    • I had the same problem last week and contacted live chat, so they should give me a refund soon they said.
These codes don't seem to work 100% with foreign currencies. I don't know why, it is obviously a glitch. The problems are always with foreign currencies, I have seen other threads too where people said they had a problem.
Just use live chat and they will open a case and give you a refund themselves.

      • And this is the speil I just got from their online help:

"I'm sorry to let you know that the promotions on ebay.com.au are eligible for items listed on ebay.com.au only under AUD currency"

Even though (unless I'm totally missing it), that the T&C does not mention anywhere currency has to be AUD…

        • +1

My code was a different one last week, but they didn't tell me that, and as far as I can remember the T&C were the same. And I can't find any mention that the currency has to be in AUD either.

        • @OzBargainGrabber:
exactly same. logged on 10.15 and wacko theres the 15%

  • The deal started "just" when I was going to apply the other code for 10% off, and luckily I saw it, so I saved 15% instead. :)

    • Username checks out.

Dammit eBay increasing SYDney house prices!

  • Any good TV to buy guys ☺️☺️☺️?

    • +2

I don't think they make TVs specifically for gender.

    • +1

      yes. heaps.

      • Lol normally I'll say the same thing, but TVs are the hardest darn thing to buy. Review can say "visual quality is good for 900 bucks," you buy it, and it's pretty meh. Hisense tvs are my biggest experiences with these.

  • any deals on 4k TVs??

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Retro-Bit-8Bitdo-RB8-N64-Style-Wi…

Pair it with something else $10 to reach the $75 to be eligible for the discount though.

        • Cool find, I've never liked how xbox/playstation controllers work in emulators. Good to know these things exist.

        • @c0balt: Yep agreed. The company has a few different nintendo controllers - Decent SNES and NES bluetooth builds. Having trouble locate a Sega one though.

  • Just wondering if this deal works with make an offer option on ebay? Doesn't say anywhere in the t&c.

    • +1

it does. but what if they accept the offer after the promo period?

    • +2

yes as along as you pay with paypal while the offer is still on.

    • Yes thanks guys. Thankfully the seller accepted my offer while the special was still on.

  • Anyone recommend a VR headset for an Xperia XZ Premium (which I wish I'd bought today instead of a few days ago)?

  • Interestingly it seems you might be able to use it more than once. I completed a transaction with the discount, then started the checkout process on another. The discount was applied successfully on the second transaction, but I didn't complete.

    • Code gets blocked once you login to Paypal.

  • Good back on 15% off

  • If I submit offers on multiple items from different sellers and they get accepted, can I combine the payments into 1 transaction? Or do you have to pay for each accepted offer individually?

    • yes

      • Your boned if they don't accept quickly

Has anyone else noticed that the eBay site has gone to sh**? I don't know what javascript they've added but it's crashing browsers on my pc and macbook

    • +1

Currently stuck with Paypal "processing". Why can't they just link out to the Paypal site like they used to and link back in…

    • Yeah been breaking on my pc but works perfectly on phone.
When I've tried listing an item it says they'll be removing all those mumbo Jumbo in July to speeded up the site and save us from virus' etc.

Cause currently we can link external sites to the listing etx but they're gonna shut it all off next month.

Can anyone help me with micro SD cards?

I need two 64gb cards with decent write speeds for a digital SLR wedding photographer (Nikon d610 and d750).

There are so many similarly named cards out there I have NO IDEA which ones have decent write speeds.

    Thanks!

Pretty measly deal for eBay to end on.

    • Opinions vary.

I'm no fan of the specific store discount codes on Ebay, but the site wide codes mean there's plenty of decent bargains to be found (as it's less likely to lead to price jacking by seller's).

Thanks TA for another great post.

      • +1

Nothing against TA here for the post.

It's just all the hype around this "eBay hump month sales" and they have had this 15% off $75 or more spend site wide about 3 or 4 times throughout June. They could have at least ended on a 20%.

        • Oh yeah I agree, would have been nice to get 20% off site wide, but 15% off anything is a decent consolation prize.

  • +1

sooooo what dont i need to buy today….?

  • Had a terrible experience just now.
Thought the wait was finally over for the Ninendo Switch and picked up one from Ebgames Ebay store.

    With discount it was $406.

And i bought it striaght away, later received email i was charged the full price. So i called ebay up and they asked where did i get the code from.

