[HACK] 2 Months Free Netflix ($27.96AUD Credited to Your Account), Then an Extra 4 Months for $28AUD - Credit Card Required

3740

This deal is only open to Singapore residents as per their T's & C's, but I thought I'd try it anyway to see what happens. It worked perfectly for me, I applied the two months free Netflix to my Australian Netflix account without a problem (because of SGD>AUD exchange rate, you'll get approximately $27.96AUD credited to your Netflix account)

NOTE: You will require a valid credit card for this deal, and it WILL be billed after two months unless you cancel on their website prior to two months elapsing. They may do a $1 authorisation on your card to prove it's real. This amount gets refunded to your account within a few days by your bank.

Mod: The instructions to obtain the deal have been removed and the deal marked as expired due to a takedown request from LiveUp.

Merchant Take-Down Requests

To immediately cancel your subscription so you don't get billed after two months:

1. Top right of the Lazada.sg website, click your name, then click "Welcome to LiveUp"
2. Click the "Cancel Membership" button… then click "Yes, Cancel".

Or… wait two months, your credit card will be billed $28, then you'll get an extra four months Netflix.

    • Did you add the LiveUp trial to your cart and submit credit card details?

      • turns out they were just slow to email hahaha just got it just now

  • How can I get the Netflix credit? I did manage to create a new account.

    • +1

It's automatically added if you follow through using the Netflix link in the email LiveUp should've sent you.

      • yes can confirm it automatically gets added if you follow through using the Netflix link as mentioned by tastycheeks.

Not interested in being flagged for breaking T&C of a service to save $28 (!) but interested to see how this pans out… ;)

    Thanks OP. Nice hack.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Great effort and nice one!

  • +1

    Worked for me, Thanks OP.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Although I only got 23.98, but hey, that's a free $24 so thank you :D

    • I got the same amount :)

  • +3

Does this work on existing Netflix accounts?

    • Yes it does

      • It would have worked for me but I bill my google play store account via Telstra billing. :( it says that the credit can't be added due to my payment method

        • How do i redeem 24$ ?

        • does this still work with telstra billing? i was going to do that eat the end of this month as this was the last of the old optus netflix deal i had left.

        • @theDarKnight: it wasn't possible for me. I tried adding it to an inactive, old account I had and it worked but brought it back to life. I had hoped it wouldn't have but o well

  • Out of curiosity, are there many ozbargainers here keeping their subscription for that extra 4 months of netflix?

    • +1

      zero

      ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )

    • +8

I probably will, it's around half-price off the next 4 months.

Will probably cancel after that though.

      • How do you keep it, do you just keep the subscription on Lazada.sg?

    • i will be. $7 a month is peanuts

  • +4

Can i do it twice with different cards and added both to the same netflix account?

    • +1

      Let us know

    • +2

EDIT: I stand corrected. It works. Took a while to update.
I just did that and was unsuccessful. The Netflix gift credit still only shows as $23.98.

      • Tried a new Netflix account?

        • +1

No. I just tried the "Unlock Netflix Subscription" link again for the same Netflix account. After a few refreshes the value updated to $47.96.

        • @IngenuityDenied: How does the credit value work? Does that mean because you have $47.96, you now get 4 months in total?

        • @tastycheeks:
It should do. That's how the optus credit worked.

      • Log out and clear history

  • +2

Added $23.98 to my Netflix account! Great post!

  • +1

    Cheers OP

  • +1

Thanks OP - used my Clear Advantage card and worked like a charm

  • +1

Well this was reason enough to reactivate our Netflix account after a 3mth hiatus. Worked first go with my Macquarie card.

    Cheers OP!!

    • +2

Yes great timing with new and final season of Bloodline as well as new seasons of Orange, House, Last Kingdom and more

  • +2

If you have [HACK] in the title, then what's the point of linking to the T&Cs?

    • +1

The T's and C's have information about the length of the trial period and the price of the discounted membership.

