USB Internet Radio + TV Player for $20.90 Delivered

34

Plug in this USB stick to a brandband-connected PC and you can tune in to the thousands of TV stations and radio stations which stream their content over the net.

It's plug & play… it automatically runs setup software to access free, legal TV and Radio streams from around the world.

EDIT: in discussion below, people believe there are cheaper ways to access internet radio and TV. I therefore suggest not pursuing this USB approach.

  • I can access all these without this USB thingy… What does it actually do?

    • Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing.

Looking at the specs tab, I think its just software on a USB stick… I wouldn't pay $20 for that. Would be easier to have the software stored on your HDD, and you have less luggage.

Internet Radio is Great but Internet TV has a long way to go - other than the ubiquitous 24-hours News channels there are very few good channels, many are often unreliable and some appear to be in a long program loop. Anyway, you don't really need a USB stick to access them, all you need is a broadband and some free software.

The following statement from their website kind of sums it up well:

Testing Note: We haven't actually verified the claims of "20,000" radio stations or "5,000" TV stations - the actual number probably is somewhat lower, and will depend on whether a given server is currently online, what you can access in the country you're using this device in, and also remember that just like real TV, quite a few of them will be mostly crap… BUT all you need is ONE good one, right? (This product does not help you to receive commercial TV or radio broadcasts you are not ordinarily entitled to stream online)

My advice: Save the $20.90 or use it to buy a 16Gb USB flash and store the free programs on it.

PainToad Marginal vote - if you go to the trouble of voting negative - eg sharing your wisdom about an issue with the deal, why not take a few seconds extra and give a bit of your reasoning. That helps everyone. Left up, but…

  • Try this www.pptv.com u can even play directly with the browser.

Even with blu-ray quality movies steam online.

    But remind u in Chinese.

  • this is a waste of money….

Read comment for PainToad. If you feel its important to vote negative, then its jus as important to give some details of your reason, waste of money can mean anything….

I think you're over doing it.

He said he believes its a waste of money - he is supporting what others have said regarding this being just a USB stick with software.

Once that has been said what else should people add?

  • mods, this is basically a scam product, most/all of the TV and radio stations can be accessed with free software.

Who cares who votes negative in situations like this.

And on another note, zazz is always ovepriced junk, the one time they had something worthy they were giving away those free coloured thingos for flower pots etc.

  • I'm sorry people don't think this is as useful as I do.

I travel a lot internationally, and the opportunity to carry a device which I can plug into any PC and access my preferred TV and radio stations simply is certainly worth $21.

Mods, please feel welcome to delete the offer, thanks.

In that case why not just install free software on your own SD card or USB stick?

    • What horzion said… you could get a $5 USB, download the software and save yourself $16 (depending on which USB).

    • +1

This is why its a scam, because you think the device is actually doing something, when you are actually buying an expensive 1GB usb stick.

This is in the same category as people selling open office on USB sticks on eBay.

      • Or even better, selling a download link for Open Office =D
One that people actually pay for XD

  • This is a flash drive. A flash drive with a list of TV/Radio stations you can stream from.

I guess with a little bit of work you can compile your own list, or spend $21 and have it done for you.

Keeping in mind the stations that come on this drive will be in other languages, poor quality, often offline, always offline. With so many, finding good ones may actually prove difficult.

  • See how much are they in China. Amazed really somebody will buy them.