I said a friend of mine gave it to me, and she proceeded to say it was expired 3 days ago and then it is common for system to still recognise discount but when it is already over.

So as a gesture of goodwill, they gave a 10% credit to me.

I thought fair enough until i tried to order another one, it does give the 15% again!

Has anyone been able to get the 15% discount today?
The hotline and email is hopeless.

If anyone is after a Citizen Eco-Drive with a screw down crown & 200 metres, this is a good deal (only 5 in stock of each) -

    Citizen Eco-Drive AW1410-24E (black dial) $154.00 - $7.70 - $21.94 = $124.36 shipped
    Citizen Eco-Drive AW1410-32X (green dial) $154.00 - $7.70 - $21.94 = $124.36 shipped

    • +1

      Thanks WatchNerd.

I might use the search bar to see what else is out there.

  • Yup - $300 a killer. Works out at 8% on the item I was after; was holding out for a last better deal. Thanks anyway

I am apologies for my silly question..

Is this "Crazy" code will work for any eBay shopping?
I can buy LED down lights or this code is limited for particular stores only?

    Thanks,

  • Can anyone recommend a decent gaming monitor, maybe around 27", at a decent (Low-mid budget) price if they've seen one.
I've tried searching but the amount of results for someone who doesn't really know what they're looking for is overwhelming

    • +1

Search for S2716DG, look worldwide. There are new or open box models for about $550 AU delivered from US
      144hz 1440p monitor with 1ms
It has GSYNC and to get a comparable monitor with G Sync is at least 7-800 bucks normally.
This is beneficial if you have Nvidia - otherwise you can look for one with FreeSYNC which is much cheaper.

Source: lost my day to research

      • Thank you so much, I really appreciate it

Anyone found qc35 below $350 and above the never to be repeated $250 deal?

    • Just bought Asus rt-ac5300 supposed to be top of the range with lot's of positive reviews.
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Asus-RT-AC5300-AC5300-5300Mbps-Tr…

      Paid $420.75 (excluding CR 1.3%)

      • I bought it for the WTFast about 1-2 yrs ago but the game library is small and restrictive… in other words it was pointless to me :(

UI and performace feels the same as my AC66U with 1 extra band of 5GHz… Wouldn't say i'd regret it but wouldn't say I was wow'ed by it too.

  • Just purchased Electrolux dryer!

    Thank you eBay.

    • What did you get and for how much? I've been waiting for a deal on a decent dryer for ages

      • Elextrolux EDV6552 from Appliances Online eBay for $395.25 delivered.

  • guys i'm in a dilemma! i want the harmon kardon aura speakers and i can see there's one listed on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Harman-Kardon-Aura-Black-Subwoofe… but it only comes with 90 day manufacturer refurb warranty where as jbhifi is doing a sale on the aura studio (stripped down version that has no airplay or wifi) for 299. i need help!!! what would you guys do

    • what would you guys do

Given this deal could end at any moment, i would focus on what i was looking at buying.
      No dilemma there…

      • jbhifi sale ends today, and i assume ebay sale ends at midnight. i pulled the trigger on the ebay sale though

        • Everyone is saying "pull the trigger".

How about "caressed the buy button" or "cajoled PayPal" or "seduced the seller" or something.

Hmm, some of my phrasing could be improved there - bit of a hatchet job.

  • What's the return policy on Myer Ebay purchases guys? Same 30 day back to physical store ok for change of mind if unopened?

    Any cheap Switch deals?

  • Damn, I'm getting a sizeable lump in my bank account early tomorrow. Hopefully it'll last until then…

    • paypal link to your bank account, by the time it draws from your bank, the money would be there

      • Hmmmm should I risk being blacklisted by Paypal if the payment doesn't go through on time, I wonder?

        • they will draw the funds regardless of your balance. I've had one of my accounts linked to paypal go in the red $2000~ for a period of maybe 1 day without realizing, transferred cash and copped a $10 fee for overdrawn.

        • Buy it after 6:00pm tonight so the payment from bank will be processed on Monday.

    • do what berger said and also buy it late at night today

  • I have been able to get them to honour the 15% with international sales with previous codes via ebay chat, with refunds to come in next 2 weeks.
Tried again, they wouldn't budge and said no.

    • I bought an audioengine speaker from the UK with global shipping program, code worked just fine without even needing to contact them.
Just make sure its from .au

  • The sale I wanted but didn't need.
