No the Ultra is most used for the ability to stream 4K/Ultra HD content.
Personally i use it for a less cared feature which is support for x265 so my Plex media server on my PC doesn't have to transcode from The files original x265 to x264.
Why x265 and not x264? Smaller files sizes at the same quality vs larger higher bitrate on x264 files.
I also find streaming high res content a little more stable with a ethernet cable on EOP. Wifi is too intermittent especially if you have a million wifi devices (my house has printer, multiple phones, multiple laptops, airconditioners, lifx lights, tv's, media players, cameras, wifi baby monitors + more devices i've forgotten about…)

The ever increasing device list means that even consumers need to think about their home network backbones & act accordingly. One example is buying more than one router to spread the load. And thankfully consumer friendly mesh capable wireless routers such as Google Wifi, Netgear Orbi, TP-Link Deco, etc, are making it simpler to spread the wireless load. I will always try to connect all my devices via Ethernet if I can (for reasons such as less interference, better speed) but that's not always possible nor convenient. I have certainly found my wireless network has become much more resilient since I stopped relying on just one wireless router to handle all my wireless connections

better off buying a Xiaomi Mi Box for this price. Since getting my android box and installed VPN for US Netflix, never ever had to use chromecast again

I didn't realise mi box can do google home casting. that changes everything. my current android box only does miracasting which only works for screen mirroring which is why I want to move to a google home casting device.

I only went for the Ultra over mi box was cause i found is cheaper used from CEX i traded my chromecast 2 and was only like $25 to get the ultra.
What VPN did you install on yiur Mi Box? I've got a PIA VPN acc. Can I use that for US Netflix?

Yes PIA. You can use the openvpn app in the playstore. I downloaded the profiles onto a flash drive and copied into my mibox and loaded the pia profile via openvpn. Used US East
