    Anybody have experience with the 49" KD49X8000D? Last 2 opportunities I held back (I think it was $999 before)
    Couldn't find much on youtube with this model.

      I have both 43 and 49s.
      love them both, didnt require much calibration.
      excellent for gaming and sports.

      never got my voucher..

      I did complete the survey after the expiry, but it still allowed me to do it and told me I would get an email with the voucher at the end, but nope. Otherwise might have been tempted by the 43" to use as a PC monitor.

    OK…silly question, but can the 49inch be mounted on generic TV wall mounts? (we've just moved back from 5 years in a developing country and have no idea about whats happened with tech…lol)

      Yes, a standard VESA mount will work with this TV according to specifications. I bought a great wall mount from Selby Acoustics http://www.selby.com.au/, the OzBargainer's recommended wall mount store. This will cost you ~$20 shipped.

        Yeh received two emails aswell, first saying customer service will get in touch if anything extra required. Then second email was keep an eye out for dispatch email and invoice both same order numbers.. Fingers crossed hey..

        I just received the email saying they are unable to process. I escalated it to their store, customer support and FB msg before trying with their call centre (useless) and chat (not much help at all) Waiting for them to respond with a satisfactory response. Prob more ppl raise this issue with them, this is not right !!

    I got my Tv yesterday. Its 49 inch. Before I was worried reading about the reviews aboit black level.However, the TV IS GREAT. Black level is excellent and I dont even calibrate the tv. SO,whoever order the Tv, will be surprise with the quality and beauty of it.

      You're lucky! I took the day off work on Friday since DHL estimate deliver date was Friday but I got a card to say they tried to deliver it today.

      On hold with DHL right now to try and get them to redeliver in the afternoons when I'm home. Their tracking is pretty useless, it still shows 19/05 as the estimate delivery date

      I should be happy, some peoples orders were cancelled :(

      I agree got mine on Monday too, great TV but the interface is definitely laggy especially if you connect a dual-shock controller on it but is sufficient enough to watch youtube, netflix and cast so its not all bad

    Got my 49" this morning and took all day to set it up. What a PIA! Never had so much trouble getting a TV to work the way I want it :)

    It's a great TV but there's so many settings you have to just perfect or it won't work, mainly 4K 4:4:4.

    Here's a tip for everyone looking at getting a Sony Bravia. Only specific HDMI ports are HDCP2.2. I never realized it was a thing that stops 4:4:4. You can have the correct cable, correct settings on your receiver, correct settings on your PS4 Pro, but if you don't use the correct input (in my case HDMI2 or 3) then it won't work at 4:4:4. And even then you have to go into your TV settings and change it to 'enhanced'.

    I'm still having issues with my GTX1080, but I think it's flickering because I need a different cable (although it worked fine on my PS4 Pro).

    And I'm trying to get my head around ARC. I've got a Yamaha RX-V681 but it doesn't seem to want to use it when I'm playing from the builtin Android Smart TV.

    I'll work on these another day…
