Not to mention the clean-up potential after a good bang!

Might even be useful for keeping the ahem 'heart shaped bicycle lights' in good order!

        • I'd like to think that the fact i have no idea what you're talking about simply reflects my good breeding.

        • @AngryChicken: reference is to the regular deals on here for 'heart shaped bicycle lights' that show up fairly regularly https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/312085

        • @2ndeffort:

          Oh.
          Thank you for clarifying.

Hmm I don't really need one. But it is 1c… can't say no to that!

  • I'm in the UK and it accepted my order (from a UK IP address with a UK shipping address) - my Paypal a/c is registered in Oz, not sure if that made a difference or not.

    • +1

Reported for not being in Straya.

    • Yep, gearbest and rosegal also sell "Oz only" goods to people from all over the world. The code are even on Europeans bargain websites.
As long as there are new customers/viewers, it's all good.

  • Any chance you can revive this deal, Tightarse?

  • yeah yeah, code only works for 1st item, still good deal i guess.

  • Thanks for the deal TA, that is the time I didn't want to proceed as the quality of these is really low and I don't need it even for free :)

  • Just bought 3 at 2c each ;)

    • How, the code doesn't change the price?

    • You made 3 accounts?

  • Missed it ! My arse will forever be dirty :(

  • Can't seem to turn off shipping insurance on chrome on android

  • Still worked for me, thanks!

  • Just got one a few minutes ago, thanks!

  • Add the code first, then deselect shipping. It will still show a shaded tick in the shipping box but the final price will be at the very bottom without shipping on it.

  • Wouldn't work for me until I cleared my cache.

  • Epic!

  • How do I purchase at that price, Is It only for one???..because I was gunna buy 100 haha.

  • Don't forget the 5% off with Cashrewards too!!

  • What's the difference between this and the travel towels like these from Kathmandu?

    • +1

      about eleventy billion dollars.

      • eleventy billion dollars

        Dollarydoos.

    • Reported for mentioning Kathmandu.

  • So I made a tit of myself, rushed the process then accidentally forgot to untick the $1 paypal insurance (on a 1c item, I know, dopey) requested a refund and was promptly refunded. I chanced it again using my garbage FB unlock account (for sites/deals) went through the process again (making sure not to add the paypal insurance) and it worked. WohOO! Thx TA.

What am I doing wrong? Keep getting this error when I enter the code, while doing checkout:

'Sorry, the coupon is only valid for order (item only) sub-totals over 1.08. Over AU$ 1.36, save AU$ 1.34'

    • +1

Price shows $1.08, but the cart shows $1.00, so when I apply the code, I get this error

Sorry, the coupon is only valid for order (item only) sub-totals over $1.08. Over $1.08, save $1.07

    • +1

Same problem/error. I am logged in before applying code too.

      • No Cleanarse this time :-(
Will have to see if gets offered cheaper ;-)

        • 2 pcs @ 1c you reckon?

        • Seems to be trending that way ;-) Or maybe they'll pay us 1c!

    Received mine today.

Gotta say it's pretty bad. Wouldn't buy again even for 1c.

  • Received mine one as well. Totally rubbish.

  • +1

Woo hoo…mine turned up this afternoon! I definitely got what I paid for! But for one cent, I won't complain :)

  • +1

    Got mine today thanks.

    • +1

Mine too. Not sure if worth 1c but hey, another rag to use around the house at least.

  • +1

Got mine today. Will probably never use.

  • Mine arrived last Friday, the quality is interesting.

    • +1

      Ditto. Mine arrived on Friday.

I've never used Microfibre before but I hear some people use them for all sorts of things.

Where do others go to get better quality ones?

      • Unfortunately I have no idea, would love to know. I love microfiber but all the recent ones I have seen are garbage.

      • +2

Generally speaking, the higher the GSM, the higher the quality. These 1c ones are probably 50 or 100gsm, barely usable for wiping your phone's screen. Look for 350gsm or higher for cleaning cloths. After a certain gsm, the towels are more absorbent and are more suited for drying than cleaning.

Microfibre cloths made in Korea seem to be better quality than the ones from China.

I bought some 350gsm cloths from ebay. They are no longer in stock, but they were 10 cloths, 40x40cm, 350gsm, made in Korea from a local seller for $14.

You might be able to find them in Korean variety stores in the kitchen section.

Don't wash quality microfibre in hot water or dry them in heat (like in a dryer) as the microfibres burn and become useless.

        • Thanks skid. I haven't used microfibre before but reckon I might buy some decent ones.

Before I do maybe I can ask how do you use them? Wet? Dry? What for? Benches? Glass? How do you clean them?

        • +1

@Bystander: For dusting, I use them dry. If it is to wipe off something, then I use them wet. I use them on anything that scratches easily - LCD screens, glass, car body. I hand wash the cloths in cold water in a basin and hang them up to dry under cover.
