  • "ASUS i7 8TB 1TB Full HD"
its 8GB not 8TB in title

    • thanks revised

    • +2

      Wait it doesn't have 8TB RAM :|

  • Are you getting more of these in stock, i missed out on grabbing a few yesterday?
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/apc-power-saving-back-…

    • Unfortunately, we've sold out all allocated stock.

      Cheers
      SE

  • Does the Miix 510 come with a pen or do you have to buy separately?

    • +1

      Yes, pen is included.

      cheers
      SE

    • Is this Lenovo Miix 510 12.2'' FHD i5-6200U 8GB 256GB W10H @ $599 a good deal? Sorry, is $799.
Is it a good tablet in general?
Never used a tablet but have been thinking of getting one.
These look like good specs for the price.

edit: price I put was incorrect, don't know where I got that from
it does lead to another question though… which is better between the Mixx 510 (http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/lenovo-miix-510-12.2-f…) and the 700 @
http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/lenovo-ideapad-miix-70… once that goes to $799?
Apart from Win10H vs Win10P and the CPUs?
Seems CPUBOSS put the cpu in the 500 as "better" in every category apart from battery usage - http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6200U-vs-Intel-Core-M5…

      Thanks

      • +1

        cpuboss is a bad resource.

it's quite a nice tablet, but the battery is mediocre - 510 is more like a surface pro, whereas the 700 is more like a surface non-pro, with its m5 processor.

        • Have you used the Miix 510 and the SP4? Curious if you have any feedback…

        • @bdl: u series from 6th gen still consume 15w.

from my experience with the sp4 the battery life is around 5h if you're doing web browsing with lots of tabs and programming.

        • ok, thanks for that

        • @Droidyy: are the pens similar?

      • Mix 700 is 2016 version with m processors. Mix 510 is newer with I processors. 700 has 2k screen, 510 fhd.

  • What is the bonus on this ?
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/msi-ge62-apache-pro-15…

    Already at 1899

    • it is Day 1 product (started yesterday) so it is already at $1899.

      cheers

      SE

      • +1

Even on 24-Jun your website sale price was $1899 and it is an EOL item from MSI and sells for $1899 from CPL Online. What is so Marathon about it. Are you sure its not a typo, should have been $1699 right, get the real marathon deals like ebay 20%, sell 1000s of MSI laptops

        • Sorry, misread your previous link.

The model you referring to we are giving bonus Kingston 8GB RAM as per mentioned on promotion page

        • @ShoppingExpress: The laptop comes with - Memory
          8GB DDR4-2400, 2 Slots. But you dont have any 8GB DDR4-2400 from Kingston !!

Hope you guys are bundling this - KINGSTON KVR24S17S8/8

        • @regenade:

The deal have not activated for this model yet.
at 3pm AEST, please add to cart and the free 8GB ram will appear in your cart. Please let me know if you experience issues though
          thanks.

  • Bugger was about to buy WD blues before realising extra for shipping.

    • same here. shipping costs shoudl be included. what a waste of time

    • with shipping included, it should still be $20/20% cheaper than competitors

      • -5

i5-7600k costs around $325 shipped from you guys.
        http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=i5+7600k&sp… $330 from MSY.
Tell me again how that is $20/20% cheaper then competitors?

        • +4

Rep was responding to a comment talking about WD hard drives, not CPUs

        • @IceCreamBandit:My comment is around how their EOFY aren't regarded as sales

        • +3

          @rakkihizoku:

Then why quote the $20/20% part and respond to that particular comment? That was obviously related to the hard drives. Rep did not claim the sale was $20/20% cheaper than all competitors with all products

        • Grab the drive mate. Its the cheapest I guess. I just did. Amazon lowest on pricecamal is 111 AUD excludes shipping! Eyeing for WD Red for a while but this deal came and I dont hold any hesitation.

  • Any deals on 1070/1080s?

  • I wish it had cash rewards damn!

  • +1

Unless it's just for the kids to watch youtube, stay away from the HP Pro Slate 12 Tablet 12.3" Touch with Duet Pen. I've had one for 2 years, it's very dated, clunky and you're much better off with something like a Surface Pro 3 or 4.

    • What about for kid's game in general?

      • Will handle it, but for adult use the res is pretty bad and can lag alot. I have played a few hours of carmageddon on it without trouble.

Device often locks up though requiring a shutdown and then turning it on again (no restart option in power menu).

Wifi also breaks often (2.4 & 5ghz both fail equally), making you turn wifi off then on again. And switching between wifi and 4g is bad so much so that I have long ago given up using 4g option as when it goes off wifi there is mobile carrier signal showing but no data connection also requiring you to turn it off and on again.

