      Wut? Tasmania is not a different country, and your own mobile etc will work there just fine. At $55 minimum charge, and only 5GB at decent speeds over that period, this thing is hideous value for within Australian states and territories. You can buy your own prepaid wifi hotspot with included data for that price.

      @seanbaussie : the pocket wifi uses SIM-less technology. It connects to local telco network in destination country to get the best possible network. When you receive the package from us, you may set up your devices to connect to the pocket wifi in Australia so that you can simply turn on the pocket wifi at the destination and you are ready to surf internet using your devices as soon as the pocket wifi is connected to the local network.       Yes I have multiple times and they have always had good customer service. Shame they jacked price up and lowered data though, so I won't be using them anymore.

          I shopped around but in the end I bought sim cards for Europe and USA. I will just rely on hotel wifi for laptop usage.

    Depends on the frequency of travel, from the ongoing cost perspective, it would be much cheaper to get a Smartgo Pokefi. 5gb data with no expiry for US$15 or 5days for US$15. RRP is around A$260 but I bought it on Cathay's flight at around A$160. It works fine in Perth with download speed of around 30mb. Around 60 countries is on the list at the moment

      @mparf : the promo ends 31 Aug 2017. You may make reservation for any future travel dates. It is FREE to cancel as long as the pocket wifi has not been posted (which is normally about 1 week prior the departure date).