  • I tried 2 times with different cards (both NAB visa debit cards). Everytime it said "Error - Payment not completed", but my card got charged $0.98 each time.
I am down $1.96 and no credit. Hope I get refunded for these transactions :-(

    • Try a different address.

  • +3

Just worked for me coles mastercard

    • My coles mastercard didn't work.

  • +1

I'm not sure the issue with payment failing is due to the type of card, probably due to the address you put in. In any case, just worked with a CBA Mastercard credit. Thanks OP!

    • Mine worked with CBA Master debit card however have now received email for activating subscription. It mentions it may take 24 hrs

  • Got $23.98 with Westpac Mastercard :).

  • Great deal OP! However i dont use netflix enoufh to reactivate it. I only get it for OITNB but the new season comes out in 2 days on foxtel anyways

  • For those that went through did you use real names when processing?

    • +6

      Nope.

      Mr. Bargain Broden Eneloop Jr

    • Had to put real name down for the CC entry

  • More shiok savings

  • +1

Thanks :) Worked flawlessly. Used CBA Master debit

Used a random computer shop in SG, using their postcode and business number

  • +1

Got 27.96 with Citibank Debit Visa!

  • +1

Been trying, kept getting Payment not completed, my credit card got charged 0.98 cent multiple times…

  • $28 for 4 month sounds alright. How much is it normally?

  • +1

Anyone tried doing this several times by creating multiple accounts with different credit cards?

  • +2

    Worked for me. Bankwest.

  • +1

Tsk tsk. Seems to me that this is a bit naughty.

I agree with jv. In my book, this isn't a bargain.

  • Feel very naughty after doing this haha. Should i use multiple cards now… hmm…

  • +2

I have a feeling they're going to revoke all credit.

  • +1

Can confirm this works with as many credit/debit cards as you own. I've done 2 cards with two different email addresses, but same Netflix account.

    Proof: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/137916/49545/netflix.p…

I'll buy a pre-paid card tomorrow and try again.

EDIT: Just for clarity sake - I used my ING debit VISA, and then my Coles MasterCard credit card for the second one.

    • Out of interest how do you check your Netflix balance?

      • +2

I'm getting these 'proofs' from my email, but the Netflix website's 'account' section > 'billing' also reflects the big credits.

  • +1

Can someone explain how the credit in your account works? Does the $27.96 aud equate to 2 months?

    • +2

Depends what plan you are on. If you pay $10/month then it will deduct $10 and you will be left with $17.96.

  • +1

The OP mentioned Au Netflix account. Will this work on a Brazilian account?

    • I have a Mexican account and yes it should work with any region.

    • I don't see why it wouldn't.

  • +2

+ve vote from me to annoy all the do-gooders.

  • +7

Here we go, all the geniuses are going to spam additional signups and stack credit and we'll all lose out. Can't you be satisfied with 2 months for nothing?

  • Stop refreshing.

your email can be seen on the next page

      • That's not my email. It's probably the email address of the person who claimed it.

(You gave me quite a scare there!)

    Half year Netflix sub sorted!
    if they honour it!:)

  • Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you check credit/account balance to confirm?

    • +1

Sign in to your account and click on "account" and it should show up there

  • so much effort to cheat for Netflix, what's wrong with Kodi?

    • so much effort to cheat for Netflix, what's wrong with Kodi?

Both are great, but each has pros and cons. I use both. And other sources.
Kodi addons can be frustrating at times. Netflix is more reliable, but less complete.

  • Is anyone else getting the error "Error
    Payment not completed."?

    • +1

      i got that!

3 x $1 SGD (3 attempts) got charged to my account but the payment failed. :(

      • Same, kept asking for cvv and saying not completed but charged my card each time..
        I'm -$8 now lol

        • change your postcode to something else.
that should resolve the error as someone might have used it.

        • @r0xz:
          Yeah that worked cheers.
