        Time is up

NO cancellation email, no calls from store to pick up, no email for pickup…wait is killing me now…

    • +1

      likewise.

      • yep, noting here either

    • In my order history it says backordered for click and collect. I was preparing for exams and this messed up everything, it would be a great loss if they don't honour it.

      • Hahahaha…And this is the only time i love early hours traffic jam on Westgate here in Melbourne..It can allow you to snap this kind of early hours deals…

      • It'll be a greater loss for GG if they do honour it! Basically everyone on this site wants the lowest price, not store allegiance!

        • at least they need to honour their name, not change their colour and be bad guy to ruin ozbargainers day.

  • I'm so glad that at least one person has been able to pickup the order. I wouldn't expect any of the orders with delivery to be honoured.

  • +1

i was one of the first to order and i have yet to receive a cancellation.

    • +1

Same here. I ordered only one for pickup, checked my order history and unfortunately it says its backordered.

missed out again! :(… page no longer available

I was literally eye-balling this the other day.

    • +19

Thanks for the update, none of us were aware that it had expired.

    • +5

Thanks for info mate.. It was very useful.

  • +2

I’ve had an email saying it’s been allocated to store for delivery, fingers crossed !!!

    • +2

at this stage TGG is reading ozb and trying to tease you by stringing you on.

  • +1

    Damn I missed this!

  • +1

To anyone who ordered via store pickup - have you actually received notification that the order is ready yet?

    • +1

Nothing here except someone in this thread has got notification…

    • +1

Plenty have, look at the comments. Not much in the way of proof though.

    • +1

I got a call from the store and email confirmation. Will pick it up ijn about an hour

      • +1

It would be good if TGG are reading this and are rewarding the OP for finding and inevitably cancelling everyone else…

        • +1

Not sure why they would reward OP

        • +8

          @Savas: Because they're good guys.

  • +5

every time this happens… ozbargain just gets someone sacked… lol

  • +1

received a docket invoice saying CANCELLED - store pickup order

ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED AS ADVISED BY SUPPORT
    CENTRE TM

  • +1

Refunding. Confirmed from TGG staff by call

    • +1

Was your order a delivery or in-store pickup?

      • +1

        pickup

    • +8

So you called TGG or they called you?
      If you called them, why?

      • +1

They called me and sent me an cancellation email.

  • +2

TGG are pretty good once I ordered over 200 batteries from them due to a code error and such cost me $10. I ended up getting all batteries.

Still have heaps never used it them

    • +2

Yeah but the beauty of oz bargain is our innate ability to make a honest pricing error into a real headache for the store

  • +2

Ordered 1 back at 8:45 this morning Melbourne time for delivery. Haven't received a cancellation yet

    • Same. Finger crossed waiting would be worth it eventually

  • +1

GOt a call to pick up in store. Too bad im at work and cant get there till after 4

    • +2

Uber driver to pickup for you.

      • +1

They need drivers license and the PayPal email to confirm pick up…

  • +1

Not one person has been able to provide proof that they received their purchase. Relax yourself people, its a pricing error and no one is getting anything other than store credit.

    • +2

I have proof that i havent got any

  • +3

I ordered when the submission had 4 likes and it was a pick up order, got a voice msg from store saying it cannot be honoured and they will be refunding :(

    • +2

That is a heart breaking news.

  • +22

recieved a call to come and pickup.

They said my 4 pallets of 2000 speakers is in the loading zone and to bring a big truck and 1 person with me to load them.

The staff member also said he would be watching my listings on ebay and gumtree

    😂😂😂

  • +1

Went into my local good guys and they have said they are going to email head office and they believe they are gonna cancel all the orders. Awaiting phone call for a store rep.

  • +28

I'm hoping my local TGG store employee woke up this morning saying "I'm gonna head into work and process ALLLLL the click and collect orders before the manager comes in. Surely that'll get me in their good books"

    • hhaha im on the floor right now lol….this comment isnt even that funny, yet it is…#ded

  • +10

I went in to TGG around an hour ago..the two customers in front of me got theirs for $19..I had mine scanned and the manager came over and said to cancel it as the received an email from head office. He also said that any online orders are not being honoured.

    • Spewin.

    • +5

So the lesson is, buy early, order as pick up, get to the store ASAP before they realize whats going on.

