    Wow, just when I thought they couldn't get any tackier (advertising so much and jacking course fees to cover it, letting students with appalling accounting knowledge in and passing them). I'm not a CA dumping on them, I'm a CPA with 7+ years PQE in a senior commercial accounting role.

    Appreciate the OP's effort, but any budding accounting students out there - don't rush into it just because of this promo. For most people work pays for this sort of thing anyway.

        The ACS equivalent in the accounting world. We all know ACS have done SFA for us other than doing those migration assessments to screw us all over.

      Have to agree with you, I also have 7 years PQE in a Senior Public Practice accounting role. I have found that since Alex Malley and co have taken over, the focus has been on building his own personal brand, to the detriment of focusing on far more important issues such as tax reform, advancing members interests etc. I have no idea how a billboard in NYC promoting the 'Naked CEO' helps the general membership and advances our cause. The lack of transparency regarding board and senior management remuneration is another concern. There is a growing desire for change within the rank and file members, I urge any current CPA members to have a look at this website for further information. http://cpamembers.org/index.php

        I thought the law soc was bad enough (same issues - re: Can't speak english? Does not matter - become a solicitor and do court work today!), and thought the aim was that if you let anyone join this increase the fees which in turn increases management remuneration, but this is the cherry on top - a personal branding campaign for the CEO - nice if you can get it.

    I studied "Business Ethics and the Law" in my undergrad and it is now asking me to enrol in "CPA Program Ethics & Governance fee 2017 Sem 2 $1070.00" I also studied financial ethics in my Masters program, so find this somehow… Unethical? :P

        It was midnight (00:00) on Sunday, not midnight as in (23:59)…
