HP EliteBook 1040 G3 i7 14" 512GBSSD LTE/4G 8GB $1749 Delivered @ Microsoft eBay

60

One for the student or business person who wants a light (1.4kg) ultrabook with some processor power. This is apparently 50% off retail, and I did find the 256GB version on US HP site for US$1669. This one via Microsoft Ebay is the 512GB model. So you are getting a good deal here, including delivery. Includes ability to add sim and truly be on the road with LTE/4G capability. The 6th gen i7 will be plenty powerful for most business and student needs.

Added features:

  • privacy via Sure View screen (when at cafes etc)
  • CNC Aluminum chassis with diamond cut design
  • 11 hour battery life (reportedly)
  • Audio by Bang & Olufsen

Not valid code it says when I try to enter at checkout. Am I missing something here?

UPDATE: Seems that TREAT code is targeted offer.

        • +1

@swapsey: TREAT is a targeted discount code. Not valid for everyone so might not work for you.

Edit: Nevermind. Turns out you have figured it out yourself.

        • @Harshad: Thanks mate :-)

  • I found this review at TechRadar which might be helpful if you are considering this HP laptop.

    • Thanks but it's the worst review write up I have ever seen.

      • Admittedly it is short in the hands on department.

Here's a few pertinent points made in the review, not too bad if you are just trying to find out some more details:

        • "solid aluminum and magnesium chassis that looks and feels like its Apple rival"
        • "powered by up to 16GB of RAM" (meaning you can add 8GB to this model, ie. 2 slots)
        • "HP packed plenty of ports into this slim notebook. You'll be able to access two USB 3.0 ports, one microUSB port, an HDMI port, a smartcard reader and a microSD reader."
        • "Mil-STD 810G certification, which basically means it can withstand reasonable levels of drops, dust, shocks and moisture"

    This review has benchmarks.
