    What a steal.

    • If you mean by the vendor, the old non-wifi model was under $300 usually.

  • bit cheaper on your ebay store with the sitewide coupon http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Bellini-Supercook-Wi-Fi-Kitch…

  • If anyone wanted to buy it would be better to buy from Ebay using coupon codes

  • Any good ebay coupons atm beside c5oz?

  • My curiousity got the better of me and I googled and youtube'd the hell out of this.

I'm probably even more confused now than I was before as to what this thing would be good for.

Seems to basically be a flood blender with a little wifi phone-shaped device that stores recipes… but pretty much everything I've seen comes out as some sort of soup or purée?

it's good for making hot wet rice caution : contains rude words and adult concepts

Make yoghurt from scratch. Risottos without manual stirring. It's a food processor and cooker/steamer. If you don't know what this thing does or how it can be helpful you probably won't get much use out of it.

      • Had a good laugh at that altomic! :)

Yeah I kinda figured out what it did eventually but thought… surely that can't be it for the price?

I kind of "get it" but the use cases for this are fairly slim I'd imagine? Unless you're a massive risotto fan or you're constantly making dips…

You could make yoghurt from scratch with a $60 handheld food processor.
You could also steam your veggies with a veggie steamer for about $50.

Yeah that's two separate products so will take up space, but the video I seen of this thing steaming vegetables, it had a novelty sized tray balancing on top of it… so probably similar footprint.

        • No think you missed the point about yoghurt. To make yoghurt you have to heat up milk to at least 60 pref 70°C. If you do that in a pot on the stove the milk burns unless you constantly stir it. Even then that's a hassle as you get best results by heating it up for a good 30mins. This does it all - heats up the ingredients and stirs, which means it doesn't burn and you don't have to worry about keeping an eye on it. It can also chop, blend, purree, steam (both inside or using the larger steaming tray above it), saute, etc… There's a cheaper version wothout the wifi controller but the heating element only heats to 110° - this does 130°. Personally I don't use the wifi feature as it's actually very insecure and can expose your network. Everything else is great.

    • It's a knock-off Thermomix… it can chop, mix, fold, steam, boil, etc.
Can do salsas, bolognaise, etc. in this.

I made Thai Chilli Chicken Cakes in this, and it turned out really well. Blitzes the chilli for you, then you mix in the other ingredients, then finally the mince and folds it all together. …yes, you did have to then take out the mix and shape it into little cakes and pan fry them, but that's the easy bit. :P

We make Eggs Benedict at home using this, the machine can make the hollandaise sauce really reliably.

If you've got the bags, you can probably sous vide in this thing too.

  • Reminder if anyone bought the Bellini pressure cookers it's being recalled.
