  • I'm guessing it's not adjustable so I can't make it fit my s5?

    • +2

      Fits my s8
      Is adjustable

    • it's adjustable

  • +1

Got the ones from the last deal this week.

      Thanks for letting us know.

    • Mine arrived sans phone bracket. You?

      • Mine came with the phone brackets inside the pack.

    • Same

    • Same. Ok quality for the price and decent amount of the rubber grip. Dunno how it will go longevity wise but that's why I got two last deal.
Doesn't feel like I'm risking my compact camera on it at all.

  • +5

Thanks, TA. Went through at AUD 0.68 - Aussie dollar mighta strengthened in the past 30 minutes.

    • +1

TA was too scared to make his tripod stand for a 69er.

  • +1 for the code, lol

    • +6

      Reported, invalid upvote.

  • Nice find. Thx.

  • Thanks for the deal OP.
Just wandering how is this deal USD $0.33 cheaper?
    Last deal was USD$0.70.
So it is only USD$0.15 cheaper?

  • TAnx OpTAparse

  • I can't think of any situation that I would need this!?

    • +3

Long exposure at night. (You may wanna manually set low ISO for better image quality in which case the shutter speed has to be low. Without tripod the result would be blurry.)
      Or remote selfie.

      • This does not apply to me :-p Give up on phone for night photo. Remote selfie needs bluetooth remote to control the phone?

        • +3

Not necessarily. You can set a 5 sec or 10 sec shutter delay and I think that's enough in most cases.

          @SilentDissident:
So your gunna neg a deal because you can't do a simple transaction online……

        • +1

@SilentDissident: This is not how you use a negative vote.

I feel this counts as a major issue with retailer. The deal was not honoured, when on paypal it says "You can review your order before you complete your purchase." it places the order automatically. I would imagine that would go against something in paypal's terms or it would not have such wording. There support links takes you to a page (https://support.gearbest.com/faq/index/index) that says "Whoops, looks like something went wrong."

        • +2

          @SilentDissident:

when on paypal it says "You can review your order before you complete your purchase."

yeah that's bs. if you click on continue it will just proceed to pay for it. there's no review. I was jipped 3c because it used my paypal balance and converted to aud. I thought I could still change it on the next page.

Ordered on the last deal. Hasn't shipped yet.

I'm starting to wonder how many people here would buy GearBest "Poop in a bag" for 1cent if it came out.

    • If the postage is free? Hell yeah, I'd buy that for a dollar!

    • +3

      Link please?

    • +1

      does it have band 28?

      • I keep up to date with most jokes on OzB but missed this one. Can you fill me in on the band 28 joke?

And is there an OzB jokes page?

        • +1

Phones from China such as the Xiaomi * do not have the wireless band 28. This is a common frequency(?) For 4G in Australia.

Sorry about probably being off with the details, but it is pretty much memed now for anything bought from China

        • And is there an OzB jokes page?

          You're on it

    • Id ship it to the addresses of people that i dont like :p

      • Funny enough, I think there was a company that did this, they had to stop for obvious reasons, I think it was the same company that does the glitter bomb letters. If you've ever got one, you know what I mean when I say I'd rather the poop in a bag.

  • Despite negative forum feedback around low priced items on GearBest, I ordered this in last deal and it never turned up. Someone persuade me we should be buying anything off these guys.

    • +1

Curiously, was the last deal for this 30 business days ago?

  • can this stand on bed or stomach?

    • depends on how curved the stomach is

  • For some reason, my order in the order status page says "Shipping method: Netherlands Post surface mail"

Both my paypal and manually entered gearbest shipping address are my house (in Australia..)

Anyone shed light on this? I submitted a ticket, they asked me to manually confirm the (correct) shipping info, which I did, and it still says Netherlands post.

    • Well, I can't shed light on it but I too just noticed I have the same shipping listed on status page.
If it helps, I can confirm I recieved the one for "Switzerland Post Unregistered" heh..

      Source: https://i.imgur.com/xZVXvHH.png

This combined with every one of their "Contact Us" links on the order history (etc) going to a dead page I think warrants a rep from gearbest coming in to shed light on these things to make users feel safe(r) in the future.

    • All totally normal with these Chinese sellers. Indeed it'll come via Netherlands post. I've had this plenty of times before.

    • Are u using a VPN and maybe chose Netherlands?

      • Definitely not. Had this happen to me didn't even ship with them. It was ether China or Malaysian post. Tracking I remember was Malaysian post

        • Funny, cos I had my VPN in Netherlands and my GB account was shipping with NL Post, thought it was all my fault.

  • The Code you entered has expired

    • Worked for me 15 minutes ago.

    • Have to log in first

  • +2

Couldn't get ARSETOPUS as the code? ;)

  • It's AUD0.68 for me, thanks OP.

  • Order shows 69c but Amex deducted 68c. 1c profit.

  • +1

Definitely don't need this, as I have the very excellent quality original Gorillapod for phones -
    http://joby.com/griptight-one-gorillapod

But being an Ozbargainer, resistance is futile. Bought!

    Muchos gracias'

  • Code worked, no dramas. Ordered one. Will report back when/if it arrives, thanks :)

  • Good one triass

  • Got mine (ordered 2) last week, quality is amazing for the price but of course nowhere near a Joby brand. Overall quality is just average but no cracks or really loose joints. Very handy accesory. At $4 it's a decent deal, at $0.70 it's a no brainer.

    Showing as expired :(

  • I tried it on one of the other colours and the price went up :(

  • Damn, TA can you negotiate more please!

  • Mine arrived today from this deal.
