from Amaysim and they have 10% discount plus its dual sim and has my fav color (Orchid Gray)

    • +3

N950F/DS is dual sim version, apart from warranty there is no difference between Au stock N950F.

      • NO issues with Samsung Pay?

        • you can install the Samsung pay Au framework, no issue at all.

  • +1

Will the stores price match based on that screenshot? Or do we need to wait until the website updates too?

  • +1

if you are color conscious than you wont get other colors apart from Gold and Black

  • +1

Does Harvey Norman price match if I call them? And can I pay through phone by a mix of gift cards and credit card (I've still got the Amex offer)

    • +2

      go in store silly

      • +1

At work and will have no time to go in Store :(

        • Then no phone for you. I am thinking of popping into hardly normal during work hours and try my luck.

  • +1

Is there any stock coming up at Office Works?
All the places near me are listed as "Out of Stock"

    • +1

I live in Melbourne and the stores around me are showing up as "limited stock - call up to confirm" rather than "out of stock".

    • 3 left in Pitt St Sydney as of half an hour ago.

    • Give them a call on 1300 OFFICE and get them to deliver it to you instead including the 5% price beat :)

  • +1

Would this be available online with JB Hifi?

    • Its online right now

  • +1

good use of the $200 gift card from signing up to the Telstra phone plan and then F&F

  • +1

Got two Hn gift cards. Yay

  • +1

Will there be a s8 deal too?

  • +1

I was in jb this afternoon (Perth Store) was $1499. Is this offer nationwide ?

  • +1

I feel like I should sell my S8 from the Telstra deal sealed, and then get this from either Jb, Ow match, or HN match with Amex tomorrow. Seems like a good way to do it.

Only concern is a 2 year phone contract with Telstra without then being able to use new phone feeling in 12 months. Hmm

  • +1

I just then tried to get them to hold for me tomorrow as I'm at work, they said come back tomorrow.

  • +1

https://shop.samsung.com/au/ - has a Black Friday weekend starting in ~13 mins.

Rookie question : Going back to France in a few days. Considering buying it and claim GST at airport. Is it the exact same model that is sold in Europe ? Can't find the answer on the web.

  • +1

This or LG V30 for 200 more? Seems like a no brainer but that Note 8 size just seems over the top.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/lg…

    • Same dilemma. Been waiting for the v30 for ages. Played around with the demo at jbhifi . Everythings great except the front camera with poor image quality for flagship model and $$$. Note 8 at this price range is so tempting but I feel I'm betraying the v30. First world problems

price is 999 now, gets this message at checkout "we are unable to process delivery orders right now. Please try again later"

Got one, paid $925 with 7.5% voucher. Will claim TRS next week, on my way to Singapore. $825 not bad price for AU warranty.

    • +1

How? it's still giving me the error message…

      • +1

        Not sure bud.

    • +1

      ambassador card or similar?

      • +2

        Corporate discount

        • +1

Didn't even think of that! I can do this with my job too.

        • +1

www.jbcommercial.com.au is still showing it as 1499 AUD…

        • +1

Looks like I can only get a % off and I have to do it in gift cards which won't arrive for ages probably - horseshit!

    • +1

7.5 voucher. Which voucher is this?

    • +1

Do we need to request some special receipt for TRS from JB Hifi or anything for TRS? I'm going on holiday next month

      • +1

The tax invoice they will provide you will be sufficient.

    • +1

Nice. How'd you get 7.5% voucher?

    • +1

For me, it was either 7.5% vouchers or 5% using OW pricebeat. I went with OW pricebeat ($949) because for the extra $25, I get to pay using my credit card which gives me an additional 1 year warranty (plus I get points on my credit card but I suppose you also get points if you pay for your vouchers using credit card).

  • +1

    Click and collect works fine.

    • +1

No luck here, "Sorry, we are unable to process Click & Collect orders right now. Please try again later"

      • +1

Try another store, it could be due to low stock.

  • +1

    where's the 7.5% voucher?

  • +1

Anyone recommend extreme toddler proof case?

