  • nice….was looking at G5+ or the Z-play.
    will have to pull the trigger on one of these two phones with this discount code.

    Anyone would recommend the Redmi Note 3/4 over this for slightly cheaper?

      I would say, Moto has far better track record on OS & security update than XiaoMi.

      Still it is your call.

      GO MOTO

  • Apparently Moto gonna release G5S and G5s plus next week

    • Noah is that you? :p

      Yes, I saw they are having an event next week (July 26, AU time). Let's see what they come up with.

    D'oh! Pulled the trigger & got one last week… :(

    Edit: That being said, I only paid $297.82 last week, so I guess it's not that terrible, however 'tis the OzBargain way to lament over pocket-change.

      How did you get the G5 Plus 4gb/32gb last week for $297? I paid $304 to eglobal ebay store with a YOUR25 off code.

      Happy with that price as it included a cheap 16gb micro sd card, but ordered on the 17th and still not shipped :-(

      • Ah, I was looking at PayPal & it was showing USD. Mine still hasn't shipped yet either. :(

        • So, that means you paid around AU$370 then after ebay discount code even? Who did you order from???

        • @ozhunter68: don't mind me, I don't do maths so well… had a PayPal balance so the amount I paid out of my bank was the ~$297.

          And it arrived today, did you get yours? I'm in love.

          @LustStarrr:

          No probs, that makes sense. Don't worry, math not my strong point also. Got mine yesterday and also loving it so far. Enjoy :-)

        • @ozhunter68: You too! I'm still in love, although getting worried about finding a case for it before my unco wrecks this sweet romance… seen any good armoured cases getting around, if you've been looking?

          @LustStarrr:

          I find it funny when I read people say, "this phone is the best phone I've owned", and have to say the same about this G5 Plus for me lol. As it's the most $ I have ever paid by far ( especially all previous phones were local AU stock, but at OzBargain prices ), and the latest new model, this is not a surprise.

          I still have a as new LG G2 with almost same size and 1080p screen, it lacks both B5 for Vodafone 4G and B28 for Optus & Telstra 4G, especially where I live in hilly Byron Shire territory. Also this dual sim 4G/3G kicks Ass and as I'm a sim slut, this feature will be super handy.

          I love slim flip style cases myself and got this one from ebay
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorola-Moto-G5-G5-plus-Case-Cov...

          Made a quick slip up with tempered glass screen protectors, and by default ebay listing ordered G5 instead of G5 plus. Oh well, s**t happens.

  • Great price.

  • Does this model have NFC?

    • Yes

      • Thanks.

        With NFC, this phone is a great deal at under $300.

    Ordered Friday, arrived today from Taiwan, pretty quick!

    • Just wondering if you (or anyone else who purchased this deal) had checked your phone to ensure it had 4GB of RAM and not 3GB?

      A user received a 3GB version from another grey importer, see here and some websites are showing 3GB instead of 4GB in the specs. Just thought I'd make sure no one else may have had the same thing but not realised it had 3GB of RAM.

        Mine has 4GB.
