Will this drive make my bum look fat ???

    • (Home → New Deals → Apparel) ???
    • Yeh, people are pretty slack with that. Gotta put Computers as the first category as it always seems to be computer parts coming up in apparel :s

So your all saying that this deal for a 1TB 2.5" drive from Samsung is "not a bargain"

When this deal from a month and a few weeks ago > http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/31968

    for a 1TB GENERIC 2.5" drive for @ $230 "WAS!" at 39 +1's

Thats strange can someone tell me why they think this?

    • +1

Probably missed reading the details - they get excited here sometimes and miss those… LOL

      • Opps yeah that was ment to be $130 :) ($129.95)

    • for a 1TB GENERIC 2.5” drive for @ $230 “WAS!” at 39 +1’s

It was not generic, COTD did not tell you the brand however the first reply to that deal revealed the brand.

      The price was $130

      • It was a generic CASE with a brand name drive inside! YES in this world there is no Generic hard drives as only a hand full of companies make hard drives.

But when they are packaged into a cheaply made case they can be of lesser QTY then the brand named case's + drive combo's that also come with more then 12 months warranty

This one comes with 3 years from Samsung!

It was a generic CASE with a brand name drive inside

          No it wasnt.

Click on the google link in the first reply and compare the segate website to the COTD page.
It is the same text as the segatre portable enclosure.

Compare the black image COTD has to the segate enclosure, they are identical.

This is a good price for a 1TB 2.5" external drive

  • Don't know why all the hoohah. Sure it could be cheaper but it is the cheapest 1TB 2.5" I can find today, not to mention in the previous few weeks.

I won't be pulling the trigger though as everybody's money seems to be on the pricing of these coming down drastically in the near future.

    • its always better to buy when you need something then when you want something :)

  • I'm giving you a + for the effort. Thanks vid_ghost.
