          1. click "buy it now" (items are now sold to you)
          2. wait until code is active to pay.

@brandogs: actually don't think that works. That takes me to a page where I can click "Confirm and pay" only, but I don't want to do that as I can't apply the code yet. It also doesn't show up in my purchase history just by clicking "buy it now". I appreciate your comment though!

        • +1

@phatmike128: There is a way to do it. I'm a seller and people do it to me all the time. Maybe unlink your PayPal account if you can.

        • +3

@brandogs: That won't help. The reason it's coming up with "Confirm and pay" is because the seller checked the box for "Require immediate payment with Buy It Now"

        • @kamoi:
cheers guys, i'll just keep an eye on it for tomorrow then.

        • @brandogs: Can you do that even if the seller requires immediate payment?

  • My cart is ready.

    • you know you can click buy so you secure them but dont pay until the 18% voucher is up

  • to use the voucher in one transaction, do all the items need to be in the same country? or currency?

    • They have to be in the same currency.

Edit: If you have items in multiple currencies you will be shown the following warning.

You have more than one currency in your cart, so you'll complete checkout for each currency separately.

Can we stack codes? For example, the PHONE20 20% kogan/dicksmith iphone deal + this 18%?

        Arhhhh no!!! My poor wallet…

Why down vote me…I was asking a serious question to save my wallet T.T

      • +1

        i didn't down vote you

        Corrected petal.

  • When the condition says does not include "Other Lots More" what does that mean…?

  • got my eye on something. hope they don't jack up the price

    • -1

Buy it now, pay when code is active

      • -1

Think cart adjust to current changes if anything where to be adjusted at final page after refresh it will still go up.

        • -1

          what?

        • No that's not how it works.

  • Heh

  • +1

so really i could buy a friends items x2 and vice versa -10% ebay fee -2% paypal fee = 6% sale price pure profit ?

    • Technically yes, but if they catch you out then they can report you to the cops for fraud, is that 6% worth the risk?

      • +2

        call yourself an ozbargainer

      • Technically it's not fraud as he's not breaking any laws

  • Dang…. did anyone know it was coming?
Had to come on right after i bought some stuff, right? …hmm.. Could have saved $30 if i waited 1 more day,,, :(

    • +1

It came on literally minutes after I paid for a 2k item. Had to settle with 5% :(

  • I am selling an item on ebay via auction. I was thinking of changing it to buy it now price for tonight in order to make the price more attractive. There are no bids at the moment. Just want to check whether my listing will qualify for this promotion?

    • +2

Yes, it should as it is site wide. Buyer will just apply code after purchase to reduce the amount they pay but you still get the buy it now price.

      • +1

        Thanks for the quick reply

  • I need a washing machine and microwave, who would be best to bjy through with this deal guys?

    • Depends on the brand you are after?

  • Any Nintendo switch deals?

I don't want anything- I have reached the final stage of enlightenment.

Although I wish I did not have to mow the lawn- more suffering.

    • You could always buy this

      • Looks good but some mongrel will probably steal it- now I have a selfish craving for a better house with a more secure yard- more suffering.

  • Just checking, this code applies at checkout time, not purchase time, right? If I "buy it now" on stuff during the day, as long as it doesn't need immediate payment, I can pay for it all using the code tonight to get the discount?

Is there any way of knowing when you buy something whether it will require immediate payment?

    • Just asked the same thing

  • This has probably been asked and I did read through most the comments…

But If i Buy something now and wait to pay later will that work?

    • +1

Yes, this is supposed to work, has been discussed above.

  • 1555 upvotes…is this the highest ever?

  • Sorry if this has already been answered -can you buy two items from 2 different sellers in one transaction over $75 and have the discount applied?

    • +1

      Yes

Here's a search link for the deal

  • Bit unrelated but cashrewards is 1.25% for ebay. Wasn't it 1.30% not long ago?

  • +1

am ready to neg this - was ready to purchase alcohol from the dan murphys store - particularly blue label, grey goose and conveniently these are marked as out of stock already.

      • Out of stock on both

        • Grey Goose same price as Dan's and available. Blue Label still available here at $147.60 after discount

        • thanks! am still suss about it all though

    • @superbird
"am ready to neg this …"

I don't see why. DM doesn't appear to have revised the listing this morning other than postage terms so I guess it just sold out. That would be an invalid neg.

    • +1

yeah same here. what a crock! added most of my dans goodies last night into cart and all but two are now out of stock. Is JD for $30.34 too much to ask!!!

  • I think eBay Customer Service might be under the pump this morning. The Contact Us button doesn't work at the moment, almost as if it has been disabled.

        I got visual disability.
        Accessibility function is too complexity.
        Thinking bout life and practicality.
Hard enough to swallow the truth, its toxicity.
You will feel the pain and its proximity
Once you will loose a limb or thinking capacity.

          Wtf

    • User name checks out.

  • Will I be able to apply this if I commit to buy something now but only go through checkout at 6pm?

EDIT - nevermind, read previous comments about this :p

  • I want to buy something from eBay ".com" (not com.au). I remember last time, buying in multiple currencies meant I had to checkout in two separate ways (meaning I didn't make the $75 minimum). Just something to be aware of!

What happens if I'm buying things that need the seller to manually give me a total due to freight costs? I have a few things in my cart like this and there's only a small window for them to get back to me or will I be able to still add the coupon and checkout prior to being given the total inc freight?

    • request total some seller reply fast

      • Yes but will I still be able to add the coupon at checkout if I request a total?

If this works I'm better off buying now, requesting total and waiting for 6pm to pay.

    • I'm having this issue now. Committed to buy but can't check out until Seller replies back to me with total. I took some screenshots of the advertised price (ebay calculated it down by 18% for me) just in case if I don't get the discount then I can raise a dispute with eBay… they should have thought that one through!

  • 6pm AEST I assume?

    • Yes

  • Thanks:) will be buying some shit!

    • Thanks for letting us know.

    • I thought that was free

    • +1

"Thanks:) will be buying some shit!"

Surely that must be an excluded category.

  • Lol free cheese has nothing on this!

    • My Woolies had no free cheese available… Scam!

      • Haha I haven't checked mine yet, but apparently there is still some available, I just couldn't be bothered to go there unless there is something I need.. Coles is closer xD

  • Refurbished but still a great deal LG 34" Curved IPS LED Monitor 3440x1440

  • Hi guys, can anyone recommend a seller of the Xiao Mi Powerbank 2 20000Mah that they've bought from before that isn't Shopping Square? Just read some people's won't be shipped out for a while and I need it for my upcoming holiday soon.

Or can anyone vouch for this seller?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172235183491

    TIA :)

  • If I make an offer on an item and the seller accepts it now (or anytime before 6pm), if I checkout during the sale period, can I still use the code?

I'm not 100% sure on the various scenarios, but I remember reading on another code that the items couldn't already be in your cart or something? I could be mistaken.

    • Yes it normally works
You would want the seller to accept in the timeframe.

    • I wondered the same. I made an offer last night, but made sure it was a price I was prepared to pay even without the further 18%. Seller accepted, and it is currently sitting in my cart awaiting payment. So unless ebay pull something unexpected, it looks like it'll apply.

  • +2

So it's 18% off for the 18th birthday. Unfortunately I don't expect to be alive for their 100% off celebration.

  • Does anyone know the difference between Shoppingsquare ebay account and Apusexpress2 ebay account?
The Apusexpress2 account has some things much cheaper so using this 18% code later today is more beneficial than the 20% code offered this morning.
