Clicked click and collect this morning - said no stock in my local stores - went in to the store just then - miraculously 5 on the shelves
Also had a print out of the Dyson DC38 with 25% off on David Jones as per this morning - they would not honour it.

Good Guys …… maybe not so much

I'm going to pricematch Officeworks' JBL Clip 2 at $59.95 (I've actually been holding out waiting for an eBay voucher to buy this week), which is already a decent price.
    Now do I;
    1) Price Match in store and pay $49.95 cash or
    2) Buy online and claim back their post sale 120% price guarantee https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/beat-it putting me $69 out of pocket but with a $22.86 Store Credit?
Is there anything to buy for $22?

    • +1

You can get the 20% difference as an EFTPOS card.

      • Valid anywhere?
The wording, PAY LESS eftpos card, "scares" me!

We will happily Payback 120% of the difference as a PAY LESS eftpos card or store credit

        • +1

It's probably just got their branding on it but EFTPOS should be accepted at any Australian digital POS.

        • +2

          @sween64:

          Ah crap…

"Claims less than $50 will only be paid as store credit"

        • @sween64: What does an Australian digital piece of shit look like?

  • Just now I got an email saying mine has been allocated for processing.

  • Anyone had any luck applying their store credit? Trying to add it to my cart and keep getting a message saying it's invalid.

Same thing happened to me when I got credit from them last time for signing up for their newsletter so I just unsubscribed.

    • +1

From memory from one of the newsletter deals, the store credit needs to be applied in a weird field..

      • +1

        Thanks for that, found it!

        • +2

For the benefit of everyone, what was the field?

        • +1

@scubacoles: When you're checking out it's at the payment section, I was trying in the promo code field which is before checkout.

    • +1

No problem applying it for me. Received order confirmation.

  • Someone will have a hard time for that small typo

  • Ordered 8:55AM. Strange I haven't received the cancellation email yet.

    • Check your 'Promotions' tab if you're using Gmail.

  • +1

Just thought I'd come back to this thread/deal a few hours later to see what happened.
Um.. so I don't have any cancellation email, infact I never even got an order confirmation email from TGG.

I did get an initial Paypal transaction one though and I most certainly did have money taken out..
    Well this isn't good =(

    • +1

Check your spam, that where my order confirmation and voucher went

      • +1

        Yeah already checked all that.
I think it was just a combination of the site being throttled and my order half being borked at the time the payment went through.

Going to have to contact them I guess.

  • +33

I successfully picked up 2 speakers. I ordered without logging in, just used PayPal checkout. Got the "order is ready for pickup" email, ran to the store as quick as I could (9.02am) and picked them up. Once picked up, I received another email saying my order was ready for pickup, and then later in the day another email saying my order was cancelled and would be refunded, along with a $10 voucher. Karma got me and I spilt lunch all over myself, but a good day overall. Will be interesting to see if I also get the refund.

  • +2

Can someone suggest something good for $10?

  • +6

    Picked up mine.

How do i attach the receipt?

    • +5

Scan the receipt, then click My Account/Files on OzB and upload. Post link here :)

      • Any chance if officeworks can price match on basis of this receipt ?

        • Lmao no chance - OW never price matches off receipts, only website and since site's been updated, no way.
