  Keep in mind that Asus track record is super slow and buggy in their upgrades. The Zenfone 2 was released in march 2015; Nougat was officially released on 22 August 2016; Zenfone 2 only received the marshmallow update in 31 august 2016… Zenfone 3 released on August 2016 and only got the nougat update on June 28, 2017. On the plus side they did "promise" android O to both the zenfone 3 and 4.

      zenfone 3 was Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625. it took them 10 months to release nougat for it. Zenfone 3 released on August 2016 and only got the nougat update on June 28, 2017

        @superforever: Yes i agree but zenfone 3 isnt using intel so your excuse for the delay asus does makes no sense. In comparison the LG v20 released september 2016 (1 month after asus zenfone 3) had nougat from release.

        Also final beta of android O was released July 24, 2017 before the Z3 even got nougat. With android O final releasing today. we'll see how long it takes asus to roll it to their z3 and 4 devices.

        My ZenFone selfie is still lollipop no update has appeared there was supposed to be a manual update I tried but it kept coming up with an error.

    Not true at all. The Zenfone 3 had its Nougat update in early March, definitely not late June, not so sure where you got that date from.
    Not only that, their security updates on the Zenfone 3 series are very regular, the Zenfone 3 is already on August security patch.

      sorry i was reading the 7.1.1 update. so thats 7 months to release nougat then which is getting better but still not great when compared with other manufacturers
