Way too expansive, way, I got for last Christmas gigabyte laptop with gtx 1070 and 17.3 screen for roughly $2150.

Maybe you can ask them to take it out of the original packaging and send it like that to avoid tax, and mark it as a gift.

    • Gigabyte Aero? Im after something lightweight so i can play games while at work =P
Maybe I will wait for X'mas for a similar deal as yours.

How is this deal appealing to anyone?

    Here you go mate, https://www.harveynorman.com.au/msi-gf72vr7rf-leopard-pro-17…

A couple extra inches in your pocket plus a few bucks saved in your wallet… and not having to deal with issues on international warranty claims…

    • Thanks, might check it out at the shops tomorrow, the GS63VR weight appeals to me at around 1.8kg

      • The Ghost is "lightweight" compared to leopard.
Pay extra and get the ghost of you travel a lot.

    • Thanks for sharing. Any comment on how's the screen of this MSI compared with the one of Dell Inspiron 7577?

Couldn't really comment as I'm trying to get back to PC gaming, but a similar spec reviewed by Dave Lee here
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvkZRMPM8aQ

Again the premium price is mainly for the weight and size. Gigabyte Aero 15 is something else I'm hunting a bargain for.

        • Cheers, I appreciate it!

I have been after Dell Inspiron 7577 (i5-7300HQ, GTX 1060 MAX-Q, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for a while, and the recent lowest price was $1,349. No idea if should pay more to get i7-7700HQ, the normal GTX 1060 and 16GB RAM.

          Dell Inspiron 7577

        • @mrhorse:
Well that dell is kinda what triggered my craving for a gaming laptop, I was surprised at how good the graphics are on normal size looking laptops now.

My craving kinda went from Dell 7577 > MSI GS63VR > Gigabyte Aero > ROG Zephyrus… man this is a sexy beast, then i realized my budget was around $1500..

        • @bakalien: haha, glad that I opened another window for you. Now the P5OZZIE for 5% off ebay is still working on the Dell model, plus the 5x flybuys points, the price could be down to 1400-ish.

And, literally just now, when I mentioned the GS63VR to a friend, he said he has one upgraded to 512GB SSD, 4K screen but i7-6700HQ for 1600…

now I am struggling again now

        • @mrhorse: Can i have your friend lol

        • +1

@bakalien: still in the middle of negotiation… my budget is also within 1500 lol

        • @bakalien: pulled the trigger just now. I am surprised by how much it weighs, as light as a Macbook.

I just saw the myer 20% off deal is now on, better wait until another ebay sitewide deal to buy the dell.

        • @mrhorse: Yeh gonna wait for 20% off. Just checked out the stores, the Gigabyte Aero looks quite good too!

Let me know if you have another friend off loading the toys!

  • Why is the 28 degrees card cheaper?

    • I thought Amazon charges a higher conversion fee? and 28 degrees card charges Master card exchange rate?
Not sure as I always found it's cheaper with the 28 degree for oversea transaction compared to Paypal/Amazon conversion.

  • It is not a good deal, i saw this one but I7 6700HQ only US$1049 at newegg

The most Annoying thing about stealth pro is the position of its power button, I have used one for a couple of days and the number of times I accidently turned it off or put it in sleep mode is countless, yes it is lightweight for what it has got but with this serious design issue, I would not recommend his laptop to anyone.

    • Can't you just change the settings in Windows to stop that? I did that on my desktop to stop the cat turning my pc off. Is there any reason it won't work on a laptop as well?

  • Can someone teach me how to calculate the import tax please?

  • Why wouldn't you wait until JB or HN have 15% off computers its bound to be one in a couple weeks..

Hey I have the old Stealth, so offering my 2 cents (hope it helps)

    Pros-
    - Small and lightweight
    - Can play any game (even my 2 year old one)
    - It's like a mullet - professional in the front and party in the back

    Cons -
    - It gets a bit hot and the rubber feet have melted off. I only use it on a tray
    - BC it overheats I think it's prone to trouble and the MSI customer service is SOOO shit… typical Asian/MSY 'I don't give a (profanity)' mentality #casialracism I've had to site ACCC a few times and had to give it into repair 4 times :(
    - Price
    - Things like usb's and SD cards stick out the side and are not flush so you break them sometimes.

FINAL THOUGHT - I'm not really sure if I'd get another MSI product by the way their head office acts, but if/when the unit works its pretty good. Easy to transport, looks good and plays games well. I'd still look around at alternative though.
