Called a few Big W stores late this afternoon looking for stock of the iPad Air 2 at $399, and was told I wouldn't find one anywhere. But, the gentleman at Box Hill told me they had the iPad Mini 2 16GB at the incredible price of $149. Was going to make my way there but just too far. So I called them back around 6:15pm as I thought I should post this on OzB and they confirmed there was still 12 in stock! If price shows at full retail, ask them to scan the iPad. Call (03) 8347 5800 and ask for Home Entertainment to confirm. Good luck, and be nice to each other in the store lol. If you score one, please say so in the comments. Enjoy :)

Mod 27/4 9:40pm: Out of stock at Box Hill VIC, the only other apparent locations with stock are Big W Hallett Cove SA (6 left - store now closed) and Mt Gravatt Garden City QLD (10+ left - store now closed). Please check comments before calling your local store (fair chance someone has already called and been informed there is no stock).

      If it helps any, I called 7 stores before posting and found stock only at Box Hill, although 2 others said they had a few and sold out 2 days ago. Also, a lot of stores have the 32GB version, but it's over $300.

      In queue with 20 other people. Good lord !!

      Edit: staff member said there were over 30 people lined up outside even before the store was opened and sold 40+ in less than 20 odd minutes. Limit 1 per person. All these big managers/bosses came down and started making phone calls and asked some of the people who were in the queue as to how they found out about this pricing. There was only one word "ozbargain"

    Just a heads up. The new Apple iPad is a great price and runs just as well (if not faster ) than the iPad Air 2. If you have access to student card jbhifi will match Apple educational pricing. Absolutely love mine
