or drinking a can of soft drink?

    • Lol..I will pay that.. eating fast food and diet soft drink. Everything in moderation eh.

  • +2

Yes, Nutella is terribly unhealthy. Full of sugar and fat. It's also delicious. Eat in moderation.
