      it's not 2017 model. I guess Apple has abandoned the whole macbook air line in favor of new macbook and macbook pro.

        It is the 2017 model, but apple didn't update the specs. the only difference between the 2015 macbook air and 2017 is that the minimum ram in 2017 is 8gb. same CPU etc

      I don't believe there is a 2017 model of the MacBook Air. This looks like the 2016 model which was a slight upgrade over the 2015 model (8gb ram and slightly high clocked i5 processor). Body and most of the internals are all the same

        You are wrong. The air didn't receive any updates in 2016, the only update it has is this 2017 model which uses the 2015 cpu with a little bit higher proformance, everything else pretty much the same, don't ask me why, ask cook

    Remember that the screen on this is very poor these days, It's performance is also pretty average even for an ultrabook.

    If you specifically need an ultrabook mac, sure.

    Otherwise, get something else.

      Although the screen res is low, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio which some people prefer.

      Having moved to retina some years ago, there is no way I could go back though!

    But the question is, does Myer have stock and will they honor the price? Looking at all their recent negative reviews on eBay, they have cancelled many MacBook orders.

      Correct, get in quick. I ordered a macbook last week, then had to chase them up twice and after 7 business days they finally told me it was out of stock and that the money would be refunded. Rubbish online service from Myer, god help them when Amazon comes online.

        Yep, I ordered a MacBook from their ebay from a similar deal and their estimated delivery date was Thursday (yesterday). It’s still yet to ship because they seem to be out of stock.

        I did email them on Wednesday and they said their usual estimated dispatch time was 4-7 days even though their terms actually say 4-7 days for delivery, not dispatch. Just gonna wait it out and hope they ship it once stock comes in. 😬

    these have a really long battery life, I've gotten around 13+ with my 2013 13" MBA, no longer have it though
