So, potential duty + GST + processing fee + shipping in 2 months - am I missing something? Where is the deal?

You're thinking about it all wrong! Think about how much toilet paper would cost if it were made in Australia Pauses for deep reconsideration

If the Gews didn't use child labour to gather resources and mass produce with said resources we'd be paying at the very least (blank).

Point is, I lost my train of thought and don't mind working for $1.85 an hour surrounded by suicide nets but you know what they say, life is cheap and beggars can't be choosers.

On a less depressing note is ne1 getting the third gen apple watch?

  • I reckon it will get charge GST

  • Guys don't worry about GST and tax, most of these sellers declare the goods value as under $1000 or pay the fees upfront for you. For this phone, they will most likely declare it as $950 or below 1k

Recently bought a Mavic Pro from a HK seller on eBay and it was shipped with DHL and the value on the box was $777 compared to $1000-1300. But then again, not all sellers are the same so best to check some reviews on Google first.

You should worry actually - and you got lucky. Customs can assign a market value if they deem the value assigned on the order to be inaccurate. They won't always check, but if they do, they will then assign the Aus RRP to it and base any duty/tax on that.
