Hisense 55N7 55" UHD TV $1035 + $60 Harvey Norman Gift Card

Also a good price, similar to the previous TGG deal. Potentially $935 with 1 enrolled AmEx Card or $835 with 2 enrolled AmEx cards. $3 cheaper than the 20% off JB deal and $44 cheaper than Video Pro via the 20% off eBay sale + you get a $60 Harvey Norman gift card as well.

Hisense 50N6 50" UHD TV $635 + $40 Harvey Norman Gift Card

Also a good price for those on a budget, you miss out on HDR for the $160 savings on the more popular 50N7 though. Thanks buckster. Potentially $535 with 1 enrolled AmEx card. Once again it's $3 less than the 20% off JB deal and you get a $40 gift card as well.

You're only new here so probably didn't know, but you should always check with Hamza first before buying anything.

    • +2

Jb now has it for 795. Check if they have price guarantee or return option

  • Are those tv support HDR10? Ask so as Xb1x only support hdr10.

    • +2

Yeah, I think Port 2 and 3 only? I have my One S in port 2 and it works, but had to switch HDMI 2.0 mode to enhanced, not standard for it recognise it.

      • How about port 1? Normal 4k hdmi port?

Actually is way for us to identify which TVs are support HDR10?

        • To be honest, I looked at so many TVs over the last week, that port 2 and 3 bit could easily be for another TV I was looking at. But 100% does HDR10 on Port 2. I can check tonight when I get home?

        • @johnno1987:

Thanks mate. I'm looking for a 4k HDR10 TV for Xb1x. If this one have, then will get it

        • @songjing: HDMI 1 and 2 both do HDR10 and 4k at 60hz. HDMI 3 and 4 do 4k at 30hz.

        • @johnno1987: Thanks mate. Appreciate

Soooooo chhhheeeaappppppp. Nice formatting in the post too! Great deal for anyone who hasn’t already paid more than this… like myself.

  • JB has cheaper shipping though, better overall if you're not interested in the gift card.

  • +3

It's never been a better time to be broke.

  • Should apply to Amex deal for another $100 off?

    • The AMEX deal is closed so unless you registered when it was open then applying for another AMEX won't help.

    • +1

Yes mentioned in the description. Can use 1 or 2 AmEx cards for a further $100 or $200 off, as long as you've already enrolled as enrollments are closed.

  • +1

This is a great deal as I've been in the market for a tv and can further save by picking the thing up.

  • With 2 AMEX cards enrolled, do you need to get HN to split the bill between 2 cards when in-store???

    • Yes

      • Thanks for that.

  • 67N7 is going for 1595 + 110 AUD gift card. You can possibly add that as well

    • That one is posted here :)

      • Saw that just now. My bad

  • Also while we are at it, can any one tell if N8 or N7 is a better buy?

    • +1

They are very similar panels, obviously the design is a bit different though.

      • N7 has 4 HDMI ports, N8 only has 3
      • N8 has a slightly higher peak brightness of 500 nits, N7 450 nits
      • N8 has slightly better sound, and better motion interpolation (according to reviews)
    • +1

I got the n8 65 inch. No need for the extra HDMI for me as I run it through an amp. I watch more sports and racing and play games so the motion enhancement "issues" I haven't really noticed. My PQ looks good too. We have a darken room for the tv and blacks look good. Haven't noticed anything amiss.
Also wife liked the design better on the 8. Basically borderless and single leg stand. For the four hundred difference in price its pretty much your call.

      • Thanks for your inputs. N7 it is then if there's no significant upgrade in PQ. For 2K, I would stretch Abit and rather go for 55 OLED.

  • anyone know if the gift card has a expiry date on it?

    • Gift card expires 24 months from date of issue

  • anyone know if the good guys will come back with a better deal than this?

    • +2

      Probably, they're good guys.

      • then who are the bad guys?

  • Hope this isn't a silly question. How does this compare to the 50N6 JB is selling? Are there many improvements (since this is the newer model)?

    Thanks!

    • +1

The jump from N6 to N7 is quite significant a better panel, local dimming (less bleeding), faster processor and few other improvements. I would say its worth the extra $

  • Don't the N7 models switch to a better quality panel (true 10bit) ar some size point? 55"/60"?

  • This or KD49X7000E?

    • N7 is better than X7000. Worse than Sony X8500+ or Samsung MU6400/MU7000+.

      • Great price I just bought a Sony KD49X7000E from VideoPro with the 20% of PREZZY code. I think the N7 has local dimming and wide colour gammut over the Sony.

Not sure the panel type on the HiSense but the Sony is IPS.

Missus vetoed the Hisense due to not being a major brand, but otherwise I would have bought it instead.

  • +1

Good deal, keep in mind that Hisense TV's don't play well with Logitech Harmony remotes though, due to their dynamic HDMI input menus.

  • Can anyone comment on the smart functions of the N7 tv's? I.e. speed of response. Mainly using it for netflix but wasnt sure how it stacked up. I just dont one a TV which lags.

    • +1

I bought the 55 N7 a few days ago during the good guys deal, smart functions are great with good integration of the buttons and no lag at all (at most ~0.5 secs). Happy buyer

      • Good feedback, appreciate it

    • +1

I only use the YouTube app and it is quite good. Supports 4k res too.
The other app I would have liked to use is the DLNA app but it is ridiculously basic. Doesn't work for my DLNA server when all other TVs I had in the past worked fine.

  • Do anyone have experience in using it as computer monitor?

Or may be 43 inch model which is also on sale for $595?

Not sure why but all the 32 inch 4K monitors are expensive!

  • Is there any coupon to get free shipping on Harvey Norman

    • Oh yeah you could use Shipster to get free shipping with Harvey Norman? They have a free 2 month trial at the moment. Edit: No good, $20 minimum as mentioned below.

      • But I think capped right ? Upto $20 max ?

        • Ah yeah you're right, no good then.

  • +1

Can anyone that owns an N7 comment of the contrast ratio? The Hisense specs have it at 1200:1, which is odd considering the lower spec N6 is 4000:1.

  • Seems like all 3 linked are "out of stock"?

    • Still available. I purchased 50n7 min. Ago

      • same here, still see stock
