In the latest VIC Retravision catalogue I got in the post, page 10 bottom left…
They have a “Sony 46” NX710 3D BRAVIA LED TV” for $2299. This is eligible for the PS3 3D pack too. Cheapest I can find is well over 2.5k

In fact I went in to Retravision today, and they said it was a "printing error" and it should have said $2699.

Then said cheapest he could do was $2500 something. So I went to JB next door usign the RV catalogue and got it for $2299, plus $288 for 5 year warranty.

      lol I've put it in the envelope already to claim the PS3 3D pack! I don't think the deal is really all that anyway, you should be good 2 go with just the retravision catalogue.

      Another OzBargainer "ktl" got the same price from JB - actually I think a better deal than me since they got some 3D glasses thrown in, their receipt would be the one to get…

          I took a photo of it, haven't looked too closely at it. The sh1t has just hit the fan @work right now, so I can't do anything for the next few hours.

    Interesting… NARTA (who JB HiFi buy through) obviously seems to have better buying power than Retravision.

      Actually, it's not LED backlit either.

      The NX710 range of TVs are all LED edge-lit

    just regarding the entertainment pack claim - GT5 is included… so this TBA release date for that would affect the delivery of the pack right?

    Chivalry - they deliver it to you in two lots due to GT delay.

    Would this be valid Aust-wide or only in VIC?
    That is a critical "printing error", I'm guessing someone lost their head(job) for that doozy!

      The catalogue is Vic, Tas & Southern NSW (they have a different catalogue for Northern NSW & Qld).

    Does this Sony Bravia allow you to plug in a USB or external hard drive and directly play movies (i.e. avi files etc) straight off the bat without any fussing around?

    Neither my current Bravia nor the one I got my grandparents allow you to do this so I have to run movies via my 360 and they run movies via a media player.

      Manual says avchd, mp4, and mpeg1 only. Basically only video camera formats are supported. It does look for dlna servers on your wifi/ethernet though, so it supports streaming from lan, and direct from internet.

      But i'm finding that the sound quality is shight from this tv, there is zero bass, it sounds like a $5 transistor radio. I've had to resort to plugging it into my mission ms10 sub full time. Which is severe overkill for watching abc2. but at least it is now bearable.

    Guys, Bought this after i saw the post in ozbargain…TV is superb! Though struggle to get jbhifi nunawading price matching but finally got Doncaster JBhifi matching the price. No complaint and 3d pack is coming soon!!

      Called Doncaster JB, told me that there was a mistake, but to call back tomorrow when theres a manager around, I am thinking it wont go thru at Doncaster again.. i guess it may work at other locations.. unless they all got the memo.. top deal tho ;-)

    So has nobody else noticed the tinny sound quality from this tv? I'm wondering if mine is faulty, its like the bass speaker isn't working at all. It sounds like laptop speakers compared to our old lcd tv.
