….And here I am using my legs like a sucker!

And here I am using my legs like a sucker!

My wife wanted to go on a trail walk, won't she be impressed when I jump in the car with my bandaged knee and tell her I didn't want to let her down… Not sure how she'll feel when she opens the boot to find my new wheelchair! Hope the brakes work well!

      • +3

Who cares about the wife I'll take you in if she relegates you to the dog house

    • +1

I can't tell from the pic; does it have a holder to take an umbrella or to hold up a bag of liquid potato chips?

  • +68

You've got to ask yourself, at this price, can I afford not to be disabled?

    • +13

I'm buying this just in case.

      • +4

I take it you ride a motorcycle?

    • +9

You just reminded me of a seinfeld episode

      • +17

Do you have something a little more…

        less expensive?

        • +9

I picked up one of their used ones out back. Not a scratch on it, it was owned by some lady who only used it to go from the bathroom to the kitchen and to feed her cat.

        • +11

I saw someone recently in a Melbourne suburb with a Virgin Australia wheelchair.

          Free ones at the Airport!

        • +1

          @GearUp:

who only used it to go from the bathroom to the kitchen and to feed her cat.

How did she get from bathroom to bed

        • +3

          @CandyMan:

She slept in her chair obviously

  • +63

    Maximum user weight: 130kg

That's going to rule out most of Ozbargain.

    • +6

Yeah. Will be interesting to see those 130+kg obese OzBargainers trying to lift a 18.5kg wheelchair. Huffing and puffing :D

      • +2

Why would they lift it? Unfold it right there and then and roll away to the register and roll on out..

        They see me rollin'

    • +22

I'm sure you can duct tape two together.

      One for each cheek.

      • +4

Will cable ties work? I got a heap in a tool kit I purchased on ozbargain.

    • +5

I blame the Hungry Jacks deals and phone being fine to redeem them

      • I rarely venture into Hungry Jacks, but I was shocked when I recently saw that a Grill Masters burger with small fries and Coke contains 6200kJ. That's over 70% of the energy an average adult needs for 24 HOURS. Upgrade to a large fries and Coke and you'd be looking at close to 100%, and I very much doubt people eating these limit themselves to one meal a day.

    • +1

That's going to rule out most of Ozbargain.

      Half of Australia.

    • +1

Maybe we can convert it to electric using our bulk stash of Eneloops

The week after sale on Coffins?

Save your 💰, grab an abandoned shopping trolley and just do this.

  • +7

Thanks OP, will need this after leg day!

  • +8

Not as good as the Cougar 9000, aka the Rolls Royce of wheelchairs. Still, this is a great buy and will make you feel like… you're almost glad to be handicapped.

    • Have u tried the commando 450… They use it for elephants

  • +1

With all those Pizza coupons and Nugget deals making it harder and harder for us OzBargainer's to walk, this is a miracle. Thanks tightarse!

    • +2

…all those pizza deals will change the username from "tightarse" to "tightfit" on these wheelchairs ; )

      • Or largearse

If you really need a wheelchair - try government programs. Or buy better ones second hand (starting at about this price in good condition - on Gumtree) .

I push a family member around in a Karma Ergo Lite (8kg, but only 100kg capacity) ($750 new on eBay, currently over $300 used on Gumtree). 10kg lighter matters when regularly lifting chair into boot. Rolls along very smoothly, well built, & folds easily. Provided (hired) free under some government program. Everyone is impressed with it.

Don't think I'd trust a wheelchair from Aldi. Let me park you here at the top of this steep hill😱

    • +6

Don't think I'd trust a wheelchair from Aldi.

Do you need to insert a coin to use it?

      • The wheels automatically lock when you leave the car park, will make it interesting when the person is rolling half way down

  • Best to buy it now and when you have to use it in 20 years time it will appear outrageously cheap (warranty expiry accepted).

  • Started laughing for some reason when I saw this on the front page.

  • +9

    A wheelie good deal.

    • +4

      That's all? C'mon you're pulling my leg!

      • +3

We could go round in circles on this but I just can't stand up for myself here

        • +4

With that remark, I guess you don't have a leg to stand on

        • +4

          C'mon guys…
          We are on a roll

        • +2

          Disable your account.

        • @montorola: Alright, now you're pushing it…

  • Why is it everytime I finish shopping at Aldi it reminds me of the South Park Episode Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes…

Anyhoo, can I strap a motor to this Wheelchair and how does it handle? lol

  • +2

Does it have a motor attachment?

  • +2

What advantages does this non motor vehicle have over say, a train, which I can also afford when I commit some insurance fraud?

  • +1

Great buy for Grant Hackett when he's had a bit too much to drink at the domestic airport

What a soft c*ck. Making his girlfriend push him when he's only got a cut on his knee.

    • -1

      Unfortunately that's not his girlfriend…
      But rather some random lady…
      Or a nurse lol.

      • +4

Or perhaps she's a deranged psychopath executing a nefarious plot to kidnap a wealthy quadriplegic whose facial paralysis causes him to smile even when in mortal danger!!

    • +2

Looks like it could be a severe case of carpet burn. That shit hurts!

    • He should have worn those onezee sleeping bags

    • Look at his sinister face though

    • Equality

    • Give him a break, he's just shagged… You would be too if that was your girlfriend

  • -3

    April Fools'?

  • +1

This would be ironic if a para/quadriplegic lost their movement because of getting their spine crushed in a rush for a bargain at Aldi

    • +2

Alanis Morisette is firing up to write another verse…

  • +1

Ive always hated walking when doing shopping well now the girlfriend can push me

  • What's the usual price?

  • Best to buy this now, it will go up in price when you need it.

  • +1

    Thanks 0p
Bought All at my local store…
    These make wonderful gifts…

    • Stocking fillers!

  • +1

Will need one of these after leg days.

  • The people with special needs should not pay for that.

  • Well , What if i want to buy it and donate it to some one who is in need to ?? Any ideas who should i donate to?? Thanks

    • +3

      Money is better.

  • Good way to pickup ladies?

  • +13

  • Perfect for most of the cars with a disabled parking permitted in the city.

    • -1

With this and a pram in the back how do you fit in you shopping (guess you make space by removing your conscience).

  • +1

If I straped in 4 Mavic pro drones on this bad boy, would I fly?

    • +3

Only if the drone was purchased from ozbargain, with 3% cashback, powered by eneloops purchased from Dick Smith before they were pillaged by the regulars here before it was rebadged by Kogan.

      • holy mother of all that is ozb

  • is there a dashcam mount?

  • -1

A good prop if you want to illegally park in a disabled spot.

    • You mean legally.

      • No sam, I mean park illegally but appear legal.

        • Without a permit it will still cost you money and a demerit point.

        • If it appears legal, then it is legal.
