Are you asking for a "friend"?

      • +2

hard to say we all have friends.

    • +1

With 13% seller fees, I don't think many would have tried.

  • +1

Damn those macbook prices will be amazing tomorrow night, effectively a 26.2% saving from Myer.

    • Assuming no markups

      • True, it was advertised by ACA however that it would be combined with the Myer Mid Season sale, doesn't say expiry on the website however.

  • so if i buy a mower for 1000 and 100 delivery does the 18% come off just the mower or total with delivery.

    • Discount on mower only

    • +1

      excluding postage costs

  • +13

I'm surprised ACA had a report other than local car hoons or which dishwashing powder works best.

    • im surprised you or anyone watches aca …

      • +3

        I don't watch it.

    • +2

don't forget pensioners and Muslims! that's their usual formula

Is this 6pm to 10pm Eastern Standard Time?

  • Sigh just bought something today. Only $38 dollars but still…

    • Was it this?

    • +1

Minimum spend $75. So cheer up buddy!

  • Where it says it excludes cars, bikes and boats… is that the whole category? If I want to buy a car part, like a radiator, is that excluded, or is it just actual CARS themselves?

    • Like… "Vehicle Parts & Accessories" is a different category, so that should be fine, right?

      • Yeah, I'd say so.

  • Appliance Central has MU7000 55 inch check that out. Little over $1600 when code added when available.

    • +1

You will when you see some deals for this posted.

  • +1

damnnnnn. I am getting an iphone 8

    • +3

      That's nice.

  • Can I Buy It Now today and delay payment until tomorrow and use the voucher then? Or will it only work on items bought during g the voucher offer period? I'm worried the item will be gone this time tomorrow.

    • +1

Yes just pay after 6pm tomorrow.

      • Thanks

  • So I have already commited to buy an item. Now I wonder if I complete the payment between the promo time whether the code will work. Or either the purchase itself and not the transaction has to be also made during the promos timeframe.

    • Snap, we asked exactly the same question at exactly the same time

Technically this isn't eBay's 18th birthday, but eBay Australia's 18th birthday. eBay itself has been around since 1995 (22 years).

    • Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a 'member since 1995' or even close to that on their profile? That would be cool.

    • +1

Amazon has been around since 1994 and they still aren’t here.

      • Closest I have is 2001

        • +1

I've been a member of eBay since June 2000.

        • @MrZ: 1999 here, not sure the month - possibly november or so. Was in the US that time and still continue to use the same account until now

  • what do you guys think would be the best thing to buy

  • Any bargains?

  • +1

should i buy a nintendo switch?

    • looking at that as well

  • Too bad the Xiaomi Air is at super inflated prices on ebay. Is anyone eyeing any Lenovo or other laptop during this?

  • Dont' they always have this now? 15% OFF, 20% OFF etc?

    • Those are usually fake price jack sales. This is the real deal.

      • how. what prevents them from price jacking the current prices?

        • +4

They can, but they lose when the competition doesn't follow suit since the competition now gets the discount as well

  • Sure it will be 1000+ votes before the actual deal begins.

    • +4

      done

  • +2

Where possible i also generally seek to move with the herd.
To that end please accept this pointless comment with my associated and equally pointless upvote.
    Thank you and goodnight.

Now [1] day since i've bought a watch.

    • Where possible i also generally seek to move with the herd.

      And Thespottedcow is our leader

  • how to buy it now and pay later?

  • Be prepared for the biggest price jacking of all time

  • +1

Going to take the day off work tomorrow so I can keep up with all the bargains

Don't need anything, but I'm certain I end up using this discount

    • +3

      6-10 pm.

      • +1

        maybe Your Friend works nights

        • Well then he's taking the night off isn't he

        • +2

@JoJoker: its a figure of speech

  • +4

Coupon is only for 4 hours, the deal was advertised on mainstream TV…their website is going to struggle!

    • Ebay is going to struggle because of aussie traffic? Hmm

    • Yup, I suspect it will too.
Been enough problems with the site & Paypal lately as it is.

    • Stupid thing double posted :/

  • How discount will be on Ebay closing down sale?

  • +1

Does this apply to AU sellers only, or international sellers also?

    • +2

Sitewide, should be okay as long as you're on ebay AU.

    • I'm wondering this too. I don't see any mention of Aus sellers only in the T&Cs.

  • +2

Have had a bullbar for my 4wd in my cart for $2650 for close to a year now! Meant to be!!!!

    • +6

      Must be a big cart

  • What to buy?

  • Nice! Been waiting for a deal so I can buy a gopro5 and some QC35 as going overseas in 7 weeks today!

Hopefully can combine a double deal and get TRS and cashrewards!

    • +4

Make sure you buy from local seller.

  • Been considering the xiaomi mi5s plus as an upgrade from my current r3np. Mainly for the (slightly) larger screen, nfc, qc3 and camera. What other options are recommended around this price range?

  • Ironic that it was on current affair when these exact things cause price jacking…

  • +1

About time!!! Now can't get my fridge+Gopro+phone and tablet!!!

First where's the best place for GoPro 5 black?

    • cheapest local atm is $499 at good guys, so will come down to 410 or so

      • Really u have a link?

        • Just search it on the site. Came up as first result for me =)

      • Not anymore, back up to $548.
This was $468 including a gopro stick worth $35 a couple of weeks ago as normal price.
Sale price of $499 was suppose to finish today, so they cut it off early.
Very ordinary TGG, will buy from overseas shop now.

        • Such poor form from TGG

  • +2

Hope this gets ozbargained then aca can do a story on us professionals

  • +2

    any deals

    • Sure, you could get this for a friend.

      • +2

ill suggest that to my gardener.

  • QC35 or wait for QC35 II…hmm

    • both

    • There are already few QC35 on 20% discount. Why are you waiting for 18%

      • Ha ha…i like the number 18 better than 20…

  • +3

THESPOTTEDCOW I COULD KISS YOU AS LONG AS THAT'S AS FAR AS IT WENT

  • Thanks, Tracey Grimshaw :)

  • +2

18% sounds great but lets be honest, there isn't a single thing on ebay at MSRP. Even the recently popular 'shopmonk' charges 28% more to trade through ebay.

e.g. S8 Coral Blue $699 on shopmonk website vs $999 on shopmonk ebay

    https://shopmonk.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s8?storage=332&color=…
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-Coral-Blue-64GB…

    • -3

could be just a place holder of an item

      • +1

What do you mean? I linked directly to the shopmonk ebay listing where it costs $999 vs the shopmonk website where it's $699 ?