On the plus side, the speakers are reasonable and the battery life it pretty good (4 or 5 hours of 720p mkvs on aeroplane mode with about 50% battery left from full).

        • Hmm sounds concerning. What's the frequency of the device locking up? Does it normally lock up under heavy load?

Would you still recommend it for $299? I guess not many to compare in 12" android tablets but even for 10" there's only Lenovo tab 3 10" with a weaker SoC for $248

        • +1

@noone: It's very random. Can sometimes be a few weeks between issues or hours. Depends on how much you value $299. I spent $1k on it when it came out hence my dissatisfaction. It's still running Android 5 and has been a very long time since the last update.

If it's for kids they can manage with a cheaper 10inch but if you need the extra screen there isn't much choice.

        • @Mechz: I have been wanting to try Android as a complete replacement to my laptop for ages, and after losing out on the HP Android laptop deal around a year or so ago this is the first device that's been big enough to consider for me. Also I can't really see myself only using Chrome, so Chromebooks are out. Apart from the issues how have you found it to use as a platform? And does it come with a keyboard or is there one available or do you use a generic one?

        • @Jackson: you can bluetooth one but there are sweet fa accessories to go with this, get a Samsung TabPro with windows, this is not a Pro device despite the name

  • What colour is the ASUS laptop?

  • Hi Rep
Is the Asus laptop available on your ebay store? as 10% ebay offer is still on
Also does it come with optical drive as it says "optional" in specs?
    Thanks

    • Hi probargainer,

The price offered for this laptop is for our Online store and during this sale only.

Yes it comes with DVD burner, will update the specifications

      cheers

Is this australian stock or overseas stock? how long is the shipment?

    • Hi Nadesuke,

These are all Australian stock, we have them in stock and usual dispatch from warehouse (we are based in sydney) for in stock item = 1-2 business days
shipment time will varies based on your location.

      regards
      SE

      • Hi rep, what about warranty?
Does "1 Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty" mean we will go to Lenovo if something goes wrong?
And by australian stock, it should come with tax invoice and eligible for TRS - is that correct?

        • +1

And by australian stock, it should come with tax invoice and eligible for TRS - is that correct? Yes

Does "1 Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty" mean we will go to Lenovo if something goes wrong? <== you may go to us or go to Lenovo depending on your choice. Limited is a term manufacture used that limit the scope of their offered warranty, eg hardware issues only etc.

We are a major partner of Lenovo Australia and buying from us means you have someone who may able to step in and help if unexpected issues arise with your purchase.

          cheers

  • HP Pro Slate 12 tablet is out of stock now.

    • Did you manage to get one?

I was in the process of checking out when it went out of stock :(

      • Nope. :^/ I was in at the first few seconds, but didn't realize that the stock was only allocated at moment of order processing, so by the time I tweaked my delivery address and thought too long about another gadget… it was all academic.
I just saw the tablet is listed for 8pm tomorrow as well. I guess they held some stock back?

        • Can't have had many if they sold out in the 3 minutes I took to log in :(

I plan on buying a GTX 1080ti from this store, anyone else bought graphics cards from here and were satisfied?

    • +1

Bought an MSI Gaming X last week in the 20% off sale. Came in 3 days, good condition sealed in a bubble wrap manialla folder inside another large box. No complaints so far. Overclocking tonight. Be careful with the ASUS TURBO or the ARMOUR - went through a few reviews and there was issues with those, so pick your model carefully. (Auros or Gaming X get decent reviews everywhere).

Also Destiny 2 came bundled, but the promotion said end 28th July - so be careful with that.

    • +1

I have bought multiple times from Shopping Express, and happy every time. Once, a GPU came with a damaged box (courier's fault). I wasn't happy with it and told the courier to return it (I wasn't going to touch it and risk taking ownership of any defects). Shopping Express were very professional in handling my issue and had another sent out via a different courier ensure it didn't happen again! They have otherwise always sent my parcels safely and securely and all items have worked.

I plan on buying a 1080Ti from these sales too.

  • the hp tablet is quite old?

  • If you do use them be careful of their courier "fastway couriers". At least pay the extra 10 for auspost.

A quick google review of fastway will show you why.

    • Yes fastway are idiots… they damaged one of my parcels, but SE were awesome in handling it and getting a new item shipped to me via AusPost to ensure everything went smoothly. :)

  • +1

You already have 1080Ti out of stock, do you expect to have the reasonable quantity for this special?

    • Yes I can't say if I'm too impressed if advertised bargain is out of stock from the very start :/

  • I'd like to have Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition tonight.
But it is showing out of stock at the moment. When would we be able to order them? Or even PRE-order?

    • +1

You can only order during the promotion period

      regards
