          @noodlesfordaddy: No such thing as a 2017 air. They still use the 5th gen processor (2 gen behind), hasn't been updated in years. The slight Ghz bump but using the same old processor is nothing. Do not get it.

      Reminds me of Dick Smith and we all know how that ended. I give Myer 12 months to live. Terminal diagnosis sadly. I recently called them to check stock of an item. Waited 20 minutes on hold to speak to a Filipino call centre to be told they'd direct me to the store and that if no one answered, it's because they're too busy and I should call back later. I actually got through to a lady who couldn't help and told me to call another store. Guess what? I didn't bother.

      The department store will be a relic of history soon alongside film cameras.

    massive price jack. Sonicare Diamond Clean is $369. Everyone else including shaver shop has it for $279 before sale. Even with 20% discount its still $295.. I guess Myer paying Jennifer Hawkin $4million salary had to come from somewhere…

      Macbooks aren't budget computers by any stretch of the imagination. They are very reliable, but the hardware in almost all respects lags behind non-Macs. If you want it for gaming or high intensity work then I'd shop elsewhere because they are terrible bang for buck. If you want a reliable workhorse then they really can't be beat.

      Impulsively bought a $700 13" Macbook Air 128gb during the legendary 20% ebay sale of June 2014 after being a Windows user all my life. It was meant to be the 2013 model but for some reason, i received the early 2014 model.

      Technology wise, it's lacking BUT it still runs perfectly fine to this day:
      * Battery Condition: Normal (i think this means it's still healthy)
      * Hinges aren't loose/ still support the screen properly
      * No trackpad/keyboard/sound/wifi issues
      * Still blazing fast for Chrome, emails, Netflix and MS Word
      * Added one of those Samsung 128gb Fit Flash Drives for $40 last year to house some light media. Apps all installed on the SSD.

      I have dropped it multiple times, spilled tea on the keyboard while cramming assignments and it still somehow runs as well as it did out of the box 3 years ago. All in all the best $700 i have ever spent. If my current Air broke, I would be completely fine with spending $1135 to buy a new 128gb model in this sale. The build quality and reliability is top notch and OSX is a joy to use (so much that I can't see myself going back to a Windows laptop. NB: I use my Windows desktop purely for gaming).

      The specs are lacking for the price but if you have a grand to burn and you're not looking to game/edit videos, imo you can't go wrong. I normally prioritise 'price $/performance' for hardware (e.g. bought a Xiaomi Mi5 instead of dropping >$1k on whatever was the latest iPhone at the time) but the Macbook Air is my one exception. It's just a seriously enjoyable and reliable piece of hardware to use.

      If you're looking for a similar style/form factor laptop running Windows, I've heard good things about the Xiaomi Air which is also significantly cheaper - you should do some research into this.

          13in 128gb Macbook Air that I bought 3 or so years ago. It still runs almost like new. Pretty much still an all day battery too.

          It just works.
