    Do they post?

    • The food or the Scoopon?

Isn't the Scoopon just an email/printout?

      • +1

I can download the Scoopon but I cannot download juicy carved meats now can I.

  • Do I need to be a member of the blacktown works club to be able to enter or anything like that?

edit: Non-members within a 5km radius of club must become a member or be signed in by a member to attend. 1 year memberships can be purchased for $13.20.

    • For those > 5km i guess just an ID needed (no membership or any entry fee)

If only I could neg this.
This all you can eat is absolute trash.
Quality is poor as all f**k, the taste is just blah and boring, not much flavour in it, it's just matter being eaten.
    I wouldn't pay $1 for this food.

    • If only I could neg this.

      What's stopping you?

        The Rules
Your negative votes have been revoked 3 times over the last 90 days, and you are not able to vote negative until 06 July at 09:08.

        • That's a shame.

    • I've been a few times. The food was absolutely fine, nothing great, but not terrible either. You have to be selective about what you eat though. The only unpleasantry was seeing a guy throwing up in the bathroom due to overeating. There's always one in every buffet!

'Non-members within a 5km radius of club must become a member or be signed in by a member…'

Weirdorama. So the joint penalises/discriminates against peeps if they live closeby? Am I missing something, or is that correct?

    • It's an all you can eat restaurant within a Workers club (similar rules to a RSL or Leagues club) that's why the 5km radius rule.

I still don't understand it. Are they worried that peeps living within 5 km might start rocking up every day for hours on end, maybe pitching a lap-top and working and/or studying at one of their tables, and 'eating all they can' throughout the day? Those with a mind to do that would simply pay the '1 year membership that can be purchased for $13.20', surely?

It just seems bizarre/counter-intuitive to have an official policy that overtly discriminates against locals.

Also, re your comment about RSLs, do any RSLs actually offer an 'all you can eat' deal' of any kind? I was not aware of that…

        • NSW Registered Clubs Act 1976 Section 30 (3B)

A person whose ordinary place of residence is in New South Wales and is within a radius of 5 kilometres from the premises of a registered club (in this subsection referred to as
"the host club" ) is not eligible for admission as a temporary member of the host club unless … (omitted)

          @alvian:
This has no relevance whatsoever to the posted deal. The 'Bungarribee International Buffet' is not a 'registered club'.

@GnarlyKnuckles: Which part of "Great location inside Blacktown Workers Club" don't you understand?

        • @alvian: Wow! Sometimes I'm amazed by how much our government micromanages.

  • You will probably have to eat the prawns with their shells on if you want to go back for seconds!

  • Is this BYO crabs?

  • you get what you pay for.
