Here are the SSDs which will very well make this PC a beast - Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF.

I have tested the speeds on the Dell Optiplex PC running Windows 10 and iMacs running Sierra (TRIM enabled) and they both reported Read/Write speeds of 550MB/s and 530MB/s respectively.

And with regards to the storage capacity, I see that 256GB fits perfectly for most users. 128GB is a bit tight and 500GB is mostly unused to the full extent.

Also, these 850 PRO models are better than the EVO models performance wise and also warranty wise (10 years with 850 PRO)

    Is it possible to transfer the windows key to the SSD I'm putting in my 9010 or do i have to buy windows again?

      Most of the 9010s have the key injected on to the motherboard. It is not associated to the Hard Disk or SSD. Once you install the OS using the ISO from dell website (instructions below), the OS gets auto activated.

      If it isn't injected, there will be a key sticked on the PC case, which you use during installation. And that takes care of activation.

      Instructions:

        Just tried to download the iso using the service tag on my 9010 and got this:

        The recovery image download could not be generated due to missing information. Please contact technical support for assistance.

        Do you know why that would be?

        If im able to source a dell windows 7 or 10 install CD would it work with my product key?

          Yes, but which 9010 are you referring to? I have only hand delivered one unit so far.

    Before you go purchase a graphics card, the 9020 SFF only supports a single slot, as the only 16x pci-e is the lower one, that is hard up against the PSU.

    You'll get away with a low profile 1050Ti in the 9010, I think. Just google for the motherboard images and see where the slots lie.

    Source: have a 990 SFF with a 1050Ti, and have had a 9020 SFF and saw the layout.

    Just bought a 500gb Samsung Evo SSD and gigabyte gtx1050ti from MSY. Got lucky that the 1050ti fits as it's double slot and so is the 9010 as stated above.

    Was wondering how people have gone abouts setting up a steam / Kodi / emulator HTPC what software / setups they've used?

    It looks like it is not Express Shipping. Also the seller gave me a CouriersPlease tracking number but "No scan events found" when tracking on the CouriersPlease website.