  • I switched from iPhone to Samsung galaxy s8 and while I find it okay I find the photo contrast are way too saturated that it's not natural. I got the feeling that the contrast will the same in the Note lines. Photos are so ugly, nothing like iPhones and Pixels.

    • No iphones are as saturated as Samsungs.

      • +1

I switched from iPhone myself to contest that the photos in Samsung are too saturated and colours aren't as natural. Google results proved my suspicions between the two phones.

    • I am in the same boat as you. Got the iPhone X but find it pretty useless in comparison to the previous apple models and screen feels much smaller. Do you recommend the move to Note 8 or should i stick with the X?

      • Depends what you use the phone for. If you really want to take good pictures then iPhone.

How is iPhone X useless? Screen is def bigger though?

        • Dont feel much change in screen when moving from a 7 plus. Also i dont really worry too much about photos. My 7 plus took photos with which was was quite satisfied… biggest disappointment in the X is SCREEN SIZE, NO HEADPHONE JACK and double price.

        • You could just stick with the 7 plus.

If you're switching to Android then I'd recommend Pixel because you won't really notice much difference and software is smooth. iPhone users moving to Samsung will notice much difference that is subtle in iPhones. There's the lag, app crashes, tapping in certain apps don't work, loading apps is much slower, phone is not really viewable under sunlight even when screen brightness is full, you may not like the keyboard.

        • The phone gets really hot under sun and playing intensive apps. People say that's normal but this problem in iPhones aren't as significant as Samsung and Apple has found a way around it. iPhones have their owners customised CPU.

I'm ranting cause I switched from iPhone and I dislike it. You're better off getting a pixel if you really want Android experience

  • I don't need this….

    • +1

      but….

      • we are ozbers. buy even u dont need it :P

  • For those looking for a gift card discount, RACQ has 6% off JB Hifi gift cards… so that brings it down to $940

(In fact my 7.5% corporate discount slugs a credit card fee which takes it up to $938, so much the same anyway)

  • Hi.. anywhere I can clam cash back if I ordered online?

  • I would jump on this, if I didn't have 9 months contract with my s7 edge, not happy

    • Which is why I keep saying don't go on contracts with handsets attached…

    • You can still sell contact phones, some buyers are afraid but others don't care.
Unless they are the new scammy lease plans where you have to hand it back at the end.

  • +1

Paid $699, $200 gift card from the Telstra offer and $100 from Flybuys :)

Already have one, but will give the wife mine as a surprise (when the screen is repaired free).

  • +3

Excellent deal. Ended up had a chat with Harvey Norman online, and they price march it for me, and used my Amex to get another $100 discount. Looking forward to TRS 10% back as well!

    • Did you pay online? or had a choice of paying in store?

      • Yes, paid online and click and collect. You just chat with Harvey Norman online chat and they will generate special link for you.

I already got email from Amex that I will get $100 back.

        • +1

Harvey Norman dropped their prices to $978 so ended up calling them to get $21 refund. Will pick up the phone tomorrow

  • Am I missing something? why is this such a good deal, its only $50 off staticice listings

  • Damn bought mine with 3 amex cards still can't beat this price just two weeks ago , spuing…. Damn u JB

  • Just got it priced matched from Office Works for $949.
Paid with American Express Essential Credit Card which included Smartphone Screen with Insurance.

  • I am still using Galaxy S6. It is starting to slow down, but it still does everything I need it to so can't quite justify this.

  • +1

hope HN can price match this~

  • price matched HN -$100 with amex plus -$100 with $400 vouchers i bought with amex - if only i was going abroad would be ~$700

  • +1

Too expensive HN have it for $978 ;)

Edit: weird, seach shows 978 but when click shows 1197

    • Yep theyve dropped the price.

    • Showing $978 for me too, pulling the trigger

    • Bought from them $978

      • Same here. and add some accessories to the cart and see what happens :P

        • i guess if use 2 amex, you got to go to store and buy instead of online. :(

          i work until 6pm :( :(

  • Got my click and collect notification that it's ready at 7.30am. Nice.

  • I've also managed to get it from Harvey Norman for $978 minus $200 from the Amex cash back. No need to price match with jb
