    "…
The promotion is linked to the USER ID to which the invitation is sent by eBay. Qualifying sellers must list using the USER ID at the top of the invitation.
    …"

i'm quite sure this is targeted, as i don't see it in my eBay profile page.

Not showing up for me :( Got it last time…

  • Used this last time and saved about 600.

  • Aaaaand missed out. Again.

  • Shows up for me on the account I've never used to sell anything.

  • +1

Made over $500 worth of sales in the past 4 days and I didnt get this email :/ Got the last one so still running from that but a top up would be nice!

Where is the 'accept offer' button in the link?

    • +6

      NO soup for you….

  • I remember last time it came up there was a ten day window to activate the offer but it was unclear whether the fee-free period was only for the same ten days or continued on with the items listed during the ten days.
    What was the outcome?

    • Recieved this offer last time.

Items listed during the time frame that qualify for the promo but with end date after the promo start date incur no fees.

      Hope that's helpful.

I've not tried relisting the unsold item but assume there'll be fees of it sells

      • Oh that's great.
But one thing: when I list I can choose all different time periods including "good till sold" . Is there any time limit imposed?

        • That's the one I'm not sure about.

        • @Bad Wolf:
Thanks. Yeah I actually contacted Ebay about this last time but they gave me totally incorrect info (said it was only valid during the ten day promotion and then would revert to full fees) Perhaps some others found out?

  • How do I get the target?

    • Open Google Maps.
      Type Target.
Follow directions to nearest Target Store.

Terrible dad joke. He didn't even say 'get to Target', he said 'get the Target', so it makes even less sense.

      • What a waste of time

        • I found it hilarious. So I appreciated the use of his time at your expense.

A bit too targeted to be named a bargain IMO

  • +3

I've just started selling (sold 2 and third is listed) and received this offer.
The missus had a clean out today so looks like I'll be throwing some gear up there.
    Great timing!

  • Here we go again, but this time don't have things to sell anymore

  • +4

    any bargains?

  • paid over $100 in FVF last month

    • WOWOWOW
      I paid $360.62

      • +1

One of last years invoices was just over $700 . I always feel ripped off though paying so much fees . They should have a $500 cap per month

        • +2

My invoice last year was $100000000

I think I win the competition

  • Hey guys is it possible for my friend to sell me something so I can pay via my cc to get frequent flyer points ?

I.e I am going to buy his iPad, is it better if he lists it on eBay and then I buy it? Instead of me going over to his house and pay him cash ?

    • I think there will be another fee on Paypal that your friend will have to pay to receive your payment?

      • Yea I just realised that 2.5% ! Sheeesh

  • I wonder if eBay still makes money with all these sales

  • +1

Just be careful: any item that doesn't sell and gets automatically relisted will NOT count. If your item sells during the initial listing period, you're fine. If it gets automatically relisted and then sells, you pay the full fees.

    • +1

Remove the checkbox option to automatically relist and ypu dont have a problem.

      • Can you verify this is actually correct? I got this offer last time. Have a bunch of items that have since auto re listed. Interested to know if they still get the final valuation fee waived if they sell.

        • Im saying remove the checkbox so they dont auto relist

        • -1

@cozmo: but if you don't auto relist then the listing end and didn't I read above that the offer ends if the listing ends?

    • Also if someone buys it then requests to cancel :(

  • +1

Again no offer… not sure why i never get any of these targeted offers (goes to corner of room and cries).

    • I don't either.

Best I can work out is they're trying to lure new sellers or idle ones.

I sell the occasional item and rarely get any offers apart from free listings.

  • Haven't sold anything for a year, have bought plenty of items. Did not receive offer :(

    • I used to sell years ago and stopped after PP taking money and eBay both taking out fees..and this was when the company was one and the same.

And I've gotten it a few times but never thought it as a bargain as I thought it was targeted all along.

  • I have been using my eBay account since 2003 and even had one prior, using PayPal from day 1

My feedback score is 565, I am a private buyer and seller (non business) with 100% feed back every year.

Not once have I ever received a targeted offer from eBay or PayPal

What am I doing wrong ?

    • +1

What am I doing wrong ?

I'm not sure why you haven't rceived one of the 10 free listings…..I've got two main accounts, similar age and feedback to you, and they were both ellagbale last round.

As for other targeted offers, I also get nothing. EBay doesn't reward regular customers, so if you have a history as a regular shopper you'll get jack 💩.

To prove this point I opened another account, bought nothing on it, and within 6 weeks I'd received a 20% everything code.

Bottom line is if you want targeted codes you need to be a new or highly irregular shopper…….ie, open multiple accounts.

      • Thanks now that makes perfect sense !

I did get the 10 free listings for free, so I'll probably list a couple things.

Thankyou Amazon for coming to Oz and forcing Ebay to tighten its arse. Ebay has become very competitive in the last 6 months.

  • Im ebay buyer not seller but got this offer, however, nothing to sell:(
