    Anyone still use this? I have sickbeard set up and it never finds anything, retention is terrible these days.

      Use Sonarr instead. Never had a problem finding current stuff. Depends on which provider you have.

        Newsgroupdirect which I think is one of the crap ones. Thanks for the tip on Sonarr, I'll check it out.

        On it's own Sonar can't find anything, it needs indexers to be configured…. my experience is the free indexers aren't that great (even the paid ones are a bit flaky in these days of DCMA takedowns)

          I used to be a fan of omgwtfxnzbs but my subscription ended a while ago and never went back to it when it came back online.

          Any other indexers you suggest?

      Sickbeard isn’t maintained anymore. I think last main release was 2014.

      There are multiple alternatives out there. Sonarr is popular.

      In terms of finding files, I’ve had no retention issues at all with Usenet.Farm and very very rarely are things taken down. Just need to find yourself a decent Indexer.

          Take a look around on Reddit etc. plenty of lists places to go. Some paid, some free. Use as many as possible seems to be a conistent suggestion.

    I got the "free trial" for 10GB then bought a 50GB block, and it trashes your 10GB.

    So, lesson learnt, if you want free 10GB, use that first THEN buy a block :)

    Wow I can't believe I still used Sickbeard. Sonarr is so much better. Thanks @SuperC!! It found all the missining episodes straight away. Wasn't that hard to set up too.

    Also @FantasticShirt thanks for the headsup in regards to this deal. Bought the 500GB block.

    Does anyone know if usenet is better than newshosting? I've been using newshosting for years but usenet seems to be much cheaper (1/2 price).

      Newshosting is a Usenet provider, just like Usenet.farm. Having never used Newshosting I can’t tell you whether it’s better or not. But I’ve had 0 issues with Usenet.farm for the years I’ve been using them. Get amazing speeds and great retention. Not sure what Newshosting could provide to justify being double the price

      The rule is to choose a different Tier 1 distributors.
      Choose 1 provider that has an unlimited plan (as a main provider), and choose another tier 1 distributor (block plan is enough) as a backup.
