        • Too risky for me. Check Whirlpool.

They use the standard generic Chinese entry-level model of a particular tool and give it a unique paint scheme and apply a German-sounding name decal. No different to any number of suppliers who obtain made-to-order tools and appliances from the same factory in China by the container-load. Think Ozito from Bunnings or Rockwell from SuperCheap. Perhaps some consumers are thinking they are buying BMW quality when they are really buying Great Wall. The price should be a clue. I use some of the tools referred to, and they are perfectly adequate for light and occasional domestic use.

  • I got an ebay notification through my app this morning telling me that there is a discount code for 10% off sites wide but when I went my my notifications in the app it's not there.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

      • Also check your letterbox as you may have missed the package.

There is also a round of No Final Value Fee listings going around, try your luck here to see if you're targeted.

    • +4

Clicked that link and it automatically accepted the offer

    • I tried that, and tried listing something, relisting something, ending and then relisting it and the counter doesn't go up from 0, so it doesn't work? I went to read the terms and conditions, maybe there could be a reason why the counter doesn't go up by 1, and I get:

      Page not found
The requested page could not be found.

any cheap prebuilt systems for gaming?

  • I can't believe how many of these sellers list items well above RRP? Discraceful!

    • What does the first R stand for in RRP

      • +5

        Rorted.

  • lenovo laptops not worth, either craps display at 1366 or has intel hd grpahics

ebay looks like a dumping ground

  • This offer runs for 10 days, what are the chances EB will have a big sale in that time? Been waiting on a couple of items to go on sale (again) and combining with this 20% off code would make them a STEAL!

    (upvote for EB inclusion)

    • If they do have big sale, i'd be surprised if their eBay prices change

      • Normally it would auto populate I would assume.. They don't have monkeys changing each individual item do they?

        • No, but could auto add 20% to everything on ebay.

        • +1

          No, they are in store.

  • +1

    Any HTC Vives?

  • Any decent sales on sub $500 small travel (<15") laptop? Just need it for light usage not games so processor doesnt have to be that great..

The Dell Inspiron 3000 is an awesome little laptop perfect for your needs, it'll be $319.20 @ 4pm.

  • +3

A few monitors I started watching have gone "out of stock" in the last few hours. From over 10 available to sold out in a couple of hours for $1000+ items seems legit.

These sales are a let down when the items either get removed or price hikes.

  • I want to buy the new Mario for Nintentdo switch. Can anyone recommend a seller which stocks it?

    • No, as it isn't out.

  • buymobileau - one of the sellers, has a feedback of 86.6%. haven't seen anything that low before

    • must be crap

    • Actually took a risk and bought my Huawei M3 4g tablet. Arrived with no issues. Thankfully.

  • Can you buy now, not pay and apply coupon after the promotion starts or does it need to be entered immediately prior to payment?

    • +2

Yes as long as the store lets you buy now without payment (have done it before). Discount applies when you pay, not buy. Some stores require immediate payment so you actually only buy when you pay. Doesn't work with those stores.

Any good deal on Logitech Megaboom? List price seems quite high in the listings I've seen. Appreciate anyone's help

  • Only about $5 dearer for me to go to my local store and buy NAS and Hard drives from there

  • Any s7 edge deals for under 550?

    • Same here :)

    • try it again at 4pm this afternoon

    • scratch that doesn't start for another hour 1600 AEST

  • Any s8+ deals

    • I searched, and no deals apparently. Last one from shopmonk was best, which I missed out ☹

      • Check out my comment above, happy purchasing if you decide to get it :)

    • Only 4 Available but you'll be able to get an S8+ in Gold or Grey for Aus Stock for $799.20 from Here in 15 minutes time :) It says New Condition which means pretty much brand new. Great price for local stock with Samsung warranty.

      • Thanks but not really with AU warranty when it says 12 months. Shopmonk had it for ~720, at least guaranteed brand new

        • Fair enough, just thought it'd be better because the seller is based in Aus so will be much easier for warranty but your choice :)

  • Any deals for Xiaomi Mi5 or equivalent? Need a new phone!

    • You should take a look at the deals on Gearbest during the last few days.

      • Thanks mate, checked stock late they are all expired :( and I'm not so sure about the Xiaomi A1

    • +1

For every single listing that is part of the sale? Come back with some examples before negging.

      • -1

So I can only neg if all the prices are jacked ? Can i neg if only one is jacked ? I think this is advertising and not real discounts as the ones are valid for all sites on ebay.

I think I should be able to neg the deal and other should be able to vote positive….then there would be a balance of negative and positive votes for the deal. It seems that you can only vote positive to this "deal" when is not the best in many instances.

        • +1

Read the Negative vote guidelines. To neg, you must have examples of better deals elsewhere.

What is wrong with advertising? Everything on this site is advertising in some way. It is whether or not each post is worthy of being on OzBargain that people should be considering when voting.

So if this 'deal' doesn't interest you, just keep scrolling.

        • @IceCreamBandit: I meant that the 20% discount code is not a deal - There are some specific good deals but is not a good deal when most of the shops increase their prices.
If the advertisemnt is because it's the best deal I think it's great. Next time I will post specific items with better price elsewhere.

The xbone s deal at EBGames is selling fast. Credit to them, they didn't jack up the price. $244.15
    Bought. :)

…and the Destiny/Forza Horizon 3 units are all gone.
The Destiny/Minecraft units are still available.

    edit -

    What the…
Somebody in the warehouse must have just found another pallet. lol
Destiny/Forza Horizon 3 deal is available again.

    • Common trick, keep updating the stock so there's only a few available. Then eBay will put up all these nice messages like "Almost Gone!" and "Hurry, last one in stock!" to urge people to buy. They almost always have plenty of stock.

  • Is there a way of searching all of the eligible stores at the same time?

Are you just supposed to use the side panel options to refine the categories? I was hoping there was a more normal search bar like there usually is.

      • +3

Thanks but I want to search for something. This is the most inconvenient discount code ever. Normally there is a convenient link on the home page and then you can search.

Thanks OP, picked up a fancy gaming monitor for $880. Hopefully no deal pixels as the QC in these haven't been great.