    • +1

Yeah, for some reason wouldn't let me click and collect. Worth the try though.

  • +1

This has to be deal of the year if anyone gets one or three … think i paid $180 for mine when they first came out!

  • +10

Its strange despite all this information about peoples orders being canceled, I still hold out hope that mine and mine alone will go through. Its the hope that kills you.

  • +2

Picked up my 4 speakers on my way to work. Surround system, here I come! Thanks OP!

    • +13

Pics or it didn't happen :p

  • +2

Best advice might be to go in-store and pickup the item before the manager comes in and rains on everyones parade. I don't have notification that it is ready for pickup but I'm going to head over there anyway and see if I can just pick it up now.

  • +4

….and still no receipts for the pickup claims lol

  • +4

Can't believe no one's said it yet…. this is one PHANTOM deal…..

  • +1

Just went to Bayswater the good guys, they said they don’t have enough stock and waiting for the head office to tell them what to do, Said they will email when it’s ready !

  • +3

Just picked up my 3 speakers :) Thanks Good Guys.

    • +1

      Now Gumtree?

      • Unfortunately not. I have twins who turn 13 next month - hit the jackpot. Other one will be used by the wife and I.

    • No you didn't.

  • Ultimate regret for not driving into my local goodguys after I bought the speakers at 8:30 this morning!

    • i share the same feeling

  • +18

For those people who are trolling saying they have just picked up x amount of speakers - please stop or show proof, otherwise you're not being helpful

    • +3

It's cause no one actually has.

      • -4

Lol… I just don't want to reveal my receipt. Get over it.

just got paypal email to say I've paid them…

  • -2

What I find really frustrating when a sensational deal like this comes along is not that the product gets OZBARGAINED but the disappointing responses you get from the companies at fault. Clearly the product was available if i was able to order and purchase it as it did not say it was out of stock. If it was a pricing error that should be their F-up and they own and honour their mistakes. If it happened in-store they would have to honour it.

    • +5

Mistakes happen, get over it and get a life.

      • Just a question, do you think they would have refunded us the money if we had actually bought the item and broken it MISTAKENLY ?

        • That's a completely different question and has no relevance to this, and very poor analogy too.

        • +1

@lgacb08: Cheers bro, got 10$ for free for this morning mess.

      • Just stating what the majority of people would probably be feeling right now. You don't have to be so crass and negative bro. I know its just a deal…but sometimes big business doesn't play ball when it comes to honoring consumer law.

  • -2

For those who have put orders through and it has accepted payment, does Good Guys have an obligation to honor the transaction?

    According to this?

    Wrong price
Where all units of the same item have been priced incorrectly or are scanning incorrectly at the register, the seller does not have an obligation to honour that price. In these circumstances, the seller is within its rights to correct the error at the register by offering you the item at the correct price (provided this is done before your payment is accepted).

A seller can’t attempt to correct the error or claw back any money after they have processed your sale and accepted payment, as the transaction (and the contract) is deemed complete at this point.

    Multiple pricing
Multiple pricing occurs when there are two different prices appearing for one product. This situation can arise where some units of the same item have been marked down and others have not. In this situation, the seller is not able to correct the price at the register and is legally obliged to either:

    1. sell the item to you for the lower price; or
    2. remove all units of the item from sale until the pricing is corrected.

And you have to question a store's ability to cancel an order due to pricing error…?

      Cmon now

    • TGG terms and conditions override and probably govern their contract regarding the sale.
      linked here
Not defending TGG. But just being practical that they may be already be covered.

    • A seller can’t attempt to correct the error or claw back any money after they have processed your sale and accepted payment, as the transaction (and the contract) is deemed complete at this point.

The key bit is in bold, the emails are just an order confirmation, they haven't actually processed the order yet. If someone has got their notification that their click and collect order is ready to pick up and then it is cancelled, it might be a different scenario.

      • Thanks, I thought the payment being processed as a confirmation of processed sale, on a technicality money has exchanged hands

        • I guess the non-digital equivalent would be that you are at the checkout and have handed over the cash, this is effectively where the order stage for these are up to. They then have to enter the payment into the system and give you the receipt and product to finalise the sale, this bit hasn't really happened.
