I have nothing else to buy at HN. Their prices suck so $50 cashback is not enough to entice me.

Fine print says it does, but as others have pointed out correctly, AMEX doesn't have any way of seeing what was purchased from HN, just that a purchase over that amount was made and so the credit gets applied.
For HN Amex offer, is it safer to buy/pay online and collect, or just go there and pay with Amex?

They were likely using a generic description for both types of iPads. Yours is not "Wi-Fi + Cellular" so you don't get mobile data service. It's not a lie. It does require Wi-Fi + Cellular, it's just that yours isn't that model. There was no need to include the line at all, but they were too lazy to keep two different versions.

yeah, pre-Air users will find this to be a nice upgrade. 422 for a current-gen iPad is great. Sure it's a small step backwards from an Air 2 but for the price you can't really go wrong with a 32GB Apple product.
For me it's a step up from an Air 2 because I don't care about a laminated screen.
